REMKO KP8 CONDENSATE PUMP
Carefully read the operating manual
before placing the unit in service for
the first time. It provides useful tips,
notes and hazard warnings to prevent
injury and material damage. Failure
to follow the directions in this manual
can endanger persons, the environment
and the equipment itself and will void any
claims for liability.
■ Keep this manual in the vicinity of
the units.
■ Only qualified personnel may set up
and install the units and components.
■ The set-up, connection, and operation
of the unit and its components
must take place in accordance with
the operating conditions stipulated
in this manual and comply with
all applicable local regulations.
■ Modification of the units or
components supplied by REMKO
is not permitted and can cause
malfunctions.
■ Units and components may not
be operated in areas where there
is an increased risk of damage.
Observe the minimum clearances.
Safety notes
■ The electrical power supply is
to be adapted to the requirements
of the units.
■ The operational safety of the units
and components is only assured
if they are fully assembled and used
as intended. Safety devices may not
be modified or bypassed.
■ Do not operate units or components
if there are obvious defects or signs
of damage.
■ The units and components must
be kept at an adequate distance from
flammable, explosive, combustible,
abrasive and dirty areas or
atmospheres.
■ Installation, repair and maintenance
work may only be carried out
by authorised specialists. Visual
inspections and cleaning can
be performed by the operator as
long as the unit is disconnected from
the power.
■ Take appropriate precautions when
performing installation, repair

Environmental protection
and recycling The KP8 condensate pump is used
to remove the condensate water
from the indoor units or cold water
collectors to higher drains. Depending
on the space available, the condensate
pump can be installed on the right
or left, e. g. in cable ducts next to
the indoor units or on an intermediate
ceiling. An additionally installed liquid
level switch switches the pump on
and off. If the condensate level is too
high, the safety switch will switch off
the cooling request (compressor contact)
and release an alarm contact.
Disposal of packaging
All products are packed for transport
in environmentally friendly materials.
Make a valuable contribution to reducing
waste and sustaining raw materials.
Only dispose of packaging at approved
collection points.
Disposal of components
The manufacturing process for the units
is subject to continuous quality
control. Only high-grade materials are
processed, the majority of which are
recyclable. Help protect the environment
by only disposing of the components
in accordance with local regulations and
in an environmentally safe manner, e.g.
through authorised disposal and recycling
specialists or at collection points.
Intended
use
Depending on the model, the units
and the additional fittings with which
they are equipped are only intended
to be used as an air-conditioner
for the purpose of cooling or heating
the air in an enclosed space.
Any different or additional use is a non-
intended use. The manufacturer/supplier
assumes no liability for damages arising
from non-intended use. The user bears
the sole risk in such cases.
Intended use also includes working
in accordance with the operating and
installation instructions and complying
with the maintenance requirements.

Assembly
Assembling the condensate pump
for the units RVT, RXW, MXW, ATY, MVW
1. Connect condensate hose with an inner
diameter of 15 mm to the condensate
drain of the air conditioner, shorten
if necessary.
2 Slide the approx. 10 cm long vent
hose (Fig. 1, above) onto the upper
connection of the reservoirs.
3. Place the reservoir so that the end of
the vent hose is at least 2 cm above
the condensate tray and that an axial
rotation of 15° is not exceeded.
4. Fix the reservoir with the retaining
plate by pushing the reservoir
onto the retaining plate and gluing
it to a smooth and clean surface.
5. Slide the approx. 2 m long
condensate hose (Fig. 1, above)
onto one of the lower connections
of the reservoir. Pay attention
to the inclination angle of the reservoir!
6. Place the condensate pump in a cable
duct or in the intermediate ceiling. Slide
the condensate hose onto the plastic
connector on the condensate pump
(Fig. 2).
Observe the flow direction of the pump.
Water inlet: on the brass socket Water
outlet: on the plastic hose.
7. Ensure that the condensate pump
is adequately ventilated. The pump
must be not insulated.

Electrical wiring
1. Insert the 2 m long 4-pin
connection cable of the reservoir
into the socket of the condensate
pump.
2. Connect the supplied double cable
with the 6-pin plug into the free
socket of the condensate pump.
3. Connect the 6 cores as shown
in the wiring diagram below.
When using the malfunction contacts, unused cable ends must
be properly insulated (terminal block).

tray and check whether the pump
is switched on and the condensate
is pumped out to the drain on site.
To check the air conditioner's alarm
contact, add enough water to trigger it.
