FOUR MIXMINUS6-INPUTAND 4-OUTPUTBOARDS
INSTALLATIONAND OPERATION
NOTE: The consolemust be powered downand off airforthisprocedure.
Allowapproximately2-4hours.Access tothe undersideof the
consoleisrequired.
I. INSTALLATION
NOTE:The mix-minusoutputboardmust be mounted directlyinfront of
the output boardon the consoleinside base.
The mix-minus6-inputboard(s)mount directlyinfrontof the 6
mixerboard(s)on the consoleinside base.
1)Cut the wiretiesholdingthe powersupplycablebundlethat
passesinfront ofanyinput oroutputboardwhichwillbefronted by
amix-minusboard. Foldthepowersupplycableup overthe
boards(towardsthe rearof theconsole)and removeanystick
downswhichholdthe tiesinplace.
2)Placethemix-minusboard(s)exactlyflush againstthe
console6-input oroutput boardandmarkthe mounting holeson
the consolebase.
3)Removethe mix-minusboardsand drillthe holeswithan
11/64" metalbit.Payparticularcaretokeep metalfilingsout of the
console.
4)Mount the mix-minusboard(s)onthe consolebase. Usethe
spacersprovided toraisethe boardsoff thebasetoavoidshorts.
II. WIRING
1)Removethe existing 10-pinpowersupplyconnectorfromthe
output boardand plugitintothe openconnnectoron the mix-minus
output board(takecaretoalign pin1towardsthe rearof the
console). Plug the 10-wirepowersupplyconnectorjumpercord

fromthe mix-minusboardintothe nowopen jack on the output
board.
2)Plug theribbon cable(s)and 3wireground cable(s)between
the mix-minusboards.
3)Wirethe mix-minusinput connectorstoanyexternalaudio
sourceorinparallelwithanyconsoleinputsor, forpostinput
selectoraccess, toanyconsoleloop-through connectors. For
unbalancedinput connectionstothemix-minusboard(fromthe
loop-through point orunbalanced input sources), wiretheminuspin
on the mix-minusboardinput connectortothegroundpin.
Usethe buss assign programpinstoselect whichbussesarefed
bythe audioinputs.Multiplebussesmaybe selected foran
individualaudioinput withno downstreamintermixing of the audio
busses.
4)Wirethe fouroutput bussestoanyline levelaudioinput.
Gainisadjusted viathe four"buss out"setpotson the board.A
cableisprovided toconnectamaximumof twoVUmeterswith
peakLEDflashers. RadioSystemscan provide meterstomount in
the consoleoverbridge orforexternaluse. Usethe on-boardmix1
and 2meterleveland peakLEDsetpotstoadjustmetersensitivity
and LEDturn-on points. Usethe meterbuss selectpinstoprogram
whichbussesareread bythe meters.
