With this speaker, you can enjoy audio from the
compatible Bluetooth device or other audio
devices.

Overview of the main unit

• Switch the speaker between standby
mode and working mode.

• Adjust volume.
• Adjust time.

• In automatic standby mode:press for 2
seconds to wake up your speaker.
• In standby mode: press for over 2
seconds to start time set.
• Press repeatly to select different levels
of display brightness when the AC
power cord is plugged in.
• Press for 8 seconds to erase all pairing
information.

3 Get started
Caution
•Use of controls, adjustments, or performance of

Connect power
This Bluetooth speaker can be powered by
either AC power or batteries.
Battery power
Warning
•Risk of explosion! Keep batteries away from heat,
sunshineorre.Neverdiscardbatteriesinre.
•Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
Replaceonlywiththesameorequivalenttype.
•The battery contains chemical substances, so it should
be disposed of properly.
•Keep children away from the battery.
1 Open the battery compartment.
2 Insert AA batteries with correct polarity
(+/-) as indicated.
3 Close the battery compartment.
AC power
Caution
•Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power
supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on
the back of the speaker.
Connect the AC power adaptor to:
• the power supply socket on the back of
the speaker.
• the wall power outlet.

Turn on
• Slide on the speaker to the right.
» TheBluetoothindicatorashes(blue).
Switch to standby mode
The speaker switches to standby mode
automatically in the following situations.
• In Bluetooth mode: no audio signal from
your Bluetooth device over 15 minutes.
• In MP3 link mode: no audio signal
detected over 15 minutes.
• The battery level is low.
Note
•The Bluetooth connection will be terminated when the
speaker enters standby mode, you can wake up the
speaker by holding for 2 seconds.
You can also switch your speaker to standby
mode manual by sliding to the left.
4 Play
Play from a Bluetooth device
You can listen to a Buetooth device through this
speaker.
Note
•The effective operation range between the speaker
and your Bluetooth device is approximately 10 meters
(30 feet).
1 Slide to the right to turn on Bluetooth
function of the speaker.
» TheBluetoothindicatorashes.
2 Activate the Bluetooth function in your
Bluetooth device (see the device user
manual).
3 Select "PHILIPS SBT310" on your device
for pairing.
» The speaker gives out 2 beeps and the
Bluetooth indicator stays steadily on.
• For elder devices, you need to input
"0000" as pairing password.
4 Start music play on your Bluetooth device .

Play from a PC
You can also listen to audio through Bluetooth
in PC.
Note
•Make sure that you have installed Bluetooth driver in
your PC before pairing.
•The steps below are only for windows 7 operating
system. If you use other OS/IOS , refer to other OS/
IOS help.
1 Slide to the right to turn on Bluetooth
function of the speaker.
» TheBluetoothindicatorashes.
2 Activate the Bluetooth function in your PC.
3 Add a Bluetooth device in your PC and
select "PHILIPS SBT310" for pairing.
» The speaker gives out 2 beeps and the
Bluetooth indicator steadily on.
4 Set "PHILIPS SBT310" as default
communication device in your PC.
1). Right click the speaker icon ( ) in
the lower right corner of the Windows
home screen and select "Playback Devices"
from the option menu
2). Right click desired speaker and select
"Set as Default communnication Device".
5 Start music play on your PC .

Play from an external device
You can also listen to an external audio device
through this speaker.
Note
•Your speaker can play under MP3-LINK audio only
when the Bluetooth paused or stopped.
1 Connect the MP3-LINK cable to:
• the MP3-LINK jack (3.5mm) on the
back of the speaker.
• the headphone jack on an external
device.
2 Start to play on the device.
Control play
During play,
• press VOL +/- to increase or decrease the
volume level.
Adjust brightness
Note
•You can adjust display brightness only when the AC
power cord is plugged in.
Press repeatedly to select different levels of
display brightness.

Set time
Note
•You can set time only when the speaker is in standby
mode.
1 Slide the left.
2 Hold on the speaker for more than two seconds.
» [12] begins to blink.
3 Press toconrm.
» The hour digits begin to blink.
4 Press / to set hour.
5 Repeat steps 3-4 to set minute.
There is a spot on the lower right corner of the screen.
• The spot lights off when the time set
before 12:00 at noon.
• The spot lights on when the time set after
12:00 at noon.

No power
•Make sure that the AC power plug of the
speaker is connected properly.
•Make sure that there is power at the AC
outlet.
•Make sure that the batteries are inserted
correctly.
No sound
•Adjust the volume.
No response from the speaker
•Restart the speaker.
