Overview
The Platypus Controller is a powerful, flexible controller that can be configured in a variety of
ways to control a pump(s) and watering systems. It can communicate with the user via SMS or
manually from the on board touch screen. The Platypus Controller can be set to operate using
the controllers intuitive program interface.
The Platypus Sprinkler Controller operates by monitoring the ambient air temperature.
When the measured ambient air temperature is equal to, or greater than the trigger
temperature which has been set by the user, the Platypus Sprinkler Controller will become
active.
Becoming active means,

•An SMS (if the phone option is installed) message will be sent to the selected mobile
telephone
•nce the alarm ceases all installed devices will be activated.
• All installed devices will remain active for the run time period, as set by the user
•After the runtime period has elapsed all installed devices will be de-activated for the
pause period, as set by the user
At the end of the pause period the ambient temperature will be measured and compared to the
preset trigger temperature minus five degrees.
If the measured ambient air temperature is equal to, or greater than the trigger temperature
which has been set by the user, the Platypus Sprinkler Controller will again become active.
