CLOCK RADIO USER MANUAL
Thank you very much for buying the PTEC TAMARO. In order to let you freely operate the product
and fully enjoy the overbalancing happiness it brings you, we have introduced each function of the
player in detail in this user manual. Please carefully read this user manual before use and keep
for future reference.
If you pass the Clockradio on to someone else, make sure to give them all the relevant
documents with it.
The device has been developed for the receiving DAB+/FM radio programs. The device has been
designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial purposes.
The items enclosed in the packaging box are as follows:

Do not drop the device and do not expose it to liquid, moisture or humidity. These might lead to
damage to the device.
If the device is moved from a cold environment into a warmer one, do let it adapt to the new
temperature before operate the device. Otherwise, it might lead to condensation and cause
malfunctions in the device.
Do not use the device in the dust environment as dust can damage the interior electronic
components and lead to malfunctions in the device.
Protect the device from strong vibrations and place it on stable surfaces.
Do not attempt to disassembly the device.
If the device is not using for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply by
unplugging the power plug. This is to avoid the risk of fire.
The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as

newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
Risks associated with high volumes
Listening the device with headphones, always reduce the volume before put on the headphones.
After the headphones are positioned properly, increase the volume to the desired level.
To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume for long periods.

Initial use
Before operation, please make sure that VOLTAGE mentioned on the Standby supply is same as
the voltage of your local area. Use the supplied mains adaptor to connect the device to a
household mains socket.
Connect the mains adaptor to the DC jack, fully extend the telescopic antenna, plug in and switch
on at the mains. “Welcome to Digital Radio” will be shown on the screen and the
clock( 00:00)(Time is not set) will flash in the display. (Initial use or after “Factory reset”, pls set the
time, long press Menu/Info in working mode, then Enter button to set Settings –Time/Date”, or
press “Standby /mode” button to scan the radio.
When DAB mode is activated for the first time, a scan will automatically commence or will play the
last station before the unit was turned off.
Press “Mode/ Standby” button repeatedly to switch between DAB, FM and Bluetooth.
Long press “Mode / Standby” button into Standby mode.
4. DAB function

Press the “Mode / Standby” button repeatedly to switch to DAB mode.
The DAB mode will automatically be selected and the first time the radio is connected to the
supply the radio will perform a quick scan. The display will show ‘Scanning’ a slide bar that
indicates the progress of the scan, the name of the last station found and the total number of
stations found so far.
When the scan is finished the radio will play the first alphanumerically found station. If the radio
does not find any stations, ‘AUTO SCAN NOW’ displayed. Press Enter to scan again.
To listen to all stations that have been stored use the Prev and Next button to scroll through them.
Press the “Enter” button when on the required station.
The radio will display station information when you press the ‘Info/Menu’ button. Press multiple
times to view all information available.
When you turn on the radio again after it switching off, it will automatically tune to the same station
(DAB or FM) that was last selected.
Remarks : In DAB mode, the radio will synchronize with the time and date of the station.
Station information for DAB Radio
Signal Strength : Displays a signal bar with the strength of the current station.
PTY (Programme Type) : shows the type and description of the program provided by the DAB
station.
Station name : Shows station name
Channel and Frequency : Displays the station’s transmission channel number and frequency.
Signal Error : Provides details of the signal error rate.
Bit Rate : The date rate which the signal is being transmitted.
Time : Shows the hour/min/sec
Date: shows DD/MM/YEAR
How to store a preset station
Up to 20 stations can be set. To store a station that you are currently playing :
Press and hold ‘1’ or ‘ 2 ‘ button. ’Empty’ will show on the display, press Enter, the display will then
show ‘Preset # Stored’.
Press and hold ‘3+’ button, press ‘Prev’ or ‘Next’ button to select the number (1-20) you want to
store the station as. Then press the “Enter” button to save. The display will then show ‘Stored’.
How to recall a preset radio station
Press the ‘1’ or ‘2 ‘ button into preset 1 or preset 2 to play the stored station.
Press ‘3+’ button, and press the ‘Prev’ or ‘Next’ button to scroll through your preset stations. Press
“Enter” button to confirm.
Menu
Press and hold the ‘Menu/info’ button to step into setting surface
Auto scan now
Select ‘Auto scan now’ by pressing “Enter” button to start scanning.
Manual Scan
Select ‘Manual Scan’ by pressing “Enter” button to choose from 5A 174.928mhz to 13F

239.200mhz, then press ‘Enter’ to play scan
DRC
Select ‘DRC’ by press next button, then press “Enter” button to step into, DRC off/DRC high/DRC
low can be optional, then press “Enter” button to confirm.
Prune
If want to delete such stations without signal in the station list, press enter button, select ‘Yes’ or
‘NO ‘by press next/ Prev button, then press “Enter” button to confirm.
Kitchen Timer
Press ‘Enter’ to set timer, 00 :00, press previous /next button to choose the hour and minutes and
press ‘Enter’ to save.
Settings
Press Enter into Settings.
Equaliser, press Enter into Treble or Bass, then press previous /next button to choose the
number from -3 ~+3 and press Enter to save the setting.
Time /Date
1) Set Time/Date
Press next/prev button to select hour/min/date/month/year, then press “Enter” button to confirm
and saved.
2) Auto update
Press next button to select ‘No update’ or ‘Update from Both’ or ‘Update from DAB’, or ‘Update
from FM’, then press “Enter” button to confirm.
3) Set 12/24 hour
Press next button to select 12 or 24 Hour format and Press enter to confirm
4) Set Date format
Press next button to select ‘DD-MM-YYYY’ or ‘MM-DD-YYYY’, then press “Enter” button to
confirm.
Language
Press next button to select English/ Français /Deutsch/Italiano/ Espanol, then press “Enter” button
to confirm.
Factory Reset
Press next button to select ‘No’ or ‘Yes’, then press “Enter” button to confirm.
SW version
Press “Enter” button to check the SW version of unit.
5 FM function
Press the ‘Mode’ button multiple times to switch to ‘FM’ mode. The first time you do this,
FM frequency ’87.5 MHz’ will be displayed on the screen.
Fully extend the antenna.
Press and hold the ‘Prev/Next’ button can start scanning up the frequency band and play the first
station it finds with good signal.
Furthermore, press the ‘Prev/Next’ button can scan back or forward by each 5mhz.
The radio will display station information when you press the ‘Info/Menu’ button, press multiple
times to view all information.

Menu
Scan setting
Press and hold the ‘Menu/Info’ button to step into, then press next button to select ‘Scan setting’,
press “Enter” button to confirm.
Press next button to select ‘All stations’ or ‘Strong stations only’, then press “Enter” button to
confirm.
Audio setting
Press and hold the ‘Menu/Info’ button to step into, then press next button to select ‘Audio setting’,
press “Enter” button to confirm.
Press next button to select ‘Stereo Allowed’ or ‘Forced mono’, then press “Enter” button to
confirm.
Station information for FM Radio
Signal Strength : Displays a signal bar with the strength of the current station.
PTY (Programme Type) : shows the type and description of the program provided by the FM
station.
Station name : Shows station name
Audio Type : Displays the audio type of the station you are listening to. It will either be stereo
or mono.
Time : Shows the hour/min/sec
Date : Shows the date/month/year
How to store a preset station

6. Bluetooth function
Press the ‘Mode’ button multiple times to switch to ‘Bluetooth’ mode.
Connect the Bluetooth pairing name “PTEC Tamaro” on your device, and then start the
playback.
Press enter button to play/pause the music.
Press vol-/vol+ button to adjust the volume.
Press the Next/Previous button to select forward track or previous track.

Press Enter button to disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
Alarm Setting
Note: Check that the radio has the correct time and date before you set an alarm.
Press Alarm button to select Alarm 1 or Alarm 2, then press “Enter” button to confirm.
Then press next button to select alarm on or off, then press enter button to confirm
Select hour/min by pressing next button, then press “Enter” button to confirm.
Press next button to select Alarm source (DAB/FM/Buzzer), then press “Enter” button to confirm.
Press next button to select Alarm mode (Once/Weekends/Weekdays/Daily),
then press “Enter” button to confirm.
Press next/ prev button to select alarm volume then press “Enter” button to saved.
Sleep
Press ‘Sleep’ button, You can select off-15 minutes-30 minutes-45 minutes-60 minutes-90
minutes by pressing next/prev button, then press “Enter” button to confirm.
Dimmer
There are different dimming levels for standby and for operation. Press the dimmer button to
select your desired brightness.
Level 1: very dark
Level 2: slightly brighter (after 10 seconds the display turns off again. Press "Dimmer", then the
display will turn back on for 10 seconds. )
Level 3: medium brightness (the display stays on permanently)
Level 4: bright (the display stays on permanently)
Level 5: very bright (after 10 seconds the display switches off again
Press "Dimmer", then the display will turn back on for 10 seconds. )
You can choose the display brightness individually for standby or operation.
Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, you can press Snooze/ Dimmer button to go to snooze. The default time
for this function is 9 minutes.
Note: You can press the ‘Standby/Mode’ button to stop the Snooze function.

the shop where you bought the device.
Dispose of all packaging in an environmentally -friendly manner.
Cardboard packaging can be taken to paper recycling containers or public collection points for
recycling.
Any film or plastic contained in the packaging should be taken to your public
Warranty terms
The warranty period shall commence on the purchase date. Please keep your original receipt in a
safe place. This is required as a proof of purchase.
If a material or production fault occurs in this product within 24 months of the purchase date, we
shall – at our discretion – repair or replace the product free of charge.
This warranty requires that the defective device has to be sent to the service center together with
the original proof of purchase and a brief description of the fault within these 24 months.
If the fault is covered by our warranty, you will receive the repaired product or a replacement
device.

The warranty period shall not begin again if the product is repaired or replaced.
Processing of warranty claims
Contact our support (see our website). Have the serial number and the proof of purchase ready.
Our support may already be able to solve the problem. If the problem cannot be solved, you will
receive instructions on where to send the device to.
