9. Warranty conditions
Subject to technical modications, misprints and errors. Illustrations not binding.
RADEMACHER Geräte-Elektronik GmbH provides a 24-month warranty for new systems that have been
installed in compliance with the installation instructions. All construction faults, material defects and
manufacturing defects are covered by the warranty.
The following are not covered by the warranty:
◆Incorrect tting or installation
◆Non-observance of the installation and operating instructions
◆Improper operation or wear and tear
◆External inuences, such as impacts, knocks or weathering
◆Repairs and modications by third parties, unauthorised persons
◆Use of unsuitable accessories
◆Damage caused by unacceptable excess voltage (e.g. lightning)
◆Operational malfunctions caused by radio frequency overlaps and other such
radio interference
RADEMACHER shall remedy any defects, which occur within the warranty period free of charge either
by repair or by replacement of the aected parts or by supply of a new replacement unit or one to the
same value. There is no general extension of the original warranty period by delivery of a replacement
or by repair as per the terms of the warranty.

mentation are available on le at the manufacturer’s premises.

The DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug can be used to integrate and control
one electrical appliance (e.g. lighting) within a DuoFern radio network.
Many of the functions provided by the DuoFern transmitter (e.g.
HomePilot® or DuoFern manual central operating unit) can thereby
be used.
4. Brief description

Proper use
Only use the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug for connecting and controlling
electrical appliances (e.g. lighting etc.) up to the stated total power level
(Technical Specications).
Operating conditions
◆Only operate the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug in dry rooms.
◆Only use with 230 V / 50 Hz mains sockets.
◆The installation and operation of the DuoFern radio system and its
components (e.g. DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug) is only permitted for
those systems and devices where a malfunction in the transmitter or
receiver would not cause a danger to personnel or property or where
this risk is already covered by other safety equipment.
3. Improper use
Never use the DuoFern radio system and its components (e.g. DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug) for the remote control of devices and systems with height-
ened safety-relevant requirements or where there is a heightened risk of
accidents. This shall require additional safety equipment. Observe the respective
statutory regulations for the installation of such systems.
IMPORTANT
Do not install the DuoFern Switch Adapter plug outside.
The use of defective equipment can lead to personal
injury and damage to property (electric shocks, short
circuiting).
Never use defective or damaged equipment. Please contact
our Customer Service department in this event .
Incorrect use leads to an increased risk of injury by
electric shocks or short circuiting.
Children are not permitted to play with the DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug.
Danger from fatal electric shock
DuoFern adapter plugs are never fully de-energised. Even
when the DuoFern adapter plug is switched o, the plugged
in electrical appliance is not completely (galvanically) discon-
nected from the mains power supply.
Pull the unit from the socket or DuoFern adapter plug before
undertaking all work on the electrical appliance.

You must assign every required DuoFern transmitter to the DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug in order that the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug can be controlled with
a DuoFern transmitter. You can assign a maximum of 20 DuoFern transmitters
(e.g. HomePilot®; DuoFern manual transmitter standard etc.).
1. Switch the desired DuoFern transmitter to registering mode (please
refer to the corresponding operating instructions).
Registering mode remains active for 60 seconds.
2. Press either the switch 3 Connect (login)" or the switch 2 "Disconnect
(logout)" on the bottom of the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug.
3. The DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug then transmits either a log-on or
log-o signal.
- The status LED ashes green during login.
- The status LED ashes red during logout.
4. If registration is successful, the status LED will light up constantly green
for approx. 20 seconds.
5. Log the next DuoFern transmitter on / o. In order to do so, repeat steps
1 to 3.
NOTE
The status LED lights up red if the registration process fails, for example
if:
- 20 DuoFern transmitters have already been registered.
- An unsuitable device (e.g. other DuoFern actuator) is registered.
- An attempt was made to log-o a DuoFern transmitter that is not
logged-on.

6. Erase data (Reset)
1. Press and hold the "Disconnect button" 2 until the status LED lights
up constantly red.
2. All of the registered DuoFern transmitters are logged-o.
3. Subsequently, the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug will be reset to its
original supplied state.

4.2 Functional description
The DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug has two switching modes (unit and light
mode) with which you can control electrical appliances.
You can switch between the two switching modes using the relevant DuoF-
ern transmitter (e.g. HomePilot® etc.). To do so, please read the operating
instructions for the respective DuoFern transmitter.

The following table shows the reactions of the DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug to the switching commands from a DuoFern trans-
mitter:
