INSTALLATION
Here is the installation diagram.
NON PULL-OUT UNIT
Precautions
1. Choose the mounting location where the unit will
not interfere with the normal driving functions of
the driver.
2. Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject
to high temperature, such as from direct sunlight,
or from hot air, from the heater, or where it would
be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration.
3. For safe installation, use the mounting hardware
provided by the manufacturer.
REMOVE THE UNIT FROM THE DASH BOARD
1. Remove the detachable control panel.
2. Insert the supplied keys into the slot as shown, and slide the unit out of the dash board while
holding the trim plate.
3. Remove the metal strap attached to the back of the unit.
4. Remove the keys from the slot.
5. Disconnect all the wires of the unit and the antenna plug.

USING THE DETACHABLE FRONT PANEL
To Detach the Front Panel
1. Press the release button (REL), then the right-hand side of the panel will be ejected.
2. Remove the front panel by pulling its right-hand side outward.
3. For safekeeping, store the front panel in the supplied protective case immediately after being
removed.

To Reinstall the Front Panel
1. Push the front panel into the main body. A ‘click’ sound should be heard.
2. Note that if the front panel fails to lock in position properly, pushing the release button may
not release the panel, and the other control buttons may not function.
Precautions when Handling
1. Do not drop the front panel.
2. Do not put pressure on the display or control buttons when detaching or reinstalling the
front panel.
3. Do not touch the contacts on the front panel or on the main unit body. It may result in poor
electrical contact.
4. If any dirt or foreign substances adhered on the contacts, they can be removed with a clean
and dry cloth.
5. Do not expose the front panel to high temperatures or direct sunlight in anywhere.
6. Keep away any volatile agents (e.g. benzene, thinner, or insecticides) from touching the
surface of the front panel.
7. Do not attempt to disassemble the front panel.

OPERATION
1. POWER SWITCH
Press the button to turn on the unit, press again to turn it off.
2. EJECT BUTTON
•For auto-stop unit: Push halfway to run the cassette tape fast forward and fully down to
eject the cassette tape.
•For auto-reverse unit: Push down to eject the cassette tape.
3. CASSETTE COMPARTMENT
Insert a tape into the cassette compartment, the unit will automatically switch from radio to
tape operation.

4. FAST FORWARD/REWIND/PROGRAM BUTTON
(FOR AUTO-REVERSE UNIT ONLY)
•Fast Forward/Rewind: Press the button with the double arrows pointing the same direction
as the direction indicating in the LED to fast forward. Press the other button in the
opposite direction to rewind.
•Program: Push down both buttons together to play the other side of the tape.
5. RELEASE BUTTON
Press the button to put down the detachable panel.
6. BALANCE CONTROL (FOR STEREO VERSION)
Rotate the knob to adjust sound balance between left and right channels.
6. TREBLE CONTROL (FOR MONO VERSION)
Rotate the knob to adjust the high frequency sound level.
7. TUNING KNOB
Rotate the tuning knob clockwise or anticlockwise to select the desired broadcasting station.
8. BAND SELECTOR (FOR LCD READOUT VERSION OR LED READOUT AND
POINTER TWO BAND VERSION)
Press to switch the reception band mode in the following order:
Two Band: Three Band:
8. AM/FM BAND SELECTOR
(FOR POINTER OR LED READOUT THREE BAND VERSION)
Press the button to select for AM band or FM band reception.
9. MW/LW BAND SELECTOR
(FOR POINTER OR LED READOUT THREE BAND VERSION)
Press the button to select for MW band or LW band reception.
9. LO/DX SELECTOR
(FOR POINTER, LED READOUT TWO BAND OR LCD READOUT VERSION)
Push it down to select local reception or distance reception.
Local controls is no effect at AM (MW/LW) band, even though “LOC”appears on display.
9. F/C SELECTOR (FOR CLOCK VERSION ONLY)
In radio mode, press it to recall time display the current time will be shown on the frequency
display. Press it again to recover station frequency readout.
Set the clock:
•Press the REL button (5) to detach the front panel.
•Holding down the (17) button in the operation.
•Press the POWER button (1) to turn on the unit.
•Press the F/C button (9) to recall time display and hold down it for several seconds, until
the number flashing. Press the “H”button (18) to adjust the hour and the “M”button (19)
to adjust the minutes.
•After the adjustment, undo the (17) button. The work is right.

10. MO/ST SELECTOR (FOR STEREO VERSION)
At FM band, push it to select stereo mode or mono mode. When stereo reception is
changed, the stereo indicator (LED) will be light or LCD display will indicate “”.
10. MUTE SELECTOR (FOR MONO VERSION)
Push it down to mute down sound output level and the mode indicator will be light.
Push it again to resume sound output level.
11. TONE CONTROL (FOR STEREO VERSION)
Rotate the knob clockwise or anticlockwise to adjust the sound quality.
11. BASS CONTROL (FOR MONO VERSION)
Rotate the knob clockwise or anticlockwise to adjust the low frequency sound level.
12. FREQUENCY DISPLAY
•For LED digital readout: The display shows the frequency of the broadcasting station
being received.
•For LCD readout: The display will show the current frequency and state of the unit.
•For analog unit: The dial pointer indicates the frequency of current reception.
13. VOLUME CONTROL
Rotate the knob clockwise or anticlockwise to adjust sound level.
14. CD INPUT JACK (FOR CD INPUT VERSION ONLY)
The unit can be connected to a portable CD player through this jack.
15. FLASHING LED (FOR STEREO VERSION ONLY)
If the front panel do not install in the main unit, the LED will be flashing.
16. RESET
Reset button is placed on the housing and must be activated with either a ball point or thin
metal object. The reset button is to be activated for the following reasons:
•Initial installation of the unit when all wiring is completed.
•All the function buttons do not operate.
•Error symbol on the display.
Note: If press RESET button, the unit can’t work yet, please use a cotton swab soaked in
isopropyl alcohol to clean the back of the front panel.
