Ultra-compact player for CDs and MP3 files on a USB flash drive
The new Parasound Zcd is an ultra-compact CD player with far more features than most full
sized players. The Zcd plays MP3s from a CD-R or a USB flash drive. Its analog volume control
enables you to combine the Zcd with our Zamp v.3 power amplifier for a truly high end compact
stereo system without the need for a separate preamp.
The Zcd includes a composite video output to view and select MP3 files. For installation
flexibility there are simultaneous fixed and variable level analog outputs as well as coax and
optical digital outputs. A 3.5mm analog line input jack makes it easy to integrate any portable
MP3 player or smartphone into your system even without a preamp.
The Zcd has a 12 volt trigger input which allows a preamp to turn the Zcd on and off
automatically. A 12 volt trigger output can trigger a power amp on. Full operation is possible
by the included remote control or 1-way RS-232 or rear panel IR input.
The combination of unique features and compact size makes the Zcd perfect for a wide variety
of applications. Like all the products in our Z custom line-up, the front panel is half a standard
rack width and can lock together with another Z custom product for use in a standard rack.
From high end desk top systems to custom AV solutions the Zcd can do it all.
