The Panasonic ZT60 Series TV features many updates to the panel to enhance picture
quality.
To ensure the best picture quality, the panel structure incorporates multiple
technologies to improve response time, brightness, motion clarity, and black levels.

The ZT60
Studio Master Panel
The ZT60 is called "Beyond the reference level of picture quality‖.
The Studio Master Panel used on this TV produces ultimate black color, contrast and crisp
image edges.
The outer front glass is applied directly to the plasma panel, thus eliminating any gaps which
cause picture interference like double images or internal reflections.
This panel is comprised of the Infinite Black Pro Panel with the Ultra Filter –combining to
make the ―Ultra‖ panel.
The ultra filter (Louvered filter) is not actually part of the panel but an overlay of sorts that
enhances depth perception and also black levels by absorbing in-room light and not allowing it
to escape.

Studio Master Panel
The Studio Master Panel featured in our top-of-the-line ZT60 Series Plasma TVs
offers reference-level optical performance with superb bright-field contrast and
sharp, crisp images. By eliminating the conventional air layer between the panel and
the front glass, the Studio Master Panel minimizes reflections from external light,
and improves panel light transmission, for the ultimate in big screen picture quality.

enhanced phosphors and original Panasonic technologies specifically engineered for motion
image performance. With sub-field control optimizing light emissions at a rate of 1/3,000th of a
second, you're assured of dynamic sports images and breathtaking fast action scenes
rendered with stunning clarity.

By increasing the number of sub-fields, we're able to control the light emission of each
individual cell in 30,720 steps, resulting in smooth, highly nuanced color gradation. From jet
black to brilliant white, the system produces rich, dimensional images with seamless color
variation.
When using Cinema mode.
A dramatic improvement in the color purity of the
red phosphor has further expanded the color range.
It now covers 98% of DCI studio standards and
122% of ITU standards. It ensures full reproduction
of vivid colors from all types of image sources.

Improvements of the VT60 over the VT50
The VT includes numerous picture and feature advances over the 50 series.
One of the improvements is a shorter peak firing time for 2013 models.
In 2012 models it was 1/2500th of a second (Panasonic called it 2500 Focus Field Drive).
In 2013 it’s a 3000 Focus Field Drive or 1/3000th of a second per pulse.
This creates better motion sharpness and permits more gradations of black to white.
The VT60 is spec’d at 30,720 steps, up from last year’s VT50′s 24,576.
The VT60 panel includes a new red phosphor for deeper (less orange) reds.
VT60’s image had better contrast , brighter whites, and deeper blacks.
There is a DCI color mode for a wider color gamut.

Built-in Camera (VT60 Only)
The VT60 has a built-in camera that allows the use of applications like face recognition and
voice message. It can also be used as a communication tool.
The recorded video/audio is stored in the TV’s memory.
Note: Under certain circumstances, audio/video recording may be prohibited by law.
This TV should be used only in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local
statutes

New for 2013 is a Color Management app for Andriod and iOS devices. The app features a CIE
color diagram and provides the ability to change the color points of the primary (red, blue and
green) and secondary (cyan, magenta and yellow) colors, gamma and other picture criteria.
This app could be used for image calibration.
NEW
Voice interaction is used for searching by speech for content. For example you can say Ahna
O’Reilly movies and the list will pop-up. There is a touchpad remote control as well as a
standard unit included. In addition to apps, movie and music content via Amazon, Netflix and
other sources, the VT60 has a web browser and a text to audio function, that will read to you
printed text.
