Summary
RW8300E-a-PR is a solution for non-configuration WiFi applications. It combines a
pre-paired set of Radicom devices combining a RW8300E-a-NL (USB-Device) and a
RW8300E-a (USB-Device). Simply plug a RJ-45 and USB cable, with a USB Power
adapter and you can have Internet access from any USB port. See Fig. 1

Note: If you would like to modify settings, please connect with Radicom for the detailed
information.
IMPORTANT: Default gateway IP address of RW8300E-a-NL is 192.168.251.254

Connection procedures of RW8300E-a-NL and RW8300E-a as
Paired devices
Set up RW8300E-a connection
This session will show you how to set up RW8300E-a connection.
Note: Please make sure RW8300E-a is in default settings, you can refer chapter “Reset
RW8300E-a(-NL) (USB-Device) to the Default” on page 7.
1 Ensure the Router is operational via the RJ-45 Ethernet:
Connect a RJ-45 Ethernet cable from your notebook computer to the Internet
router to make sure you can access the Internet via the RJ-45 connection.

2 Once confirmation of the connection to the Internet via the PC and the Router,
remove the PC and connect the RJ-45 Ethernet cable between the RW8300E-a
and the router.
3 Plug the USB power adapter into USB connector on the RW8300E-a.
4 Wait about 1 minute for booting complete.

Set up RW8300E-a-NL connection
This session will show you how to set up RW8300E-a-NL connection. Refer to figure 4
and select one type of setting environment.
Note: Please make sure RW8300E-a-NL is in default setting. For RW8300E-a(-NL)
button position, please refer to page 7.

1. Windows XP
1.1 Plug USB cable between RW8300E-a-NL(mini usb) and you notebook computer
USB port
1.2 Once system detect USB device, it will install USB driver automatically. If not,
follow the PC pop-up screen to run setup.exe.
Note: If PC does not automatically install the USB driver, please manually execute
the CD Driver

1.3 Wait for one minute. You should the see Green LED flashing on both RW8300’s.
Now, you can use your notebook computer for Internet again. If not please refer the
trouble shooting in page 8.
2. Windows 7
2.1 Plug USB cable between RW8300E-a-NL(mini usb) and you notebook computer
USB port
2.2 Load USB driver under PC, Click “Run Setup.exe”.

Note: If PC doesn’t play setup automatically, please manually executed CD Driver.

2.3 Wait for one minute. You should be able to see Green LED flashing on both
RW8300s. Now, you can use your notebook computer for Internet again. If not please
refer the trouble shooting in page 8.

3. Windows 10
3.1 Install USB driver on PC.

3.2 Plug USB cable between RW8300E-a-NL(mini usb) and you notebook computer

3.3 Wait for one minute. You should be able to see Green LED flashing on both
RW8300s. Now, you can use your notebook computer for Internet again. If not please
refer the trouble shooting in page 8.
4. Linux
4.1 Plug USB cable between RW8300E-a-NL(mini usb) and you notebook computer
USB port. No driver loading is necessary for Linux system.
4.2 Wait for one minute. You should be able to see Green LED flashing on both
RW8300s. Now, you can use your Linux based device for Internet again. If not please
refer the trouble shooting in page 8.

Reset RW8300E-a(-NL) (USB-Device) to the Default
This chapter will show you how to reset RW8300E-a-NL and RW8300E-a to the
default settings by RESET button.

1 Plug in mini USB cable to power on RW8300, and wait 1 minute for system start up.
2 Reset to default: Insert a pin into the reset hole (near the LAN port), and long press
RESET button over 5 seconds. RW8300E-a(-NL) (USB-Device) will turn to factory
default setting, and LED will flash within 0.3 seconds. Once system reboots and LED
flashes per 2 seconds, reset successfully.

Trouble shooting
If the PC doesn’t access to Ethernet after the setting, please renew the PC IP
address until get a IP address of PC. Otherwise, you may contact vendor for problem
solving.
1 Windows
1.1 Press “Windows Key” to open a terminal application

Then key in “cmd” to open terminal application.
1.2 Execute “ipconfig /release” command to release all IP address setting
1.3 Execute “ipconfig /renew” command to renew the IP address.
2 Linux
2.1 Press “Windows Key” to go to search window.

Then key in “gnome-terminal” to open terminal application.

2.2 Key in “sudo dhclient –r” to release IP address setting.
2.3 Key in “sudo dhclient” to renew the IP address.
