Delivery scope
Take the Race Navigator PRO out of the box and
check the content:
•Race Navigator PRO Main Unit,
•External GPS antenna,
•12 V caradapter cable and240 V charger,
•Front Cover.
Additional components can vary depending on
ordered package. Please charge the battery with
the external charger before the firstuse.
Race Navigator PRO
The RN PRO is an autonomous modularly built system which largely functions
wirelessly. The system is highly flexible and easy to use and sets the standard for
video and data analysis.
A number of functions are available including:
•Full HD video recording (1080p/30fps) or HD (720p/30fps),
•Cameras withwide-angle lensand image stabilizer,
•Night vision camera with HDresolution works up to0,01 lux,
•Composite video and data upto 4 cameras simultaneously,
•HDMI video output,
•High dynamic range microphone,
•Recording starts and ends automatically, depending on the
speed,
•GPS position and speed(10 Hz),
•Acceleration sensor (20 Hz),
•Gyro sensor (roll/yaw/pitch) and compass,
•Engine speed, throttle position and more car-specific data via
OBD2 or CAN connectors,
•Wireless (Wi-Fi) data/video transfer,
•Export of data/video to USB stick (USB 3.0).

RN PRO Main Unit Installation
A. Connect the RN Clampto the RN PRO (page 14). Take the holder and screw it to
the device with the clamp. In the vehicle, put the sucker ofthe holder below the
rear-view mirror and fasten it tight to the windscreen with the clamping lever.
Make sure that the mounted RN PRO can record videos properly. In general, the
best position is about 5−10 cm above the dashboard.
Adjust the RN PRO so that the top is approximately in balance. Check the
position by recording a test video.
NOTE: Before every ride, check the adherence of the holder. An incorrectly
installed device might get detached from the windscreen and get damaged,
causing damageto the car or serious injuries to the driver.
B. RN PRO can be also installed using the car chassis mounting screws. You can
directly mount the main unit on the floor or to the rollcage in your racing car.
Turning on the RN PRO Main Unit
Turn the RN PRO on by pressing the Power button
for at least three seconds.
Turning off
Turn the RN PRO or RN PRO Wi-Fi Dashboard off
by pressing the Power button for a brief moment.
Wait for powering off the device.

Clicking the Home button in any location opens the main
page of the RN PRO (the Home view, see 01. Home, page
17).
The Home button lights up green when the device is
turned on.
When the recording is activated, the Home button lights
up red.

There are two possibilities of mounting the
Cameras to the RN PRO Main Unit:
1. You can screw each camera directly to the
camera mounting ball.
2. You can use the RN PRO Magnetic Camera
Quick Release Set.
You can also easily mount the Cameras anywhere
to the roll-cage in your racing car. All you need is
only the RN PRO Roll-cage mount and the proper
length USB cable, both available for an additional
fee.
RN PRO Additional Cameras
Please refer to the Race Navigator website
(www.race-navigator.com) to find a full cameras
range available including HD waterproof cameras,
and night vision cameras.

RN PRO Clamp
A custom-made clamp is required for mounting the
standard suction mount to the RN PRO. It allows for
installing the device at the windshield.
To connect the RN Clamp:
•align the clamp with the device as shown in the picture
on the right,
•use two screws to attach the RN PRO Clamp to the RN
PRO device.
In the next step, you are able to connect the windshield
mount. Justtake the holder and screw it tothe device with
the clamp.

RN PRO Wi-Fi Dashboard

RN PRO Wi-Fi Dashboard allows for displaying the RN PRO
parameters and changing their values wirelessly. This remote
display is especially useful in racing cars where the RN PRO
main unit is mounted on the floor.

The dashboard and the device are connected wirelessly via
WiFi. To connect the devices:
•If the RN PRO Display is mounted, please ensure that
the AP MODE is activated: on the RN PRO, go to
SETTINGS > NETWORK and choose AP MODE.
•If the RN PRO Display is not mounted, the AP MODE is
activated automatically.
In the next step, turn on the RN PRO Wifi Dashboard and
choose the proper network from the list on the screen. The
devices are connected.
You can also connect devices by LAN cable. It will improve
connection speedand stability in harsh environments.

Turning on the RN PRO Wi-Fi Dashboard
Turn the RN PRO Wi-Fi Dashboard on by pressing

connecting the device to the powersupply.

RN Analyzer APP
RN Analyzer is an extended analysis tool of the data from all Race
Navigator devices.
The application is very easy to use and offers a wide range of
analysis options:
•The comparison of all selected laps, according to different
criteria (speed, distance, time, lap times, g-forces, OBD-II
data or CAN bus). You can analyze the entire track step by
step by using the red slider. The videos and charts are
immediately synchronized
•An aerial perspective of the race track based on Google Maps.
Your driving lines are displayed with maximum precision from
an overhead view.
•A video player. More than one video can be playedside by side
in the Analyzer view synchronously or a single video in full
screen mode.
•Social-networking services. You can easily share your laps
with friends on Facebook, YouTube and others.
