General Information Before Installing
The Pisa Fountain is designed for indoor or outdoor use.
A level surface is essential for proper operation. Electrical household current GFI outlet is required
for operation.
IMPORTANT- water flow from the Pisa Fountain can generate some over spray. Please take this into ac-
count in determining placement location.
Indoor Use: use only on tile or other water proof surface. Do not use on hardwood floors or carpet. Keep
away from fine furniture or other articles which may be adversely affected by splashing water.
Outdoor Use: after site selection is made, recommend that a sand base bed is made for basin to sit
on- this will make leveling more easily achieved. Garden plants will benefit from fountain over spray as
well as promote a habitat beneficial for frogs and lizards.

Assembly Instructions
Screw flow regulator valve onto threaded
outlet on pump.
Place basin into final position.
Thread pump electrical cord through stand
pipe in center of basin, allowing enough
cord that pump can rest on bottom of basin
next to pipe. Pull cord from under basin.
Once basin is in final location, place pipe
cap on top of pipe and press down
achieving tight seal. This will prevent water
from exiting basin by flowing over top of
pipe.
Attach filter to protruding part of pump.
Screw adapter into open end of regulator
valve.

Thread vinyl tube, which is located underside of
Fountainhead through top of Pedestal and place
both pieces in basin adjacent to basin pipe.
Insert vinyl tube securely on to adapter valve.
Stand Fountainhead and pedestal in center of
basin.
Fill basin with enough water to insure pump is
submerged.
Plug in pump cord - water will begin to flow from
all spouts and top.
If water does not flow, unplug and re-plug this
will purge any airlock in tubes.
Maintenance
.Clean removable filter to insure proper operation. Change water when
necessary.
. Depending on certain climate conditions and other environmental factors may encourage
mildew on fountain. Cleaning with mild soap and water is recommended if desired.
. Do not use chlorine bleach. It will harm finish. If algae control is desired, use anti algae
formula available and any garden center. Select formulation that is safe for bird and
animals.
. Drain fountain before first frost.
Placement & Operational Tips
Birds like to refresh themselves in Pisa Fountain, standing on top of Fountainhead, drinking water from top
spout. To encourage bird use, place in open location in garden, clear of shrubbery or walls- birds will not
visit if they do not feel safe.
Use of a Timer (not included) plugged into GFI electrical outlet will insure that your fountain turns on/off
conveniently.
