2 Hardware Connections
1Use an Ethernet cable to connect the ISG50 LAN-1 port to your LAN.
2Use another Ethernet cable(s) to connect port WAN-1 and/or port WAN-2 to an Ethernet
jack with Internet access.
Use an 8-wire Ethernet cable to run your Gigabit Ethernet at
1000 Mbps. Using a 4-wire Ethernet cable limits your
connection to 100 Mbps. Note that the connection speed also
depends on what the Ethernet device at the other end can
support.
3ISG50-PSTN: Use telephone cables with RJ-11 connectors to connect your existing
PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) outlet to the ISG50’s FXO ports.
ISG50-ISDN: Use telephone cables with RJ-48 connectors to connect basic rate ISDN
phone lines to the ISG50’s BRI ports.

NEVER connect your FXS ports to your PSTN line as this
could damage the ISG50.
4Use a telephone cable with RJ-11 connectors to connect a fax machine
(recommended) or analog phone to the FXS interface.
5Use the included power cord to connect the power socket on the rear panel to a power
outlet.
The PWR LED turns on and stays on when the ISG50 is receiving power. The SYS LED
blinks during boot up and stays on when the ISG50 is ready.

the ISG50.

1Verbinden Sie den LAN-1-Port der ISG50 mit einem Ethernet-Kabel mit dem LAN.
2Schließen Sie Ihren Router mit Internetzugriff an den WAN-1-Port 2 und/oder den
WAN-2-Port an.
Verwenden Sie ein 8-adriges Ethernet-Kabel für Gigabit-
Verbindungen. Bei einem 4-adrigen Ethernet-Kabel wird die
Verbindung auf 100 Mbps reduziert. Die
Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit und Kommunikationszeit
hängen auch von der Leistungsfähigkeit des anderen Geräts
ab.
3ISG50-PSTN: Schließen Sie ein Telefonkabel mit RJ-11-Stecker an den Anschluss des
öffentlichen Telefonnetzes PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) und an die
FXO-Ports des ISG50 an.
ISG50-ISDN: Schließen Sie Telefonkabel mit RJ-48-Stecker an die ISDN-Anschlueße und
an die BRI-Ports des ISG50 an.

Verbinden Sie NIE die FXS-Ports mit dem Anschluss des
öffentlichen Telefonnetzes, da dadurch der ISG50 beschädigt
werden könnte.
4Schließen Sie ein Telefonkabel mit RJ-11-Stecker an ein Faxgerät (empfohlen) oder an
ein analoges Telefon und an die FXS-Schnittstelle an.
5Schliessen Sie den Netzanschluss des Geräts (auf der Rückseite) mit dem
mitgelieferten Netzkabel an eine Netzsteckdose an.
Die PWR-LED leuchtet, wenn die ISG50 mit Strom versorgt wird. Die SYS-LED blinkt,
während das Gerät hochfährt, und leuchtet, wenn die ISG50 betriebsbereit ist.
3 Anmelden beim Web-Konfigurator
Eine ausführliche Beschreibung aller Funktionen der ISG50 finden Sie im
Benutzerhandbuch, welches auf der CD enthalten ist.

1Utilice un cable Ethernet para conectar el puerto LAN-1 del ISG50 a su LAN.
2Utilice otro(s) cable(s) Ethernet para conectar el puerto WAN-1 y/o el puerto WAN-2 a
una clavija Ethernet con acceso a Internet.
Utilice un cable Ethernet de 8 hilos para las conexiones
Gigabit. Si utiliza un cable Ethernet de 4 hilos su conexión
quedará limitada a 100Mbps. Tenga en cuenta que la
velocidad de conexión y el tiempo de negociación también
dependen de lo que puede soportar el dispositivo Ethernet al
otro extremo.
3ISG50-PSTN: Utilice cables con conectores RJ-11 para conectar su toma de PSTN
(Public Switched Telephone Network) a los puertos FXO del ISG50.
ISG50-ISDN: Utilice cables con conectores RJ-48 para conectar líneas de teléfono ISDN

NUNCA conecte los puertos FXS a la línea PSTN, dado que
podría dañar el ISG50.
4Utilice un cable de teléfono con conectores RJ-11 para conectar un fax (recomendado)
o teléfono analógico a la interfaz FXS.
5Use el cable de alimentación incluido para conectar el zócalo de alimentación del panel
posterior a una toma de corriente.
El LED PWR se mantiene encendido cuando el ISG50 recibe corriente. El LED SYS

NE CONNECTEZ JAMAIS vos ports FXS à votre ligne PSTN
car cela pourrait endommager l’ISG50.
4Utilisez un câble téléphonique avec des connecteurs RJ-11 pour connecter un
télécopieur (recommandé) ou un téléphone analogique à l'interface FXS.
5Utilisez le cordon d'alimentation inclus pour connecter la prise d'alimentation située sur
le panneau arrière à une prise de courant.
La LED PWR s’allume et reste allumée quand l’ISG50 est alimenté. La LED SYS clignote
pendant le démarrage et reste allumée quand l’ISG50 est prêt.
