AirLink Replacement Battery
PS-2566
Introduction
PASCO model PS-2566 is a replacement battery for the
PASPORT AirLink SI.
To replace the battery, you will need to open your AirLink and
connect the new battery to the circuit board. If you would prefer
to send your AirLink back to PASCO to have the battery
replaced, contact PASCO by phone or email (see Technical Sup-
port on page 3).
What You Will Need
To replace the battery, you will need the following items.
• AirLink Replacement Battery (PASCO model PS-2566)
• AirLink SI (PASCO model PS-2005)
• T5 Torx driver
Replacing the Battery
Important: Before proceeding, take precautions to avoid static discharge,
which may damage the AirLink. Touch something metal and grounded
before handling the AirLink circuit board.
Opening the AirLink
1. Using a T5 Torx driver, remove the two screws from the bot-
tom half of the AirLink enclosure.
2. Firmly pull apart the halves of the enclosure. As you open
the AirLink, the circuit board will separate from the top half
of the enclosure.

Removing the Old Battery
3. Disconnect the battery plug by pulling it directly away from
the circuit board.
4. Replace the circuit board in the bottom half of the enclosure
and set both parts aside.
5. Using a T5 Torx driver, remove the two screws securing the
battery cover.
6. Remove the battery cover.
7. Remove the old battery.
Installing the New Battery
8. Place the new battery in the battery compartment as illus-
trated.
Important: Do not over tighten the screws. Tighten them only enough to
hold the battery cover in place.
9. Replace the battery cover. Be sure to align the notches with
the posts as illustrated.
10. Secure the battery cover with two screws.
11. Observe the correct orientation of the battery plug and wires
illustrated below.
Important: Do not connect the battery backwards. The battery may be
damaged if it is connected incorrectly.
12. Connect the battery plug to the circuit board as illustrated.

Reassembling the AirLink
13. Place the bottom half of the AirLink (containing the circuit
board) flat on a tabletop.
14. Align the halves of the AirLink and press firmly to snap
them together.
Important: Do not over tighten the screws. Tighten them only enough to
seat them in place.
15. Replace the two screws in the enclosure.
Charging the New Battery
16. Set the switch on the AirLink to Off.
17. Connect the AC adapter (included with the AirLink) to the
DC Power input of the AirLink.
18. Connect the AC adapter to a wall socket.
A green LED in the AirLink blinks as the battery charges. When
the battery is fully charged (after about four hours), the LED
glows steadily.
