Use of the Appliance
Before plugging in your refrigerator for the first
time, remove all packaging and the plastic screw
cover fitted on the machine before the handle
assembly. Clean the refrigerator with lukewarm
water and bicarbonate soda. Wipe it dry with a soft
cloth.
Instructions for Installation
1. Do not tilt the refrigerator more than 450from
the upright position during transit. Do not apply
force on any part such as the condenser and the
door to prevent the refrigerator from deforming
as this may affect its performance.
2. Ensure there is enough space around the
refrigerator for it to function properly.
3. Don’t install it in an area with high temperature
or humidity so as to avoid being damaged,
dampened or rusted.
Cautions for Safety
1. Before the refrigerator is plugged in, check the
electric voltage to be used is the same as the
rated voltage. The power plug should have an
independent socket as the adaptor may cause the
socket to overheat.
2.Don’t store inflammable materials such as either,
benzine, LP gas and glue etc in the refrigerator.
3. Don’t splash water on the refrigerator, it may
cause a malfunction or electric shock.

6
4. When gas leaks from its container, don’t pull the
plug out or in. It may arouse sparks and fire
calamities.
Instructions for Use
1.When operating the refrigerator for the first time,
run it without loading any food until it reaches
the desired temperature. Usually it takes 2 or 3
hours, then set the thermostatic dial at the
setting desired and put your food in the
refrigerator.
2. The temperature of the refrigerator can be
adjusted by turning the thermostatic dial. A
medium setting of the thermostatic dial is the
most suitable for general operation.
3. Defrost the refrigerator whenever the layer of
frost on the surface of the evaporator reaches
3 or 4 mm. When defrosting, remove all food
and the ice cube tray and set the thermostat to
the “OFF” position. Put the drip tray under the
evaporator to collect any melted water. After the
frost has melted, discard the water and dry up
the interior of the refrigerator. The
refrigerator can then be restarted by turning its
thermostat to the desired setting.

7
Cautions for Use
1. The more food that is put in or the longer the
door is opened, the more energy is
consumed, which can lead tomalfunction.
2. It is better not to place the objects which are too
heavy, sharp or corroded on the lid of the
refrigerator.
3. After turning the power off, be sure to wait at
least 10 minutes before switching it on again.
4.Open the door as least often as possible during a
power-cut.
5.When defrosting, never use any sharp or
metallic objects to remove the frost on the
surface of the evaporator as it will damage the
evaporator.
6.Don’t touch foods and containers in the freezing
compartment with wet hands to prevent an ice
burn.
Maintenance
1.While cleaning the refrigerator, pull out the
electric power plug, wipe carefully with a piece
of dry cloth. Abrasive cleaning powder,
alkali

8
cleansers, chemical cloths, thinners, alcohol,
acid petroleum products and hot water are not
suitable for cleaning the refrigerator as they may
damage the painted cover and plastics.
2. The door seal may get dirty quite easily, so
clean itfrequently.
3. If the refrigerator is out of use for a long time,
pull out the plug, clean and dry the fridge
compartment and then close the door tightly.

takes some time for the temperature of the two
compartments to become cold. If the
environmental temperature is higher, it takes a
long time for the compartments to become cold.
4.The surface of the compressor becomes hot:
The surface of the compressor may become hot
under normal operation. Don’t touch it with
