The music compression technology MP3 (MPEG 1 Au io Layer 3) re uces
the igital ata of an au io CD significantly while maintaining CD-like soun
quality.With MP3 you can recor up to 3 hours of CD-like music on one
8 cm CD-ROM.
How to get music files
Either ownloa legal music files from the internet to your computer har isc
or create them from your own au io CDs. For this, insert an au io CD into
your computer´s CD-ROM rive an convert the music using an appropriate
enco er software.To achieve a goo soun quality, a bit rate of 128 kbps or
higher is recommen e for MP3 music files.
How to organize music files
In or er to easily han le the large number of music files on a CD-ROM,
you can organize them in fol ers (“albums”).
The tracks of an album will be playe in alphabetical or er. If you want
to arrange them in a certain or er, let the file names start with numbers.
For example:
001-ONEWORLD.MP3
002-FIRESTARTER.MP3
003-DEEP.MP3
Albums will be arrange in alphabetical or er, but subfol ers (albums within
another album) will be playe imme iately after the album in which they are
locate . Albums without MP3 files will be skippe .
If there are MP3 files which you i not put into an album, you will fin them
in the album Various with album number 0.Various is the first album that
will be playe .
When playing a isc with CD Au io tracks an MP3 files, the CD Au io tracks
will be playe first.
