INTRODUCCIÓN
Las tecnológicas características, diseño y funciones de esta unidad junto con un estricto cumplimiento
de los mas altos estándares de calidad le proporcionará plena satisfacción por largo tiempo.
INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
•Lea estas instrucciones de seguridad cuidadosamente antes de usar la unidad.
•Al desempacar la unidad, asegúrese que se encuentre completa y que no hayan daños en la
misma, ya sea por defectos de fabrica o por el transporte.
•Cuando deseche el embalaje de la unidad, hágalo teniendo en cuenta las normas de reciclaje del
área.
•El voltaje principal debe coincidir con el voltaje nominal listado en la etiqueta ubicada en la base de
la unidad.
•Use solo agua fría.
•No permita que el cable de energía toque la superficie caliente de la unidad.
•Cuando desee hacer café inmediatamente después de haber usado la unidad, apague la unidad y
déjela enfriar por 5 minutos. Luego llénela de nuevo con agua fría.
•El café en el recipiente se mantendrá caliente mientras la unidad este encendida.
•Desconecte la unidad siempre antes de limpiarla.
•Mantenga la unidad alejada de los niños.
•Para apagar la unidad, hágalo con el interruptor de potencia. La luz piloto se apagara, indicando que
la unidad ya no esta encendida.
•Si el cable de energía se encuentra dañado, evite repararlo usted mismo. Remita toda reparación a
personal técnico calificado.
•Esta unidad no ha sido diseñada para ser usada por personas (Incluyendo niños) con capacidades
físicas, mentales y sensoriales reducidas ó con falta de experiencia, a menos que sean
supervisadas por un adulto responsable de su seguridad.
•Los niños deben ser supervisados para evitar que jueguen con la unidad.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA UNIDAD
USO LA PRIMERA VEZ
•Antes de usar la unidad por primera vez, póngala a funcionar solo con agua limpia (Sin café ó filtro).
•Conecte la cafetera en el tomacorriente, retire la tapa y llene el recipiente de vidrio con agua, Use
solo agua fría. Vierta el agua del recipiente en el deposito de agua y coloque el recipiente en la
placa calefactora (Con la tapa puesta). Inicie la operación colocando el interruptor de potencia en la
posición de encendido.
PREPARAR CAFÉ
•Levante la tapa del deposito y llénelo con agua fría.
•El indicador del nivel de agua mostrará el numero de tazas (1 Taza= 100ml)
•Coloque el filtro permanente en el portafiltro y llénelo con café. Coloque 6 ó 7 gramos de café por
taza.
•Para usar la unidad, coloque el recipiente con la tapa puesta en la placa calefactora y posicione el
portafiltro. Cierre la tapa de la unidad.
•La luz piloto se encenderá, indicando que la unidad esta funcionando.
•Una vez el café esta hecho, este se mantendrá caliente el tiempo que la unidad este encendida.
•El mecanismo anti goteo evita que el filtro gotee después que el recipiente es retirado ó el portafiltro
es inclinado.

LIMPIEZA
•Desconecte la unidad antes de realizar la limpieza.
•Limpie con un paño húmedo y con un poco de detergente suave.
•No sumerja la unidad en agua o en cualquier otro liquido.
•No la coloque debajo del grifo de agua.
•El recipiente puede ser limpiado con un poco de agua tibia, detergente y un paño suave.
•No coloque la unidad en el lavavajillas.
DESCALCIFICAR
•Para asegurar que la unidad continúe funcionando adecuadamente, deberá descalcificar
ocasionalmente los residuos de mineral dejados por el agua usando un producto descalificador
especialmente formulado para este tipo de unidades.
•La frecuencia con la que debe realizar este procedimiento, depende de la dureza del agua y de que
tan frecuente es usada la unidad.
•Si usa la unidad una o dos veces por día, siga los pasos dados a continuación:
!Agua suave: Cada 6 meses
!Agua mediana-dura: Cada 2 ó 3 meses
!Agua dura: Cada 6 ó 8 semanas

Safety tips and precautions
-Please read this instruction carefully before using the appliance.
-Unpack the appliance completely and check that it is full working order, since and factory defect or
possible damage caused by transportation.
-
When using the coffee maker for the first time
Before making coffee for the first time, run the coffee maker once with water only (without coffee or
filter).
Plug the coffee maker into the power outlet. Remove the lid from the glass coffee pot and fill it with
water. Use only cold water. Pour the water from the carafe into the reservoir and put the carafe (with the
lid on) back on the warm-plate. Start the coffee making process by turning on the power switch.
To make coffee
Lift the reservoir lid and fill the reservoir with cold water from the tap, depending on the number of cups
of coffee you with to prepare. The water level indicator shows the number of cups (1cup=100ml).
Place the permanent filter in the brew basket and fill it with ground coffee. Put in 6 or 7 grams of ground
coffee per cup. To use the carafe, put it (with the lid on) on the warm-plate and position the brew basket.
Close the lid of the appliance. The pilot light will turn on, indicating that the coffee maker is on. Once the
coffee is made, the coffee in the carafe will be kept warm as long as the coffee maker is on. The non-
drip mechanism prevents the filter from dripping after the carafe is removed or the brew basket is tilted.
Cleaning
Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth moistened with a few
drops of detergent.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
Do not place it under the tap.
The carafe may be cleaned with warm water, a washing liquid and soft brush. Do not place in the
dishwasher!
De-scaling
To ensure your coffee maker continues to make perfect coffee, you should occasionally de-scale the
mineral residue left by water using a de-scaling product specifically formulated for coffee maker. The
frequency of this operation will depend on the hardness of the water in your area and on how often you
use your coffee maker.
If you use it once or twice a day, use the following as a guide:
Soft water: every 6 months.
Mid-hard water: every 2 or 3 months.
Very hard water: every 6 or 8 weeks.
Attention!
-The mains voltage must match the rated voltage listed on the label on the base of the coffee maker.
- Use only cold water.
-Do not allow the power cord to touch the warm-plate.
-When making coffee again right away, turn the coffee maker off and let it cool down for 5 minutes.
Then fill it again with cold water.

-The coffee in the carafe will be kept warm while the coffee maker is on.
-Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning it.
-Keep the coffee maker out of the reach of children, as they are unaware of the hazards inherent in
electrical appliances.
-To turn the coffee maker off, use the power switch. The pilot lamp will turn off, indicating that the
coffee maker is no longer in use.
-Your coffee maker can use either the permanent filter with which it is equipped.
Anomalies and repairs
If the power connection is damaged, do not attempt to replace it.
Take the appliance to an authoritative Technical Service agent since operation could be hazardous. The
same applies for any other anomaly.
