Installation
1. TurnoanyassociatedcomponentspriortoconnectingtheCantataMusicCenter.isminimizesthe
chanceofmomentaryelectricalsurgesdisturbingyoursystem.
2. SetthepowerswitchontherearoftheunittotheOFFposition,aachthepowercordandconnectittoyour
electricaloutlet.(eOFFpositionisselectedwhenthe“O”symbolontheswitchisdepressed.)
3. ConnecttheanalogoutputsoftheCantataMusicCentertoyourpreamplieroramplier.eCantataMusic
CenterisdesignedtoconnecttoanypreamplieroramplierdirectlyusingRCAorXLRinterconnects.
4. TurnonthemainpowerswitchontherearpaneloftheCantataMusicCenter.(eONpositionisselected
whenthe“I”symbolontheswitchisdepressed.)eCantatawillbegininlow-powerstandbymode.Press
thestandbybuononeitherthefrontpanelortheremotecontrol.eCantataMusicCenterwilltakeafew
secondstoinitializeandreadthediscifpresent.Volumelevelisfactory-settoalowlevel(30),butwillsubse-
quentlyberestoredtothelastsavedseing.
5. Turnontherestofyoursystem.Itisagoodhabittoturntheamplieronlast,andorst,topreventsurges
andtransientsfromreachingyourloudspeakers.
6. InsertaCDandpressPlay,orselectanexternalinputviatheremoteorfrontpanel.
7. Adjustthevolume.Ifyouareusingapreamplier,werecommendseingtheleveltomaximum(100).e
volumeseingcanalsobeusedtomatchtheleveloftheCantataMusicCentertoothersourcecomponents,
inordertominimizethedierencewhenswitchingsources.
Unpacking
AerunpackingyourCantataMusicCenter,inspectitforanyshippingdamageandcontactusimmediatelyifany
isfound.Donotplugtheunitintoanyoutletifyoudiscoveranyshippingdamage.
Pleasekeepallpackingmaterialsforfuturetransportofyourplayer,andpleasedonotdetachthefoamfromthe
insideoftheshippingcrate.ecrateisdesignedforeasyreuseshoulditbeneededandiswell-testedtoensure
thesafetyofyourplayer.Shippingtheunitinanythingotherthanitsoriginalcratemayresultindamagethatis
notcoveredbywarranty.Ifyourequireareplacementcrateorotherpackingmaterials,pleasecontactResolution
Audio.
InadditiontotheMusicCenter,thefollowingitemsarealsoincluded:mainspowercord,USBcable,remote
control,and(2)AAAbaeriesfortheremotecontrol.Toinstallthebaeriesintheremotecontrol,openthe

Stop / Eject CD–Pressingthisbuononceinplaymodewillstopplayback.
WhentheCDisstopped,thebuonwillejecttheCD.

playback.
Track Backward / Forward–Pressingthesebuonswillgobackorforwardonetrackwitheach
press.Holdingthesebuonswillrapidlyskipforwardorbackwardthroughtracks.
Multi-purpose Display–Displaysvariousinformationabouttracknumberandplaytimeona
CD,currentdigitalinputsource,volumelevel,etc.
Compact Disc Slot–PlacingaCDpartwayintotheslotwillcausetheplayertoautomatically
loadtheCDintotheplayer.PressingtheStop/EjectCDbuononthefrontpanel,ortheEject
buonontheremote,willejecttheCD.
