Underthefacia panel(Dooropen)
•You canset theinternaltemperaturebyturning thethermostat knobunderthecontrol
panelfacia.totherequired setting 1-5.
•The recommended normalsettingis3.
•Fastfreezecan beturned onbyturning theknobpastsetting5untilaclick isheard.
NOTE: Theambientroomtemperatureshouldbebetween16°Cand 32°Cforcorrect
operation.
FreezerThermostatSetting;
•Setting0turnsthefreezeroff, butdoesnotdisconnectitfromthemains,todothis
youmustremovetheplugfromthe walloutlet.
•Tocontrolthe internaltemperature,adjustthethermostatcontrolknob toposition3
thethermostatcontrolispositionedunderthe faciapanelon theleftside(dooropen).
•The temperaturecontrolknobhas 6settings 0,1,2,3,4and5Where1isthewarmest
and4isthe coldestsetting,5isthefastfreezesetting.
•Adjustthe temperaturecontroltothe settingmarked 3tomaintain–18°C.
NOTE:
•Ifthefreezerisunplugged,powerlost, orturnedoff,youmustwait 10minutes before
restartingtheunit.
•Ifyou attempttorestartbeforethistimedelay,thefreezermaynotstart.
Notethat; thetemperatureofthefreezer compartmentand howfast freshfoodfreezes
isdependantonroomambienttemperaturehowmuch freshfoodisbeingfrozenand
howoftenthedoorisopened.Ifrequired,setthethermostattoahighersetting.

ORANGELAMP: Whenthe“FastFreezing”setting isselected (thermostatdialisin5po-
sition),the orange lampwillturnon.
GREEN LAMP: Whenthe appliance isconnectedtothe powersupply,thegreen lampon
the display panelwillturnonautomatically.
REDLAMP: Whenthe freezercompartmentisnotcoldenough,the redlampwillturnon.
Setthethermostatdialto5position(“FastFreeze”)untilthe red lampisoff. After the
red lampgoesoutyou mustreturntotheprevious setting.Iffrozenfootthaws,you
mustconsumeitimmediatelyorcook the foodand refreeze it.
NOTE:
Thered lampwillalsoturnonwhentheFastFreezefunctionisselectedand
will remainon untilthe internaltemperaturefallstoaround-18°C,thisisnormal
andisnotafault.
Turningthe applianceon
Oncetheappliancehas been connectedtothepowersupplymakesurethattheRED
lampison.Then turnthefreezerthermostatdialtoposition5“FAST FREEZING”wait
until the redlampisoff(Notethat;foroptimalinternaltemperaturethe freezerthermostat
shouldbe positionedbetween2and4once fastfreezinghasfinished.)
•Whenthefreezerisfirstswitchedon,leaveitfor2- 4hoursbeforeloadingitwith
fresh food.
•Ifthe unitisswitchedofforunplugged, you mustallowat least5minutes before
restartingorre-plugged the unitinordernottodamagethecompressor.

Storefrozenfood
•Whenusingthe freezerforthefirsttimeorafterdefrosting,turnthe thermostattem-
peraturecontroltosetting5for(FastFreeze)foratleasttwohoursbeforeintroduc-
ingthefoodtobestored,Thenadjustthe thermostattoyourpreferredsettingonce
theredlightgoesout.
•Allfrozen foodproductsyoupurchaseshouldbe placedinthefreezerassoonas
possibletoavoidthefrozenfood fromdefrosting.
•Storage recommendationsprinted onthepackagingoffrozen food bythe manufac-
tures shouldalways befollowed.
Freezing freshfood
Ensurethatyourfreezingoperationsarecarriedoutunderthe mosthygieniccondi-
tions,asfreezing alonedoesnotsterilisethefood.Neverputhotorevenwarmfoodstuffs
intothefreezer.Priortostoring thefood,packitinplasticbags,aluminiumfoilorfreezer
containersandplace intothefreezerwithoutputtingthemincontactwithfoodthathas
alreadybeenfrozen.See thetechnicaldatasheetatthe rearofthisbookletforthemaxi-
mumpermissibleamountinkilogramsoffresh foodthatcanbe frozen inany24 hour
periodwitharoomtemperatureof25°CNeverfreeze morethanthemaximumpermis-
sible.
Makingicecubes
•Pourwaterintotheice cubetray until itistwothirdsfulland placeintothe freezerice
traycompartment(4)locatedrightatthetop ofthe freezercavity.(Seepart 7)
•Icecubes willforminapproximately2to3hours.Theicecubecanbe easilyre-
movedbytwistingtheicecubetrayorrunningundercoldwaterforashort time.

Cleaning andmaintenance
•Beforeanycleaning ormaintenanceiscarriedoutyou mustdisconnecttheappli-
ancefromthemains supplybyremoving the plug,neverremovetheplugbypulling
onthe mains cord.Removethe plugbypulling on theplugitself.
•Itisrecommended thatwhencleaningtheappliance,boththeinside and outside,
can be cleaned usingwarmwaterand alittlebicarbonateofsoda.Use 1teaspoon
to1.2litresofwater.
•Ifthe applianceisnottobeusedforalongperiodoftime
then it isrecommended toremoveallthe foodstuff,clean
theinsideoftheappliance andleavethedooropentoallow
the airtocirculatethusavoidingunpleasantodours.
•Cleanthe accessoriesseparatelywithsoapand water.
Donotcleantheminadishwasher.
•Donotuseabrasiveproducts,detergentsorsoaps. After
washing,rinse withcleanwaterand drycarefully.When
thecleaning operations have beencompletedreconnect
theplug oftheunitwithdryhands.
•You shouldcleanthecondenser(backoftheappliance)
withabrushones ayearinordertoprovideenergysav-
ingandmaintainperformance.
THEPOWERSUPPLYMUST BE DISCONNECTED.
DefrostingtheFreezercompartment
Freezerdefrostprocess
•Smallamountsoffrostwillaccumulateinsidethefreezerdependinguponthelength
oftimeduring whichthedoorisleftopenortheamountofmoistureintroduced.Itis
essentialtoensurethatnofrostorice isallowed toformatplaces whereitwill affect
theclose fittingofthe doorseal.Thismightallowairtopenetratethecabinet,thus
encouraging continuousrunning ofthecompressor.Thinfrostformation isquite
soft and canberemovedwithabrushorplasticscraper.Donotusemetalorsharp
scrapers,mechanicaldevicesorothermeanstoacceleratethedefrostingprocess.
Removeall dislodgedfrostfromthe cabinetfloor.Forthe removalofthinfrostit is
notnecessarytoswitch off theappliance.

•Forthe removalofheavyicedepositsdisconnecttheappliancefromthemains sup-
plyandemptythecontentsintocardboardboxesand wrapinthick blanketsorlay-
ersofpapertokeep themcold.Defrosting willbemosteffectiveifcarriedoutwhen
thefreezerisnearlyempty,and it shouldbe carried outas quicklyaspossibleto
preventundue increaseintemperatureofthecontents.
•Donotusemetalorsharpscrapers,mechanicaldevices orothermeans toacceler-
atethedefrosting process.Anincrease intemperatureoffrozenfood packagesdur-
ingdefrosting willshorten thestorage life.Provided thatthe contentsarewellwrapped
andplaced inacoolarea theyshouldkeepforseveralhours.
•Drythe insideofthecompartmentwithaspongeoracleancloth.
•Toacceleratethe defrostingprocess placeoneormorebasinsofwarmwaterinthe
freezercompartment.
•Examinethecontentswhenreplacingtheminthe freezerand ifsomeofthepack-
ages havethawedoutit shouldbe eatenwithin24hoursorbe cooked andre-frozen.
•Afterdefrostinghasfinishedcleantheinsidewithasolutionofwarmwaterwitha
littlebicarbonateofsodaandthendrythoroughly.Washallremovablepartsinthe
samewayandreassemble.Reconnecttheappliancetothemainssupplyandleave
for2to3hoursonsettingnumber 5beforeintroducingthefoodbackintothe freezer.
