Starting up
Requirements
• Host computer with a free USB Type-C®port (to ensure full adapter
functionality, the host USB Type-C®port must support DisplayPort™Alt
Mode or Thunderbolt™3).
• Any of the following operating systems: Windows®10, macOS®
Note: Only one connected monitor can be used at a time!
USB Type-C®
Not all USB Type-C®ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C®
standard. Some ports might only provide data transfers, and might not
support video over USB.
Installation and use of the adapter

1. Connect the USB Type-C
®
cable to a supported host computer
The computer will automatically install some of the required drivers once it is connected to
your notebook’s USB Type-C
®
port. If you receive a prompt to automatically install the driver-
(s), follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
2. Connect your external display to one of the adapter’s video ports
After connecting the IB-DK1104-C, drivers that may be required are automatically installed or
updated. To complete the installation, follow the instructions that pop up during the automatic
installation.
Note: Video output capabilities are dependent on the video card and hardware specifica-
tions of your connected host notebook. Certain graphics cards have limited support, while
some monitors will also limit the output resolution.
Configure a display device
Please set up your display settings according to your operating system and requirements.
For detailed information, see the corresponding operation manual and description of your
operating system.
Supported video resolutions
The DockingStation supports:
- Ultra HD resolution via HDMI

if the connected display supports it.
- Full HD resolution via DVI-D or VGA if the connected display supports it.

Inbetriebnahme
Anforderungen
• Hostcomputer mit freier USB Type-C®Schnittstelle (um den vollen
Funktionsumfang zu gewährleisten, muss der verwendete USB Type-C®
Anschluss den DisplayPort™Alt Mode oder Thunderbolt™3 unterstützen)
• Unterstützte Betriebssysteme: Windows®10, macOS®
Hinweis: Es kann immer nur ein angeschlossener Monitor zurzeit
verwendet werden!
USB Type-C®
Nicht alle USB Type-C®Schnittstellen am Markt unterstützen den vollen
Funktionsumfang des USB Type-C®Standards. Einige Schnittstellen ermög-
lichen unter Umständen lediglich Datenübertragung, aber eventuell keine
Videoübertragung via USB.
Installation und Verwendung des Adapters

1. Verbinden Sie das USB-Type-C
®
-Kabel mit einem unterstützten Hostcomputer
Der Computer installiert automatisch einige der erforderlichen Treiber, sobald er an den USB
Type-C
®
Anschluss Ihres Notebooks angeschlossen ist. Wenn Sie aufgefordert werden, die
Treiber automatisch zu installieren, befolgen Sie die Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm, um die
Installation abzuschließen.
2. Schließen Sie Ihren Monitor an die entsprechende Videoschnittstelle des Adapters an.
Nach dem Anschließen der IB-DK1104-C werden gegebenenfalls benötigte Treiber automa-
tisch installiert bzw. aktualisiert. Um die Installation abzuschließen, folgen Sie den Anweisun-
gen, falls während der automatischen Installation dazu aufgefordert werden sollte.
Hinweis: Die Videoausgabemöglichkeiten hängen von der verwendeten Grafikkarte und
weiteren Hardwarespezifikationen des angeschlossenen Hostcomputers ab. Bestimmte Grafik-
karten verfügen nur über eingeschränkte Videounterstützung, während auch einige Monitore
nur geringere Auflösungen unterstützen.
Monitoreinrichtung
Zur optimalen Einstellung Ihrer Anzeigeeinheit gehen Sie bitte entsprechend Ihres Betriebssys-
tems und Ihrer Bedürfnisse vor. Genauere Informationen entnehmen Sie bitte dem Handbuch
und den Beschreibungen Ihres Betriebssystems.
