GENERAL REMARKS
a) Before the first start of the motor, read this instruction manual carefully to familiarize yourself with
all its features and functions, safety requirements, and ways to operate and maintain it.
b) Prior to each sail out you should carry out a daily inspection.
c) Never run the motor in closed rooms. Exhaust fumes contain poisonous carbon monoxide that could
lead to loss of consciousness and even death.
d) Never use the boat while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
e) Test your boat on low and medium speeds until you learn to handle it carefully and understand its
behaviour in different situations. Never sail with maximum speeds, if you do not know exactly the
behaviour of the boat on water.
f) Be sure that all passengers aboard wear life jackets.
g) When loading the boat, make sure that the weight is distributed evenly.
h) Comply with inspection dates.
i) Do not make any alterations or modifications to the motor or its components. This could result in
motor damage and an accident.
j) Get familiar with and follow the shipping regulations in force in the waters on which you plan to sail.
k) Make sure that you have adequate safety and signalling equipment such as life jackets for each
passenger, flares, fire extinguisher, anchor, paddle, bilge pump, rope, first aid kit, tool kit, emergency
start line, fuel supply, oil, etc.
I) Instruct all passengers on the rules of conduct in case of emergency. Make sure that they know the
rules of use of the boat.
m) Make sure they know how to use safety equipment and how to act in case of problems.
n) When boarding or disembarking the boat, do not stand on the cover of the motor or other parts of
it.
o) Before starting the sail out check out the weather forecast.
p) Take special care when replacing any parts of the motor or selecting and installing additional
equipment. The use of non-original or poor quality parts can cause damage to the motor and lead to
danger. The use of non-original parts will result in an immediate loss of warranty.
