VHF/UHF Antenna
A VHF/UHF rod antenna is supplied.
• Push the stem of the VHF/UHF antenna into
the antenna hole on the cabinet back, as
shown.
•Extend the antenna and adjust until the picture
is clear.

Optional Equipment Connections
A second VCR, video disc player and video game
equipment can also be connected to the antenna
input connection. (See your equipment manual for
more information).
VIDEO Button
Press the VIDEO button to display the Picture
Adjustment Menu. Press the VIDEO button again to
exit the menus.
CH Buttons
Press the CH UP and CH DOWN buttons to select
the desired Picture Adjustment option.
• COLOR - adjusts color intensity.
•TINT- adjusts natural flesh tones.
• BRIGHTNESS -adjusts dark areas of the
picture.
• PICTURE - adjusts white areas of the picture.
•SHARPNESS - adjusts outline detail for clarity.
•PICTURE NORM - resets television to factory
preset levels.
VOL Buttons
Press the VOL UP and VOL DOWN buttons to
adiust the Picture Adjustment options.
SET-UP Button
Press the SET-UP button to display the Set-Up
Menu. Press the SET-UP button again to exit the
menus.
CH Buttons
Press the CH UP and CH DOWN buttons to select
the desired Set-Up options.
• AUTO PROGRAM - automatically caplures all
available channels and stores them in the
Channel Scan Memory,
• MANUAL PROGRAM - manually select and
delete channels in the Channel Scan Memory.
• ANTENNA - select antenna (TV) or cable
mode.
• LANGUAGE - select English or Spanish for the
on screen Menu Language.
Note: The on screen Menu Language has been
factory set to English,
VOL Buttons

Power Sources
The CT-9R20 model television operates on 120 Volt,
60Hz AC and 12 Volt negative-ground car battery
systems through the cigarette lighter socket. Two
power cords (AC Power Cord and Car Battery Cord)
are supplied.
House Current Operation
Insert the AC power cord (supplied) into the socket
on the rear of the television and connect the plug to
a wall outlet (120 Volt, 60Hz). The plug is polarized
for safety. If you are unable to insert the plug fully
into the outlet, try reversing the plug. It the plug
should still fail to fir, contact your electrician. Do not
defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK DO
NOT USE THIS (POLARIZED) PLUG WITH A
RECEPTACLE OR OTHER OUTLET UNLESS THE
BLADES CAN BE FULLY INSERTED TO PREVENT
BLADE EXPOSURE.
Car Battery Operation
Prior to Use:
Before connecting the car battery cord (supplied),
check the polarity of your car battery. The car cord
supplied is designed for use with a negative
grounded battery. If your car has a positive ground,
consult your Panasonic dealer. If you have any
questions concerning the ca_ polarity or battery'
voltage, consult your car dealer.

Connection and Use:
Remove the cigarette lighter from your car and insert
the car battery cord plug in its place. Insert the car
cord into the socket on the rear of the television. To
turn television ON, press the POWER button.
Notes
• While the car is meving, it may be difficult to
obtain good reception due to signal variations.
•It is recommended to operate with the engine
idling under the following conditions:
a. Very low outside temperatures likely to
cause difficult engine starts.
b. Viewing the television for more than just a
few hours. (For personat safety when in a
vehicle with engine idling, always, keep a
window slightly open to prevent being
overcome from possibte engine fume leaks).
• Do not operate the set when starting the engine
to avoid overloading the engine.
• When finished viewing, press the POWER button
to turn OFF and disconnect power cord from
cigarette lighter. Failure to do so may discharge
your car battery.

Fuse Replacement
If the car cord does not seem to function normally,
check if the fuse in the plug is blown. If the fuse is
blown, replace it with the spare fuse supplied.
Procedure
1. Turn the television OFF and unplug car cord from
cigarette lighter socket.
2, Loosen and remove the cap,
3. Pull our the fuse.
4. Install the spare fuse supplied,
5. Replace the cap.
6. Plug the car cord into the cigarette lighter socket
and turn the television ON.
Notes
•When the fuse is blown, replace it with the same
type, 7A-f25V. Never use an ordinary piece of
wire.
•Always keep the cigarette lighter socket of the car
clean. If the socket is dirty with cigarette ash, the
resulting bad contact may overheat the car cord
plug.
