2. Ver endung
Der Minithermost t wird zur Umgebungstemper turüberw chung eingesetzt. Er sch ltet
ohmsche L sten direkt oder über ein L stschütz ein, bzw. meldet die Über- oder
Untertemper tur (potenzi lfrei) n eine Messw rte.
Der Minithermost t ist in einem Verschr ubungskörper mit M20x1,5 Anschlussgewinde
verb ut und mit hochtemper turbeständigem, kriechstromfestem H rz vergossen. Er k nn
in einer entsprechenden Gewindebohrung oder Durchg ngsbohrung mit Gegenmutter
befestigt werden. Altern tiv k nn der Thermost t mittels einem Mont geblech (nicht
enth lten) befestigt werden. Der Anschluss muss in einem Ex e zugel ssenem
Anschlussgehäuse erfolgen.
Die Kennzeichnung des Minithermost ten ist mittels L ser d uerh ft uf dem
Verschr ubungskörper eingr viert.

6. Hin eise für Einbau und Betrieb
Der Anschluss der Anschlussleitung muss in Anschlussgehäusen erfolgen, die einer
genormten Zündschutz rt n ch DIN EN 60079-0 entsprechen.
Der Anschlussr um muss gemäß DIN EN 60079-0, Abs tz 14.2; 14.4 usgeführt sein.
Bei Ex e Anschlussgehäusen muss mindestens Schutz rt IP 54 gewährleistet sein.
Der Minithermost t entspricht folgenden Bestimmungen und Normen:

DIN EN 60079-0 2007 – 05 Elektrische Betriebsmittel für g sexplosionsgefährdete
Bereiche – Teil 0 Allgemeine Anforderungen
DN EN 60079-18 2005 – 01 Elektrische Betriebsmittel für g sexplosionsgefährdete
Bereiche – Teil 18 Vergussk pselung „m“ einschl. Corrigendum 2006-04
7. Wartung und Instandhaltung
Im R hmen der Inst ndh ltung und W rtung des Betriebsmittels, in d s der
Minithermost t verb ut wird, ist dieser in die Prüfung mit einzubeziehen!
Je n ch Umgebungs- und Betriebsbedingungen ist eine regelmäßige Überprüfung des
ordnungsgemäßen Zust ndes durchzuführen. Beschädigte Minithermost te sind in jedem
F ll uszut uschen.
8. Besondere Bedingungen
Der K belschw nz muss ußerh lb des explosionsgefährdeten Bereiches, oder in einem
Anschlussgehäuse mit geeigneter Zündschutz rt ngeschlossen werden.
Der Stromkreis des Minithermost ten muss mit einem Leistungsschutzsch lter mit
Auslösech r kteristik C uf den Nennstrom von 16A bgesichert werden.
9. Sicherheitshin eise
Der Explosionsschutz beim Minithermost t ist nur im Origin lzust nd gewährleistet.
Umb uten und Veränderungen m Minithermost ten, die den Explosionsschutz
beeinträchtigen, sind nicht gest ttet.
Der Explosionsschutz ist nicht oder nicht mehr gewährleistet wenn:
- der Verguss beschädigt, gerissen oder bgepl tzt ist.
- der Verschr ubungskörper oder dessen Gewinde beschädigt bzw. gerissen ist.
- die Dichtung beschädigt ist.
- die Isolierung der Anschlussleitung beschädigt ist.

2. Application
The Mini-Thermost t is used for mbient temper ture controlling/monitoring. The
thermost t c n h ndle switching c p city of up to 16A directly or gives potenti l-free
sign l for under- or over-temper ture lert to control st tion.
The Mini-Thermost t is fitted in M20x1,5 c ble gl nd nd moulded with high-
temper ture resist nt nd creep ge resist nt epoxy. It c n be tt ched in corresponding
t pped hole or through-hole with counter nut. Altern tively the thermost t c n be tt ched
on fitting p nel (not included). The power c ble must be connected in n Ex e pproved
junction box.
The m rking of the Mini-Thermost t is l ser-engr ved perm nently on the fitting body.

6. Instructions for installation and operation
The connection of the supply c ble must be m de in termin l boxes th t correspond to
st nd rdized type of protection ccording to DIN EN 60079-0.
The connection re must be ccomplished in ccord nce with DIN EN 60079-0,
p r gr ph 14.2, 14.4.
In Ex e termin l boxes protection cl ss of t le st IP 54 must be ensured.
The Mini-Thermost t must be fused with 16A circuit bre ker C-ch r cteristic.
The Mini-Thermost t complies with the following st nd rds nd regul tions:

7. Maintenance
As p rt of the servicing nd m inten nce of the equipment into which the Mini-Thermost t
is inst lled, this must be included in the test!
Depending on the mbient nd oper ting conditions is regul r check on the st te c rry
out. D m ged Mini-Thermost ts re to be repl ced in ny c se.
8. Special Conditions
The c ble t il must be inst lled outside the h z rdous re , or be connected to termin l
box with suit ble protection.
The circuit of the Mini-Thermost t must be protected by C-Ch r cteristic circuit bre ker
to the r ted current of 16A.
9. Safety Instructions
The explosion protection is only gu r nteed in origin l condition. Ch nges to the Mini-
Thermost t th t ffect the explosion protection, re not permitted.
Explosion protection is not or no longer gu r nteed if:
- the potting is d m ged, torn or chipped.
- the c ble gl nd or the thre d is d m ged or torn.
- the g sket is d m ged.
- the insul tion of the supply c ble is d m ged.
