System Requirements
Gateway: Samsung SmartThings Hub
Target Device: ZXT-600 (Zwave-to-IR extender)
Device Handler source code for SmartThings:
zxt-600 v02.groovy

Install Custom Device Code
Step 1) Before you start creating your custom device code, you should have registered a SmartThings
account in SmartThings Developer Portal.
Step 2) Click “My Device Handlers” and create a new Device handler
Select “From Code” and copy all content of the groovy file. And then click “Create”
After that, you can “Save” it.
Then you can see the device handler like this.

Include ZXT-600 to a Z-wave Gateway
Notes:
1. It is recommended to perform the Remove (Exclude) procedure before performing
an Add (Include) procedure.
2. Red Indicator flashes TWICE then stay off to represent the Add / Remove process
failed, please repeat the above step again.
3. If the Add (Include) process fails, try Remove (Exclude) and /or resetting the
AC Master to Factory Default and repeat the above step.

Configure IR code
Click “Setup” icon
Modify the code number.
(Please use QR Code scanner to scan
the QR code label (below), then it
will reach to our Code Finder
Webpage to obtain the Code
Number)

Click “Save” to confirm the change.
Click the “Config” icon once to
trigger the “Configuration Command
Class” action.
The ZXT-600 may turn on LED (up to
30s) for IR code setup. Please don’t
do other operation until the LED is
OFF.

IR code learning
According to the ZXT-600 user manual, here is the IR learning Mapping table.

Click the icon as shows to change
the learn location
Click “UP” or “DOWN” to select
different learn location.
Click “X” to confirm and exit

Remark:
Once you finished the IR Code Learning, please go to Config IR code operation and config the IR code
number to “000” to select the dedicated AC code number “000” for learning.
•Click “Learn” icon to start IR
learning action.
Then Green Indicator still turns ON for
indicating the IR Code Learning Start
•Aim the Original Air Conditioner
Remote at AC Master according to
below position within 1-3cm Press
“Power ON“ button on the Original
Air Conditioner Remote. If the
Learning is failed, repeat previous
step to learn next IR code.
Successful:
Green Indicator flashes TWICE
Unsuccessful:
Red Indicator flashes TWICE.
