SW5E AVB Switch with PoE
Congratulations on choosing a PreSonus SW5E. You now
own a rugged 5-port AVB switch for use with all AVB-equipped
products including the PreSonus StudioLive Series III mixers
and more. For complete AVB networking instructions for your
PreSonus and 3rd-party AVB products, please review their
respective manuals.

1Link / Activity Status. These LEDs display link and network
activity for their associated AVB network port as follows:
• Off. No connection is detected on the associated port.
• On Solid. A cable is connected to the associated port.
• Rapid Flashing. Network activity is active on the
associated port.
• Slow flashing. The connection is not capable of audio trans-
mission due to a faulty cable or device connection that is under
100BASE-T.
2PoE Status. These LEDS will illuminate solid if power is
being drawn from the associated port using PoE (Power
over Ethernet).
3AVB Link Port. This Ethercon connection accepts either RJ45
or locking Ethercon connections. This port does not provide
PoE and should be used to link to another network switch.
4AVB Ports. These Ethercon connections accept either RJ45 or
locking Ethercon connections and can be used to connect any
standardized AVB equipment. Each of these ports provide PoE
using the IEEE 802.3at-2009 (Type 1) standard and will provide
power to any device that accepts this standard for power.
5Power Switch / PoE Toggle. The power switch indicates power
for the SW5E as well as whether PoE is enabled or not. By
default, PoE is enabled. To toggle it on / off, press and hold the
power button for 3 seconds.
• On / Solid Blue. PoE is enabled on AVB ports 2-5 and the
SW5E is powered on.
• On / Solid White. PoE is disabled on AVB ports 2-5 and the
SW5E is powered on.
• Off. The SW5E is not powered on.
1Estado de actividad/enlace. Estos LEDs muestran el estado de
enlace ya actividad de red para su puerto de red AVB asociado
de la siguiente manera:

2Estado de Poe. Estos LEDs se iluminarán de manera estable si
hay un consumo de energía en el puerto asociado usando PoE
(Power over Ethernet).
3Puerto de enlace AVB. Estas conexiones Ethercon aceptan
tanto conectores RJ45 como conectores Ethercon con seguro.
Este puerto no provee PoE y debe ser usado para encadenar
otro switch.
4Puertos AVB. Estas conexiones Etercon aceptan tanto
conectores RJ45 como conectores Ethercon con seguro
y pueden ser usados para conectar cualquier equipo AVB
estandarizado. Cada uno de estos puertos provee PoE
usando el estándar IEEE 802.3at-2009 (Type 1) y proveerán
alimentación a cualquier dispositivo que acepta este estándar.
5Interruptor de alimentación/selección de PoE. El interruptor
de alimentación indica el estado de alimentación, así como
si PoE está habilitado o no. Por defecto, PoE está habilitado.
Para encenderlo y apagarlo, oprime y sostén el interruptor de
alimentación durante 3 segundos.
• Encendido/azul estable. PoE está habilitado en los puertos
AVB 2 a 5 y el SW5e está encendido.-
• Encendido/blanco estable. PoE está deshabilitado en los
puertos AVB 2 a 5 y el SW5e está encendido.
• Apagado. El SW5e no está encendido.

1Link / Activity Status. Diese LEDs zeigen an, ob der jeweilige
AVB-Netzwerk-Port belegt ist und ob Daten übertragen
werden:
• Aus: Der Port ist nicht belegt.
• Leuchtet dauerhaft. Am Port ist ein Kabel eingesteckt.
• Blinkt schnell. Über den Port werden Daten übertragen.
• Blinkt langsam. Eine Audioübertragung ist aufgrund eines
defekten Kabels oder einer Geräteverbindung über 100Base-T
nicht möglich.
2PoE-Status. Diese LEDs leuchten dauerhaft, wenn
ein Gerät über den Port mit Spannung versorgt wird
(PoE - Power over Ethernet).
3AVB Link Port. Diese Ethercon-Buchse erlaubt den Anschluss
von herkömmlichen RJ45- sowie von verriegelbaren Ethercon-
Kabeln. Dieser Port bietet keine PoE-Funktion und ist für den
Uplink mit einem anderen Netzwerk-Switch vorgesehen.
4AVB-Ports. Diese Ethercon-Buchsen können mit
herkömmlichen RJ45- oder verriegelbaren Ethercon-Kabeln
mit AVB-kompatiblen Geräten verbunden werden. Jeder dieser
Ports bietet PoE-Spannungsversorgung nach IEEE 802.3at-
2009 (Typ 1) und kann alle mit diesem Standard kompatiblen
Geräte speisen.
5Power / PoE-Taste. Die Power-Taste zeigt an, ob der SW5E
eingeschaltet und ob PoE aktiviert ist. In der Voreinstellung ist
PoE aktiv. Um PoE ein-/auszuschalten, halten Sie die Power-
Taste 3 Sekunden lang gedrückt.
• An / leuchtet blau. An den Ports 2–5 ist PoE aktiviert und
der SW5E ist eingeschaltet.
• An / leuchtet weiß. An den Ports 2–5 ist PoE deaktiviert und
der SW5E ist eingeschaltet.
• Aus: Der SW5E ist ausgeschaltet.

• Clignotement lent. La connexion ne permet pas la transmis-
sion audio pour cause de câble défectueux ou de connexion en
100BASE-T avec l’appareil.
2État de l’alimentation PoE. Ces LED s’allument fixement si
l’alimentation est tirée du port associé grâce à la technologie
PoE (Power over Ethernet).
3Port de liaison AVB. Cette connexion Ethercon accepte le
branchement d’une fiche RJ45 ou Ethercon à verrouillage. Ce
port ne fournit pas d’alimentation PoE et doit être utilisé pour
raccorder un autre commutateur réseau.
4Ports AVB. Ces connexions Ethercon acceptent le
branchement d’une fiche RJ45 ou Ethercon à verrouillage et
peuvent être utilisées pour raccorder tout équipement AVB
standard. Chacun de ces ports fournit une alimentation PoE
selon la norme IEEE 802.3at-2009 (Type 1) à tout appareil qui
accepte cette norme d’alimentation.
5Interrupteur d’alimentation / commutateur PoE.
L’interrupteur d’alimentation indique l’alimentation du SW5E
ainsi que l’activation ou non de l’alimentation PoE. Par défaut,
l’alimentation PoE est activée. Pour l’activer/la désactiver,
appuyez sur l’interrupteur d’alimentation et maintenez-le
enfoncé pendant 3 secondes.
• Allumé/Bleu fixe. L’alimentation PoE est activée sur les
ports AVB 2-5 et le SW5E est sous tension.
• Allumé/Blanc fixe. L’alimentation PoE est désactivée sur les
ports AVB 2-5 et le SW5E est sous tension.
• Éteint. Le SW5E n’est pas sous tension.
