1.0 General Inspection
When you get a new AV 2012 B Oscillator, you are suggested to take the following steps to
inspect the instrument.
1.1 Inspect the shipping carton for damage
If there are damages in the packing or foam, keep them until the whole instrument passing the
electrical and mechanical test
1.2 Inspect the instrument
In case any mechanical damage or defect, or if the instrument does not operate properly or
The consigner or carrier shall be liable for the damage to the instrument resulting from shipment.
Rexotech would not be responsible for free maintenance/rework or replacement of the unit.

POWER SOURCE
This product is intended to operate:
- with an 2.5 mm female 12 Volt / 1 Ampere DC Mains Adapter
- with an at least 12 Volt / 1 Ampere Bench Power supply
A quality Mains Adapter / Bench Supply is essential for safe operation.

1.3 Safety Notices
Review the following precautions carefully before operating the instrument to avoid any peronal
injury or damage to the instrument or products connected to it.
To avoid potential hazards, use the instrument in the manner specified in this user’s guide.
No serviceable parts inside: The instrument should be serviced only by qualified personnel
Avoid Fire or Personal Injury.
Use Proper Power Supply’s as specified in this manual and disconnect it when not in use.
Observe all the Ratings and Symbols on the instrument /terminal.
To avoid fire or shock, observe all the ratings and symbols that are marked on the instrument. Read
the manual carefully before making connections to the instrument.
Use an oscilloscope or other proper instruments to get familiar with the instrument
operation.
Do not operate your instrument without Covers or Panels.
Do not operate the instrument with suspected failures.
If you suspect there is a damage with this product, have it inspected by qualified personnel
authorized by Rexotech before further operations.
Provide proper Ventilation
Do not operate in Wet / Damp conditions or in an Explosive Atmosphere.
Keep the Product’s Surfaces Clean and Dry.

2.0 Instrument at a Glance
AudioVine AV 2012B
Introduction
The AudioVine AV 2012B Sine Oscillator adopts a Phase Shift Oscillator with an improved
AGC two loop stabilizing system.
Alps pots / switches and Wima caps combined with a high efficiency AGC to meet today’s high-
end development.
The AV 2012B provides four overlapping bands from 10 Hz to 100 kHz.
The AudioVine AV 2012B is perfect for: High quality 24 bit ADC tests, Op Amp and Amplifier
testing, THD / Power measurements, Instrument verification / calibration and by its space saving
size: perfect for field applications.
The AV 2012B offers two 50 Ωunbalanced and 50 Ωbalanced outputs.
The Instrument provides a standard 2.5mm DC-IN connector for a standard 12Vdc/1A wall mains
adapter.
The AudioVine AV 2012B Oscillator is capable of generating high quality low distortion sine
wave signals together with a flat noise floor:
THD+N Ratio ≤ 105dB / 0.0005% @ 1 kHz 4dBu into 600R
Audio Precision APx555 tested.

2.1 Frontpanel

[1] Instrument ON Switch
Instrument turns on by switching the ON pushbutton.
Power LED lights up. Instrument is on and ready to use.
[2] Second Output
50 Ωunbalanced buffered.
[3] Frequency adjustment knob
Set the output sine frequency.
[4] Frequency band selection
The pushbutton selects the frequency range. By pressing all out the x10k range is selected.
[5] Frequency tuning
Provides a frequency fine tuning of about +-1% of the actual setting
[6] Output Level Adjustment.
Sets the Output level for all three Outputs.
[7] ON / OFF /-20dB
Turns on/off all three AV 2012B outputs. The -20dB attenuator option applies on all
channels.
[8] BAL / Balanced Output
Neutrik 50 Ωbalanced output for a ¼” TRS 6.3mm Stereo Jack male connector
[9] Unbalanced Main Output
50 Ωunbalanced BNC Output.

WARNING:
Make sure the proper output level is adjusted before turning the instrument on or
set the Switch [7] to OFF state.
2.2 Backpanel

Attention:
Use only quality mains adapter or bench power supply. Take care to switch of the mains wall
adapter when the instrument is not in use.
