Use:
The ergonomic workplaces are intended for production plants, assembly workshops, laboratories,
test rooms, repair shops, training workshops and similar plants. They are suitable for light to
medium-heavy work. Always observe the laws, regulations, directives and standards in force in the
country of use. The products are designed for use in indoor areas with an ambient temperature of
5 °C – 40 °C. Protect the products against the effects of water or other liquids. Do not use them in
humid environments. Do not expose them to heat sources; otherwise, they may heat up
excessively. Repair and replace the components in conformity with the procedures indicated in the
virtual consultancy of POLAK SMART FURNITURE www.smfu.eu. Components can only be repaired
and replaced by a professional company or person conforming to legal regulations for independent
work on electrical equipment.
Workbenches:
Before starting to use the workbenches, it is necessary to set them in the horizontal position. If there is a risk of impact
due to the character and course of work with their subsequent toppling, the workbenches must be anchored. For
anchoring methods and other specific information, see the online virtual consultancy of POLAK SMART FURNITURE
www.smfu.eu. Always transport the workbenches empty, by carrying or by means of handling equipment. It is forbidden
to sit or step on the workbenches, or lift/lower persons and other loads by means of them. Workbench columns must
not be exposed to tensile forces. Do not exceed the maximum permissible load of the workbenches or their parts.
When changing the working height, the operator must provide a safe space in the movement direction to prevent
damage, deformation, pinching or injury to persons. The workbenches are designed for use in the interior with a dry
environment , stable temperature and adequate humidity. Products provided with the MULTIPLEX worktop must be
located in an environment with relative air humidity of 55% with a tolerance of +/- 5% (during manufacture of a glued
worktop, wood is dried to 8-10% humidity, which corresponds to a relative air humidity of 55%). Its operation outside
the specified air humidity range causes deformation with subsequent loss of the guarantee. Do not use the product in
direct contact with water or in humid environments. Do not carry out production work which may directly damage its
surface or structure, unless the workbench is specifically intended for these purposes.
ERGO workbenches adjustable in steps
They are designed as a cheaper variant of height-adjustable workbenches; to change the working height, they must
always be partly dismantled. When changing the workbench working height, always follow the instructions indicated in
the manual in the virtual consultancy of POLAK SMART FURNITURE www.smfu.eu. Follow the instructions in the manual.
ERGO workbenches adjustable with a crank
They enable smooth adjustment of the worktop height by means of a hand crank. The equipment is not designed for
lifting of heavy loads. The operator always sets the required height before starting their work activity! The procedure
for changing the working height is indicated in the virtual consultancy of POLAK SMART FURNITURE www.smfu.eu.
Follow the instructions in the manual. Only use the product within the specified range, do not try to exceed the dead
points by force.

observe them during movement; after stopping, secure them against movement. Leave mobile frames unattended only
if they cannot start moving spontaneously. If the mobile frame cannot be transported safely on its castors, use handling
equipment. If the mobile frame is transported by means of handling equipment, it must always be empty. Objects of
greater weight should preferably be stored in the lower parts. Do not exceed the permissible loads of mobile frames or
their parts.

Weights of individual products and capacities of loading areas are indicated in the current workshop furniture catalogue,
which can be found at www.polakcz.cz. Do not overload any of the products or use them in other than the intended
way. The total load must not exceed the maximum allowed load of the weakest element of the given product. The
ergonomic workplace products and their parts are not intended for plants with increased content of dust particles in the
air (joinery plants, etc.).

products, the products can be protected by auxiliary accessories, such as a rubber lining. We recommend that you
choose a suitable type of product with regard to its use and operating load in coordination with the manufacturer.
Forced handling may result in, for instance, permanent deformation of metal parts, breaking of a key or malfunction of
extensions.
For instructions for setup, repairs and replacement of parts, see www.smfu.eu
Maintenance:
