OPERATION
1) Remove the garden tiller
from its trailer/carrier. Use caution.
2) Familiarize yourself with the machine and its
controls.
3) Ensure the safety clutch control lever is in the
disengagedposition. The safety clutch
control lever is located on the left handle bar.
The disengaged position of the lever is down.
4) Remove the shaft locking pin located behind
the wheel axle. Store pin in hole provided on
left hand side of handle bar.
5) The wheel axle will now pivot. Lift up on the
handle to allowwheelaxle to pivot. For
transport, keep the wheel axle forward. When
cultivating, keep the wheel axle rearward for
added stability and control.
DO NOT transport the tillerwith the wheel
axle in the rear position.
6) Adjust depth shoe(ifequipped) by removing
shaft locking collarand slidingdepth shoe to
desired position. Replace shaft locking collar.
7) Open fuel shut-off valve. Set choke
control to Choke or Start position.
Set throttle control to Run or Fast
position. Set engine
stop switch to On or
Run position. Pull
starter cord rapidly.
Repeat (if necessary)
with choke off.
8) Wheninposition to begingarden tilling,
engage the safety clutch controllever. The
tyneswillbeginrotating. Wheel axle must be in
the rearpositionwhile tilling.Release the
safety clutch controllever to stop the tynes
rotating. Tynespeed is governed by engine
throttle setting.

9) Do not hurry the job. Proceed slowly and allow
the machine time to do the job. When ground
is extremely hard, reduce engine speed.

STOPS.Press the engine"STOP"button
located on the engine.
10) Stop Engine: Release the safety clutch control

6) When feeding branches into woodchipper, make
sure to feed, the large end of the branch first.
Place the branches into the material intake hopper
from the operator zone. Branches should not be
forced into the intake hopper. If branches are
extremely long it is recommended that they be cut
into shorter lengths to achieve best results.
Note: Side branches should be pruned off to avoid
clogging the intake hopper. Light / Bushy / Spongy
matertial should not be forced into the chipping unit.
The woodchipper should feed itself.
If the machine does not self feed, the chipper
knives may be dull or the anvil to blade setting
may require adjustment.
1) Wear either safety
glasses or helmet & visor
combination, loose fitting
gloves, & hearing protection.
2) Familiarize yourself with the woodchipper and its
controls.
3) No foreign objects such as stones, steel, cans,
glass, sweepings, wire, rope or nails should be fed
into the chipper chute, as damage will occur.
4) Open fuel shut-off valve, if engine is
equipped. Move choke control to CHOKE
or START position.
Note: choke must fully
close. Move throttle
control to RUN or FAST
position. If engine is
equipped with rocker
style stop switch, push RUN,
or I (I=Ignition) before starting.
Manual Rewind Starter: Grasp rope handle
and pull slowly until resistance is felt to prevent
kickback. Then pull cord rapidly to overcome
compression and start engine. Repeat if necessary
with choke off and throttle control in FAST position.
Operate engine in FAST position.
5) After the engine is cranked slowly increase the
engine RPM to approximately halfway on the
throttle control lever whilst engaging onto the belts.
Rapid engagement may stall the engine. Release
handle when fully engaged. Allow engine to reach
maximum operating speed of approximately 3000
RPM and operating temperature.
7) CAUTION: If the woodchipper discharge clogs with
material, stop the engine immediately, disengage
the engine engagement handle, clear blockage,
then restart engine.
CAUTION: If the chipping disc jams and the engine
stalls, disengage the engine engagement handle.
Make sure all obstructions are clear and the chipper
disc spins freely. Restart engine.
8) When unit is in operation, approach chipper from the
operator zone side (See Figure 1.)
KEEP CLEAR OF DISCHARGE AREA.
Pay attention to discharge direction.
9) The chipping disc will take several seconds to stop
after engine has been turned off.
WARNING: Do not go near the chipping disc for any
reason during this period.
10) Stop Engine: Do not move choke control to CHOKE
position to stop engine. Backre or engine damage
may occur. Move throttle control to SLOW position,
then push rocker switch to O (STOP) or turn key to
OFF, if equipped.
1) Turn fuel tap to “OFF” position.
2) Allow machine to cool down. Clean
with warm soapy water. Ensure no water enters the
carburettor.
Open fuel shut-off valve. Move choke
control to CHOKE or START position.
Note: Choke must fully close. Move throttle
controlto RUN or FAST position. If engine is
equipped with rocker style stop switch, push
RUN or I (I = Ignition) before starting. Rewind
Starter: Grasp rope
handle and pull slowly
until resistance is felt
to prevent kickback.
Then pull cord rapidly
to overcome compression, and start engine.
Repeat if necessary with choke off and throttle
control at maximum rpm (FAST position). Operate

TRANSPORT
BEFORE USE
1) DO NOT allow any person operate the
rotary hoe without first reading and
understanding the safety instructions and
operating instructions.
2) NEVER allow children to operate the rotary hoe.
8) ALWAYS make certain the Tyne Control Lever is
set at neutral while loading and unloading the
rotary hoe, or moving to and away from working area.
9) NEVER run the machine in reverse while the tynes
are rotating. Always move the tyne control lever to
“OFF” before reversing the wheels.
11) DO NOT leave the machine unattended while the
engine is running.
12) DO NOT overspeed the engine or alter the governor
settings. Excessive speed is dangerous and will
shorten engine life.
13) NEVER operate the rotary hoe in an
enclosed area. Engine exhaust contains
carbon monoxide, an odourless and
tasteless poison.
14) STOP the engine and disconnect the
spark plug lead(s) and allow engine to
cool before inspecting or performing
maintenance on the rotary hoe.

direction after clutch lever is engaged.
SAFETY CLUTCH LEVER/OPERATOR PRESENCE
CONTROL: (At left handle grip) Activates WHEEL
DRIVE and DIGGING CHAIN controls when depressed.
Stops all motion when released.
FORWARD/REVERSE DIGGING CHAIN CONTROL
LEVER: Allows manual operation of chain in forward
or reverse rotation to dislodge objects or dig difficult
terrain. (This control can be used with the clutch lever
released.) To reverse chain, DIGGING CHAIN control
must be in “OFF” position.
Familiarize yourself with the hydraulic

Free Wheel Hub Feature - Operation:
Pull one free wheeling pin slightly, using the split
ring. Rotate the pin until the 3mm (1/8”) diameter roll
pin aligns with the slot in the mounting plate. Allow
the pin to slide through the slot. Repeat for the other
wheel. Roll the trencher until each pin drops into a
hole in the hub. The wheel hubs are now locked.
Reverse the procedure to unlock the wheels.

dangerous. Careless or improper use may cause serious or even fatal injury.

FOR C100 USERS
TRANSPORT
1) DO NOT exceed 80kms per hour (50mph) when towing
the C100. Always use extreme caution when towing.
2) WARNING: Make sure discharge chute is tightened,
secure and in the down position before towing.
(See Figure 1.)
BEFORE USE
1) WARNING: Before starting engine, inspect the
material intake hopper and remove any foreign
debris or branches. Perform a thorough visual
inspection of the woodchipper and the chipper disc drive
system.
2) Set discharge chute to desired direction and angle.

2) NEVER allow children to operate the rotary hoe.

set at neutral while loading and unloading the
rotary hoe, or moving to and away from working area.
9) NEVER run the machine in reverse while the tynes
are rotating. Always move the tyne control lever to
“OFF” before reversing the wheels.
11) DO NOT leave the machine unattended while the
engine is running.
12) DO NOT overspeed the engine or alter the governor
