PART NAME Have repairs of electronic appliances carried out only by authorized
specialist dealers or by the customer service. Improper repairs can

Only operate the appliance at household-usual power sockets. Check
if the mains voltage stated on the type plate is up to that of your
power supply network.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by its service agent
or similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8
years.
Do not leave children unattended to ensure they do not play with the
appliance.
Do not use the appliance in outdoor.
Protect your appliance from humidity (splash water /rain).
Let the appliance cool of before cleaning or stowing away.
This appliance should not be operated due to an external timer or
separate remote control system.
Use the electric kettle only with the provided contact base.
Do not immerse appliance or base in water and do not clean under
running water.
Basic safety instructions
The appliance is intended to be used in household only and using in:
–Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
– In farm houses
– By clients in hotel, motels and other residential type environments.
– On bed and breakfast type environments

Operation
Plug the power plug into the wall socket.
Remove the electric kettle from the contact base.
Open the lid of the removable kettle by pressing the button to open
the lid.
NOTE: For your safety, the lid is equipped with a locked device. If the
electric kettle is accidentally overturned during use, the lid will not
open. This reduces the risk of being scalded by spilled water.
Fill the electric kettle with water.
Closed the lid manually.
MAKE SURE not to fill water past the maximum marking on the water
level indicator.
Place the electric kettle anywhere on the contact base. The unit is
now ready for operation.
To switch it on, press the ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the handle.
The switch locks into place the and the control lamp goes out.
You can interrupt the boiling process at any time by pushing up the
ON/OFF switch.
To pour the water, lift the electric kettle from the contact base.
IMPORTANT: Always make sure that the device is switched off
before removing the electric kettle from the contact base.
Overheating protection device
The electric kettle is equipped with a double-action overheating
protection device. In the event that you accidentally operate the
electric kettle without water or if the water level is too low, causing the
water to evaporate during boiling, the device will automatically switch
off from your safety. The device will be ready to operate once it has
been filled with cold water.
Cleaning
CAUTION: The appliance must not be immersed in water! Do not
clean the electric kettle with heavily abrasive cleaners. They could
scratch the appliance.
Clean very dirty appliances either with lukewarm water or with a
stainless steel cleaner.
If a stainless steel cleaner is used, make sure that it is not aggressive
and does not contain chlorine or acids.
Regularly remove the scale filter from its mounting on the inside of the
water kettle and clean it with a soft brush and some washing-up
liquid. Then fit it back in the mounting.

Preparation for use
Remove all packaging elements and labels, but not the rating label.
Place the electric kettle on a dry, even, non-slip surface.
Before initial use
Please read these operating instructions carefully before using the
device for the first time.
Shake out the water from the first boiling process.
Do not fill the electric kettle with water past the MAX marking. Scalding
may result from water boiling over.
Please also note the MIN marking (minimum quantity to be filled) on
the water level indicator.
Always remove the electric kettle from the contact base before filling
with water.
This electric kettle may only be used for heating water.
Before operating the machine, make sure that the contact base is dry.
Please make sure the water is never spilled on the contact base.
If water is accidentally spilled onto the contact base, proceed as follows:
– Unplug the unit from the wall socket.
– Dry the contact base with an absorbent dry kitchen towel.
– Dry the surface beneath the contact base.
– Plug the unit into the wall socket again.

Customer service
In the event that your appliance becomes defective, please contact
your customer service department. The electrical appliances comply
with current EC guidelines and safety regulations.
Conditions of warranty
It grants you, the private end user, a limited manufacturer’s warranty.
Assuming careful handling and compliance with the operating instruc-
tions and safety notices, we will be obligated to replace the appliances
at no cost, insofar as there are defects in material or workmanship. The
repair will be effected by repairing or replacing defective components.
Any parts replaced will become the property. All further claims of any
type, especially claims for indemnifications, are not valid. This warranty
does not affect any rights of the customer with respect to the sales of
goods in accordance with the applicable national laws.
The warranty period is 1 year starting from the date on which the
product was first purchased by an end consumer. The warranty
period will not be extended or begin a new or in any other way be
affected by the subsequent sale, repair or replacement of the product.
This warranty is passed on to you by your retail dealer. In order to
assert a warranty claim, please contact your dealer directly.
As proof of warranty entitlement you must submit the original sales
receipt with the date of sale and the dealer’s address. Without the
sales receipt, the repair will be carried out at your expense without
asking.
The warranty does not cover damages resulting from

Care:
Use a special stainless steel care product for minor cleaning (water
stains, light fingerprints, etc ).

Decalcifying
If you have hard water, the electric kettle should be decalcified regu-
larly (depending on the hardness of the water, about every 2-3 week).
Use a commercially available liquid decalcifying product (do not use
chemical decalcifiers ) and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Tip: Mild calcium deposits can also be removed with a mixture of 5 to
6 tablespoons of vinegar in 0.5L of water.
Please observe the following when decalcifying the machine.
First, pour cold water into the electric kettle (if the decalcifier foams
excessively, use only 0.5L of water.)
Briefly bring it to a boil.
Now, add the decalcifier and let the device stand for a while.
CAUTION: Do not bright this mixture to a boil.
After decalcifying, rinse the pot twice with clear water.
Do not clean the electric kettle with heavily abrasive cleaners. They
could scratch the appliance.
Note: Regularly decalcifying your electric kettle with reduce the
electricity used and prolong the life of the appliance. The calcium
content of water varies from region to region. Please consult your
local water works or utility works for information on water hardness.
In the event of malfunctions due to calcium deposits, the guarantee
will be voided!
Environmentally friendly disposal
We use only environmentally friendly packaging for the transport of
our appliances. Please recycle cardboard/paper and plastic packaging
appropriately.
Electrical appliances contain valuable raw materials. When an appliance
is worn-out, please take it to a recognized recycling facility. Please
consult the local authorities for information on recycling appliances.
CAUTION!
Electrical appliances should not be
disposed of with the house hold trash.
