1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing a product from Pan Acoustics.
With the purchase of this accessory for Pan Acoustics loudspeaker systems, you have acquired a
product for the safe mounting of P / PB xx loudspeakers on displays.
Please read this assembly manual carefully prior to use in order to guarantee fault-free operation.
This symbol provides important instructions for the proper handling of the
product. Failure to observe this instruction may result in damage to the
product or malfunctions.
1.1. Symbols and explanation
This symbol indicates a hazard with a high level of risk. If this hazard is not
avoided, serious injury or death may result.

not avoided, moderate to serious injury or death may result.

All information in this assembly manual is based on the product properties available at the time of
preparation and the safety regulations applicable at that time.
This assembly manual describes the design, function and assembly of the “VESA VSM Loudspeaker
Mount” and the “VESA VSM XL Loudspeaker Mount”. It is aimed at system technicians and persons
assigned the task of installing and operating a relevant system.
Pan Acoustics reserves the right to make changes and modi cations within the scope of legal regu-
lations and product improvements without prior notice.
This assembly manual and all additional information required for operation must be read prior to
use by all persons involved in commissioning. The assembly manual and all additional information
required must be kept within reach near the device.

1.2. General information and target group
2. Product description
The “VESA VSM Loudspeaker Mount” and the “VESA VSM XL Loudspeaker Mount” permit to mount
two P / PB xx loudspeakers from the Pan Beam, Pan Speaker, Pan EVAC, Pan 2-Line and Pan AMT
product series on displays. The mount is designed to hold loudspeakers with a maximum weight of
8 kg.
The mount has slotted holes that permit the exact horizontal and vertical positioning of the loud-
speakers to be mounted.
The mount is mounted on the display by means of screw connections together with the correspond-
ing VESA monitor mount (not included in the scope of delivery). For the necessary screw connections
between the display, VSM / VSM XL loudspeaker mount and VESA monitor mount, the assembly kit
includes various screws.
The mount is designed for indoor use.

2.3. Scope of delivery VSM / VSM XL, assembly kit
The loudspeakers to be mounted are not included in the scope of delivery. These must be purchased
separately.
Upon receipt, the mount must be carefully checked for transport damage and completeness. In
case of damage, the forwarder and sender are to be noti ed without delay.
Safety may be compromised if the product:
• shows signs of visible damage.
• has not been delivered completely.
• has been stored under adverse conditions for a prolonged period of time.
• has been improperly shipped (e.g. unsuitable packaging).
If the product shows signs of impairments that no longer guarantee safe operation, the article is to
be secured and marked accordingly. It must also be ensured that no intended or inadvertent use by
third parties is possible.
NOTICE
The screws included in the assembly kit marked with * must be used to mount the VESA monitor
mount with the VESA VSM / VSM XL loudspeaker mount on the display. If these screws cannot be
used due to their length and shape, they must be replaced by suitable screws by the person assem-
bling the system.

3. Safety instructions
The following safety instructions must be read completely and carefully prior to installing the mount
and kept in a safe place near the device afterwards. Reading the assembly manual does not replace
the knowledge and observance of all valid local safety rules and regulations. Persons entrusted with
the assembly must be properly trained and work with appropriate personal protective equipment.
Furthermore, the entrusted persons are responsible for and must ensure the safe assembly and use
of the accessories to be mounted (mount and loudspeakers).
• Power and signal cables must never be used for suspending, anchoring or securing loudspeakers.
• In order to guarantee safe operation of the products, only use the mount for installing the
products for which it is intended.
• When attaching the mount to another mount or device, the latter must be checked for its
load-bearing capacity, stability and type. The VESA monitor mount to be used must be selected
by the person assembling the system to carry the additional load resulting from the VSM / VSM
XL loudspeaker mount including the loudspeakers in accordance with the applicable safety regu-
lations.
• Only the original parts delivered by Pan Acoustics may be used for mounting and assembling
the VSM / VSM XL loudspeaker mount. The use of other parts, in particular parts from unknown
or third-party manufacturers, is prohibited.
• It has to be ensured that all attachment and fastening materials comply with the applicable
safety guidelines and are suffi ciently dimensioned.
• It has to be ensured that all connections are secured against self-loosening and are friction-
locking and form- tting.
• Users must comply with all applicable safety requirements and legal regulations.
• The loudspeaker accessory must not be used for lifting, lowering or securing people or other
objects.
• It is recommended to use an additional securing element to secure each suspended loudspeak-
er against falling if the type of mounting and safety require it.
• In general, a visual inspection of the loudspeaker and the accessory must be performed prior
to each use/assembly. If there are signs of wear, cracks or deformation, they must be replaced
immediately. The visual inspection also includes checking the screw connections on load-bearing
parts of the loudspeaker and the accessory.

4.2. Use instructions
Incorrectly selected fastening material and incorrectly made screw connections can cause the loud-
speakers and display to fall or be damaged.
CAUTION
Prior to assembly, the VESA mounting points on the display on which the VSM / VSM XL loudspeaker
mount and the VESA monitor mount are to be mounted must be checked. The VSM / VSM XL loud-
speaker mount must lay  at on the display. Mounting should preferably be done with the display
laying on its front. The front of the display must be protected from damage using suitable material.
The installation and commissioning of loudspeakers must only be carried out by quali ed personnel.
It has to be ensured that the mount chosen meets the required speci cations and operational
requirements.
National safety regulations for operation and assembly must be followed.
CONNECTION OF THE LOUDSPEAKER AND MOUNT
• All mounts sourced via Pan Acoustics are delivered with suitable assembly material for connec-
tion to the loudspeaker.
• The connection between the loudspeaker and the mount is made by  xing points (e.g. a slot nut,
which is inserted into the rear slot of the loudspeaker and tightened with two M6 set screws).
• To avoid damage to the mounts and the loudspeakers, no screws longer than the original ones
must be used. Longer screws may destroy the stability of the loudspeaker or cause short circuits
inside the loudspeaker.
• A tightening torque of 14 Nm must be observed for the screw connection between the mount
and the loudspeaker.
Connection cables must not be used for  xing or suspending loudspeakers.

Position the four components (A) on the
back of the display as shown in the lower
picture. The holes in the components permit
exact (horizontal) positioning according
to the respective VESA hole pattern. The
components (A) must be ush with the sides
of the display.

4.4. Assembly steps
Alternative assembly of component (A)
Component (A) can alternatively be mount-
ed as shown. This variant is preferred for the
VSM XL loudspeaker mount in order to better
adapt the loudspeakers to be mounted to the
depth of the display. In this case, the spacers
(I) under component (A) must be positioned
centred over the VESA mounting points. I

Step 2:
Positioning of the two lateral components (B).
The holes permit exact (vertical) positioning
according to the respective VESA hole
pattern.
Step 3:
After selection of the required VESA hole
pattern, connect the components (A) + (B)
by means of screw connections consisting of a
screw (C) + a washer (D) + a nut (E). Four
screw connections must be made.
These screw connections can be used to adjust
the depth of the mounted loudspeakers by a
few millimetres by slightly loosening the nut.

Step 4:
The loudspeakers must be prepared as shown
in the picture:
Insert 2 x slot nuts (G)
Stick on cellular rubber band (J)
Fit the cellular rubber band on the side of the
loudspeaker facing the display to close the
resulting gap.

Step 5:
The loudspeakers must be mounted on the VSM
/ VSM XL bracket V (B) as shown in the picture.
First position the slot nuts and  x them with the
set screws (H) in the two middle holes so that
the screws (F) can be screwed into the slot nut
through the bracket (B).

Subsequent vertical and/or horizontal ad-
justment of the loudspeaker position is pos-
sible by slightly loosening the screws. The
loudspeaker must be secured against slip-
ping by suitable measures, e.g. by holding it.

Step 6:
Prior to mounting the VESA monitor mount, 4
spacers (I) must be positioned centred over
the VESA mounting points of the display.
For mounting the desired VESA monitor mount,
the assembly kit includes screws in various
sizes and lengths.

All screw connections must be checked for secure  t and friction locking. The individual components must be
checked to ensure that they are form  tting, and screw connections must be re-tightened where appropriate.

The loudspeaker accessory may show signs of wear over time, e.g. due to mechanical stress, corrosion
or improper handling. In case of xed installation, the mount must therefore be checked for signs of
wear and secure t at regular intervals.
During the checks, particular attention has to be paid to deformations, cracks, notches, damage to
threads and corrosion. Mounting and fastening materials such as screws must also be thoroughly
checked for wear and deformation.
If the check reveals uncertainties or damaged parts, the loudspeaker/the mount may no longer
be used. Operators/users must inform themselves about nationally applicable, comprehensive test
regulations and also apply them.
The product has to be transported carefully to prevent any damage that could impair its function.
The product is designed for indoor applications. Permanent storage in liquids, e.g. water, has to be
avoided.
