(2.4GHz/5GHz) Setup

Enabling the WiFi 5GHz
DX825 WiFi Setup Manual at http://www.p1.com.my/customercare/dx8125-support
Step 1
Connect DX825 modem to your notebook through the Ethernet cable. Open your internet browser
and enter this URL: http://10.1.1.254.
Key in USERNAME: admin and PASSWORD: admin123 as shown in the above (or below) diagram.
Step 2
Once entered DX825 main dashboard page, click on the WiFi tab to enter the modem WiFi
status section. The default WiFi is 2.4GHz

Step 3
Under “Wireless Settings” section, click on the “WiFi 5GHz”.
Click on the “Enable” button to activate the WiFi 5GHz.
Step 4
The DX825 modem will take about 10 seconds for processing. Then, proceed to click the
“Apply” button.

Step 5
Click “Status” tab on your left panel. You will see 2 Wi-Fi channels status appeared on the
screen. This setting can be configured for guest and home users.

Disable the WiFi 2.4GHz/5GHz
Step 1
To disable the WiFi, go to “Wireless Settings” section and choose either “WiFi 2.4GHz” or
“WiFi 5GHz”.
Click on the “Disable” button to de-activate the selected WiFi.
Step2
The DX825 modem will take about 10 seconds for processing. Then, proceed to click the
“Apply” button.

Click “Status” tab at your left panel. You will see the selected WiFi channel status “ON”
appeared on the screen.

DX825 WiFi Security Settings
Step1
Connect your DX825 modem to your notebook through the Ethernet cable. Open an internet
browser and enter this URL: http://10.1.1.254. Then key in USERNAME: admin and
PASSWORD: admin123 as shown in the above (or below) diagram.
Step2
Once entered DX825 main dashboard page, click on the WiFi tab to enter the modem WiFi
status section.

Next, click the WiFi Settings tab to enter the WiFi Settings/Configuration page.
Step4
Under “Wireless Settings” section of WiFi 2.4GHz, type in your preferred SSID at the
“Network Name (SSID)” field.

Next, go to “Security Types Setup” section, choose your preferred Authentication mode (WPA2-
Personal or WPA/WPA2-Personal Mixed Mode) under the “Authentication” tab. Then key in your
preferred WiFi password (minimum 8 characters) in the “Key Pass Phrase” field.
Click “Apply” button to save the new settings for the new security configuration to be effective.
Note: The default WiFi Authentication mode for DX825 modem is configured at “WPA2-Personal”. The steps to
configure new security setting for 5GHz WiFi are the same as described above.
