PINNACLE™ SERIES
INSTRUCTION MANUAL (EN)
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing a Peodagar mepiece. The
Poedagar Pinnacle™ is a quartz watch and requires an LR626
1.5V alkaline baery in order to funcon. The baery
generates a small electrical charge which is applied to the
quartz crystal, causing the crystal to oscillate at a precise and
constant frequency of 32,768 mes per second. The signal
generated by these oscillaons is used to drive the second-
hand and causes it to ck once every second. The second
hand is geared to turn the minute-hand and the hour-hand.
Before using your watch, please familiarise yourself with the
following instrucons.

SETTING THE TIME AND DATE
The Pinnacle™ features an hour-hand, a minute-hand, a
second-hand and a date calendar. The minute-hand, hour-
hand and date are adjusted by using the crown. The following
sequence is the recommended method for adjusng the me
and ensuring your watch funcons correctly, displays the
me accurately and that the gears suer no excessive wear.
1. Wait for the second-hand to reach the 12 o’clock
posion.
2. When the second-hand reaches the 12 o’clock
posion, gently pull the crown out to the rst click.
3. Turn the crown an-clockwise (towards you) to adjust
the date. Stop once the date displayed is the day
before the intended date.
4. Pull the crown out to the second click.
5. Rotate the crown clockwise to adjust both the hour-
hand and the minute-hand. Rotate the crown
clockwise unl the hour hand passes the 12 o’clock
mark and causes the date to change to the intended
date. The me shown at this point is the AM of the
intended day.
6. Connue to rotate the crown clockwise unl the
hour-hand is poinng to the intended hour,
remembering that it will need to pass the 12 o’clock
mark again before the me displayed refers to the
PM.
7. Once the hour-hand is poinng towards the intended
hour, connue to rotate the crown clockwise unl the
minute-hand is poinng to the minute aer intended
minute.

8. Wait unl the actual me reaches 59 seconds past
the intended minute and gently push the crown back
in fully as the me reaches 60 seconds past the
intended minute.
9. The me should now be set precisely to the second,
minute, hour and date.
Turning the crown in the opposite direcon to the direcon
recommended above for the dierent crown pin posions
can cause the gears to suer unnecessary wear but can be
done slowly and by a small amount (to correct a slight
maladjustment for example) without having a signicant
eect.
We do not recommend changing the me when the watch is
operang between the displayed mes of 9pm and 3am.
Doing so regularly may cause unnecessary wear to the
mechanism.
CALENDAR MECHANISM
Because of the way movements are made, it is almost
impossible for the day and date on a quartz watch to change
at exactly 12am.
When the date changes, a small prong engages the date
wheel and pushes it forward, causing it to rotate and display
the next date. This happens over the course of a few hours.
In order for the watch movement to be able to change the
date displayed, more power is required than the amount
used to make the hands move. The watch movement has to
first accumulate the amount of power required for a small
motor to rotate the date wheel. In order to accumulate

sufficient power, the mechanism responsible for the date
change is engaged during the hours preceding and following
midnight.
The day and date may not be displayed correctly for several
hours while the mechanism is engaging. This is normal and is
not a fault.
Due to the workings of the mechanism described above,
changing the date on your watch between the displayed
hours of 9pm and 3pm is not recommended and doing so
could damage the movement of the watch.
ADJUSTING THE BRACELET LENGTH
The Pinnacle™ is supplied with a stainless-steel bracelet, the
length of which can be adjusted by removing or adding
bracelet links. Only links with two pins can be removed. The
watch is supplied with all removable links aached to the

remove the bracelet links. Please follow the instrucons
provided with the pin removal tool or take the watch to a
watchmaker or watch repair shop to remove the links.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
The Pinnacle™ features a snap-back case cover. A watch case
back removal tool (not supplied) is required to access the
baery. Please follow the instrucons provided with the
watch case back removal tool or take your watch to a
