Esure the machine is in
sleep mode. The power
indicator light will be amber.
Place the old LAN adapter and LAN cable
into the same shipping package. Seal the
package with packing tape (not provided). Apply
the prepaid label to the package over the old
shipping label.
Remove the new LAN adapter, LAN cable, and
shipping label from the shipping package.
Disconnect the power
cable from the wall
outlet. This will turn o the
iX-1 postage meter.
Disconnect theoldLAN
cable from the LAN
wall outlet or router.
Disconnect the USB
cable on the old LAN
adapter from the iX-1
postage meter.

The LAN adapter and LAN cable provide communication between the iX-1 postage meter and the
online server using a high speed internet or LAN (Local Area Network) connection. The following
steps will guide you through the removal of the LAN adapter and LAN cable and the installation of
the replacement parts.

Testing The New LAN Adapter By Connecting To The Online Server
If you fail to return the old LAN adapter and LAN cable within ten business days, you will be charged
