12.ANSWERS FOR COMMON PROBLEMS
Q: How much time will it takes to charge the JUMP START?
A: First initial charge is suggested to be 8 hours. After that in a normal
situation, 3-5 hours should charge up completely. The JUMP
START will shut down the charging circuit once it is fully charged
(LCD will lighted up) , so you will never over charge the device.
Q: How to charge the JUMP START device?
A: You can either charge it with AC adapter from the wall outlet. The
adapter is a universal unit from 110 -240V 50/60 Hz. Or you may
have an additional optional 12V car adapter as an accessory.
Q: Car won't start, it seems there is no power provided from
JUMP START.
A: Make sure polarities are aligning correctly. Make sure there is more
than 11.5V battery power indicated on the LCD. Make sure you
press the "JUMP START" button, otherwise, there will be no power
transfer to the car. If JUMP START has been stored under
extreme cold weather conditions, allow it to reach to a warmer
temperature by starting your car for a few times.
Q: Will the unit blow up if I short circuit the RED and BLACK
terminal together?
A: NO absolutely NOT! Unlike other products in the market place,
the JUMP START has a built-in polarity safety circuit to shut itself
down for your extra protection.
Q: My car battery has zero power and JUMP START does not
pass polarity test!
A: If you car battery has absolutely no power (<4V), you need to
override the JUMP START safety polarity check circuit in order to
send power to the car. First, make sure you put the correct polarity
terminal onto to the battery, then hold and press the “JUMP
START" button for 3 second, this will allow the unit to by passing
the polarity test. Wait for another 30 second, then the power will
flow into the car battery and get ready to jump start.
Q: I have tried to boost a vehicle but not successful. The JUMP
START is now disabled with no LED work light or 5V USB
power.
A: In case of this situation, you might have triggered the safety
protection circuit for the DC outputs and this locked out all output
power functions. To unlock and reset the unit; simply charge the
unit with AC plug or DC car charger (if so equipped). The unit
should take charge in a few minutes and return to a normal state.
For any reason if this does restart, please contact factory or your
authorized distributor.
