Our equipment is manufactured in accordance with worldwide quality standards and fulfils the requirements
of all certificates and homologations required for this kind of equipment.
This device was designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO-9001 procedures, using the latest
generation components.
I. Destination
The SMART mini amplifier is destined for use in antenna systems receiving terrestrial analogue and digital
TV programs in detached houses, residences, terrace houses, hotels, boarding houses, holiday centers,
schools, hospitals, etc. - even situated in places with difficult reception conditions, where the received signals
have different levels and are coming from different directions. SMART mini enables to receive these signals,
to equalize their levels and to amplify them. The SMART mini amplifier can be used as an independent unit,
as well as a part of a bigger head-end station.
II. Amplifier connection and activation
Never connect or start the SMART mini amplifier until the installation of the receiving antennas has been
completed. In order to select the correct antenna type you should precisely examine the receiving conditions,
that is:
1. Connect antennas to the amplifier inputs:
• TV bands IV and V antennas (470...862 MHz) – to UHF1, UHF2 inputs,
• TV bands III antennas (174…230 MHz) – to VHF input,
• FM antenna (47...108 MHz) – to BI/FM input.
Caution:
a) It is recommended to connect to this input the antenna receiving the biggest number of TV channels.
b) It is possible to connect to UHF1, UHF2, and UHF3 inputs antennas with preamplifiers.
c) Preamplifiers will be detected automatically and the 12V DC voltage will be providing on proper input.
d) UHF3 input is universal input. To this input is possible to connect:
- TV band IV and V antenna, or
- TV band III, IV and V antenna (VHF input will be disconnected, UHF3 input becomes wideband
input VHF+UHF – see Table 1), or
- additional devices (video camera with A/V modulator, satellite receiver, etc.)
- Possible combination of TV bands and VHF and UHF3 inputs come from S3 switch position are
showed in Table 1.
Table 1

2. S1, S2 and S3 switches, assign the required number of channel paths P1…P6 to both of the UHF inputs.
Possible combination of inputs and channel paths are showed in Table2.

3. Not used inputs and outputs should be terminated with 75 Ωresistors in F connectors.
III. UHF channel paths setting
Every channel path possesses two regulators:
- the „21...69” regulator – multi-rotary, enables to tune the filter to the correct channel, and
- the „” regulator – the one-rotary, for the gain adjustment.
1. The regulators „21...69” set in the right final position.
2. The regulators „”set in middle position.
3. Connect mains plug to the power outlet.
4. Connect the level meter to the amplifiers output. If it is necessary use a right attenuator.
5. Select the right channel number on the level meter.
6. Select the regulator „21...69” respondent the chosen channel number and turning its in left, get the
maximum value on the level meter.
7. Using the gain regulator „”, set the required signal level.
8. Repeat steps from point 2 to 4 until all UHF channels are assigned to channel paths.
IV. VHF output signals settings
Using the gain regulator „ ” of UHF range, set the required output signal level.
V. FM path
The BI/FM path is not adjustable.
VI. Connecting of additional devices
Additional devices (video recorder, PC, camera with A/V modulator, etc.) can be connected after switching
off the amplifier. For this purpose UHF3 input should be used. Signal level can be adjusted by ATT
attenuator.
SAFETY:
1. To achieve proper ventilation, no objects should be placed at the distance smaller than 5 cm from the
device.
2. The device should not be covered by any objects like papers, tablecloths, hangings, etc.
3. Operating temperature -10 … 50 .
4. The device should not be exposed to drops and splashing water.
