Two ways to charge the DUAL 1850
The included USB cable can be used to
connect the DUAL 1850 to a computer.
(Fig. 1).
This cable can also be used in
conjunction with a USB wall plug (like
the one that comes with many iPhone
devices) to charge via a wall outlet.
The micro USB input is located on the
bottom of the DUAL 1850.
The DUAL 1850 can also be placed on
any Powermat mat to charge wirelessly.
(Fig. 2).
Four LEDs on the bottom front of the
DUAL 1850 (Fig. 3). will sequence (left to
right and back again) to indicate that the
DUAL 1850 is charging. These LEDs will
also show battery status and level when
the small button directly below the LEDs
is pressed.
The battery is fully charged when all four
LEDs are illuminated.


The power! DUAL 1850 delivers simple, hassle-free charging
providing more than a full charge for most smart phones and
many other devices. The power! DUAL 1850 is designed with
the freedom to charge where you want and when you want in
mind. Simply charge it up and take it with you for power when
you need it. When the DUAL 1850 is drained or just needs to be
topped off simply charge it up via the included USB cable or on
a Powermat charging surface and it’s ready to go.

simply pull on the tip to extend it from
the DUAL 1850 (Fig. 6) and plug it into
the micro USB input of the device you
want to charge (Fig. 7).
The micro USB tip can also be used to
charge your iPhone or iPod touch when
it is a Powermat Receiver Case. Simply
plug the tip into the micro USB connector
located at the bottom of the case.
For the tip’s protection, the tip should be
returned to its position within the DUAL
1850 after charging is complete.
Simultaneous Charging
The DUAL 1850 will charge two devices
at the same time (one through the Apple
connector and a second through the
micro USB connector).
The DUAL 1850 also has the capability
to charge devices while it is charging.
In this case, the DUAL 1850 will charge
attached devices rst and its internal
battery second.
Retractable Apple Connector
Charge your iPhone and iPod devices
with the integrated Apple connector. This
connector is safely concealed within the
DUAL 1850. To expose the connector
simply press the round button on the
back of the DUAL 1850 (Fig. 4).
Once the connector is exposed, plug
the DUAL 1850 into the iPod or iPhone
and press the button below the four LED
indicators on the front (Fig. 5)
After charging is complete, the connector
can be concealed by pressing the button
and pushing the connector back into the
DUAL 1850.

Powermat components are designed to provide a fast, simple
and safe charging solution for today’s most popular devices.
The system is comprised of two types of components: Mats and
Receivers. The mats charge multiple devices at once and are
designed to work and look great in many different environments.
Receivers are necessary to enable your gear to charge wirelessly
on a Powermat. Some products, such as the power! 1850, are
Powermat enabled right out of the box and will work with a
Powermat without any external Receiver. Receivers are available
for many of today’s most popular devices and there are several
styles of receivers. Once your favorite devices are enabled with a
Powermat receiver, wireless charging is as easy as placing them
on a Powermat.

Just plug your Powermat in once and then drop and charge. It’s
simple to use so your devices stay charged and you skip the
constant hassle of plugging and unplugging as well as the angst
of running on empty. Powermat offers a clutter free solution that
eliminates the tangle of wires and helps keep devices organized
in a common location.

Simply place an enabled device on the Powermat surface and
power is wirelessly transferred quickly and efciently. Magnetic
induction, supercharged by Powermat proprietary technology, has
the speed and intelligence consumers expect. Powermat senses
when your device is fully charged and stops sending power so
that it not only saves energy, but also protects the device from
overcharging.

In today’s world we commonly interact with many portable
electronic devices every day. Each of these devices requires power
and we nd ourselves plugging them in all over our homes and
ofces in a constant struggle to keep them all charged. Each device
has its own power supply plugged into its own outlet and many
of them are never unplugged which in and of itself wastes energy.
Furthermore, many of these power supplies do not take advantage
of the most efcient technologies available and therefore take a
long time to fully charge our devices. Finally, they often continue to
deliver power long after our devices are fully charged, wasting even
more energy.

Powermat allows you to wirelessly charge multiple devices
with a single power supply. This not only eliminates the need
to plug in each device individually but more importantly also
eliminates the power that is wasted when multiple adapters are
left plugged into the wall. Powermat’s custom power supply
delivers power at a very high efciency, meeting the ENERGY
STAR standard. Also, Powermat builds intelligence into every
Mat. Each charging location on every Mat monitors the charge
level of every device and stops sending power when that
device is fully charged.
Powermat’s proprietary power supply, integration of high quality
components and intelligent design results in a very efcient
and environmentally conscious way to keep all of your personal
electronic devices charged without wasting energy.

Aligning your Powermat enabled devices for optimal charging is
simple with Powermat.
Feel. When you place a device on a Powermat Mat you will feel
a slight magnetic attraction when the device gets close to a
Power Access Point. The pull will guide the device into perfect
position for optimal charging.
Hear. The Powermat activation sound will be played when
a device is properly positioned and charging begins. The
deactivation sound will be played when the device is removed
from the Power Access Point.
See. Each Power Access Point has a corresponding light
indicator that will illuminate when a device is properly positioned
and charging begins. The light will turn off when the device is fully
charged or removed from the Power Access Point.
When a Powermat enabled device is properly positioned on
a Powermat Mat, an automatic “handshake” process will
take place during which the Powermat Mat will recognize the
Powermat Receiver and activate the Powermat Access Point.
(NOTE: Non-enabled devices will not cause activation.) This
process ensures that the proper power is given to your device.
Also, this communication allows the Mat to stop delivering
power when the device is fully charged. This energy efcient
process is unique to every access point on the Mat, meaning
that the Mat will address the charging needs of each device
independently. The Mat will also stop charging each device as
soon as that device is fully charged while continuing to charge
all remaining devices.
Note: The light may come on and go off after approximately
fteen (15) seconds if the mat conrms that a device is fully
charged.

How many times can I charge my device?
This will vary depending on the size of battery in your device. The
DUAL 1850 has an 1850 mAh battery which is large enough to
give a full charge to most smartphones and one or more charges
to many other devices.
Which devices can be charged with the DUAL 1850?
The DUAL 1850 can charge all Apple iPod and iPhone devices
that use the 30 pin connector. It will also charge hundreds of
devices that use a micro USB connector for power input. For a
complete list of these devices please visit our website.
Can I use both power connectors at the same time?
Yes. The Dual 1850 can charge two devices at the same time.
One iPod or iPhone device can be charged with the Apple
connector and a second device can be charged with the micro
USB tip.
Can I use the included USB cable and an Apple USB wall
plug adaptor to charge the DUAL 1850?
Yes. The DUAL 1850 can be charged with the included USB
cable plugged into the USB input on the bottom of the DUAL
1850 and then into an Apple USB wall plug adaptor.
How do I know the DUAL 1850’s battery level?
The four LEDs on the front of the DUAL 1850 will light up when
the button directly below them is pressed. The number of LEDs
corresponds to the level of battery charge available. Four LEDs
represent a full DUAL 1850 battery.

How does Powermat work?
Powermat utilizes principles of magnetic induction combined
with Powermat proprietary patent-pending technology to safely
and effectively provide power to electronic devices. Powermat
technology can transform surfaces including walls, tables,
oors and desktops into safe, simple, and efcient conductors
of energy. It replaces the need to access multiple electrical
sockets for real-time powering and charging of electronic
devices.
Is Powermat safe?
Yes. Powermat technology is completely safe and is well within
compliance of all relevant international safety regulations.
What happens if I put my hand or any non-enabled device
on the Powermat Mat?
Nothing. The system is passive until the Powermat Mat makes
contact with a Powermat Receiver.

Can I use my original charger (with a cord) after my device
is Powermat enabled?
Yes. The Powermat Receiver simply allows you to drop and
charge on a Powermat Mat. It does not prohibit the use of other
chargers.
Can I use Powermat anywhere I travel?
Yes. Powermat was developed to promote convenience among
business travelers, families, students, ofce workers and
anyone who utilizes multiple electronic devices. Also, Powermat
power supplies are universal and work from 100-240VAC.
How long will it take to charge my devices?
Devices will typically charge at the same rate or in some cases
even faster than when utilizing the charger that came with the
device.
Which handheld devices can be charged from the
Powermat Mat?
Any portable electronic device that has been enabled with a
product-specic Powermat Receiver can be charged using the
Powermat Mat. As new Powermat Receivers become available,
we will post the information to our website (www.powermat.
com). Please feel free to check our website for updated
information as frequently as you wish.
Does utilization of Powermat adversely affect the battery
life of a device being charged?
No. Powermat simply provides an alternate method of power
distribution for electronic devices that have been Powermat
enabled. The Powermat system has no impact on battery life or
performance.

not charging on my

Conrm that you have followed the
set-up instructions and that the
Powermat Mat is properly plugged into
an electrical outlet and the DC plug is
inserted into the mat.
Verify that your DUAL 1850 is properly
positioned on the Powermat Mat and
that the indicator light is lit, indicating
that a connection has been made
between the Mat and your DUAL
1850.
Please note that this may also indicate
that the device has been fully charged
and no further charging is needed.

Re-align the center of the DUAL 1850

emitting a steady glow, the connection
is incomplete. Keep adjusting the
position of your DUAL 1850 until you
see a steady light. When the light emits
a steady glow, proper positioning has
been achieved and charging will begin.
No magnetic lock
between my device
and my Powermat
Magnetic lock is achieved when the
DUAL 1850 and Power Access Point
are properly aligned. Re-align the
DUAL 1850 with the Power Access
Point on your Powermat Mat until a
magnetic lock is achieved.

Dos formas de cargar la unidad
DUAL 1850
El cable USB que se suministra se puede
utilizar para conectar la unidad DUAL 2850 a
una computadora (Fig. 1).
Este cable también se puede utilizar junto con
un enchufe de pared USB (similar al que traen
muchos dispositivos iPhone) para cargarla por
medio de un tomacorrientes. La entrada micro

La unidad DUAL 1850 también puede

El extremo micro USB también puede
utilizarse para cargar su iPhone o iPod
touch cuando está en una carcasa receptora
Powermat. Simplemente enchufe el extremo
en el conector micro USB que se encuentra en

Los componentes de Powermat están diseñados para proporcionar una
