1.GENERALSAFETYINSTRUCTIONSANDPRINCIPLES
ATTENTION!Read all instructions and principles carefully. Every person installing, operating or maintaining the tool
must be first thoroughly acquainted with this operations manual and is obliged to adhere to the following safety
instructionsandprinciples:
Thetoolmustnotbeusedforotherpurposesthanthoseforwhichitwasdesigned.
Thetoolmustnotbeusedinadifferentmannerthanthatrecommendedbythemanufacturer
Any alterations of the tool, its accessories or spare parts remain in sole responsibility of the customer. After
agreementthemanufacturerprovidetechnicalsupportindesigningandmakingadditionalalterations.
Thetoolmustbekeptintopconditionandregularlytestedfor damage and proper operation. The tool must be
repairedonlybyanauthorizedtechnicianorbyapersontrainedbythemanufacturerorsupplier.Shouldyouhave
anydemandfortraining,pleasecontactyoursalesagent.
Thetoolmustalwaysbeoperatedinaccordancewithrespectivesanitaryandsafetyregulations.
Allqueriesregardingproperandsafeoperationofthetoolshouldbeaddressedtoyoursalesagent.
Safetyprinciplesthatmustbeadheredtoinconnectionwithoperationofthistoolmustbeknowntoallworkerswho
operatethetool.
Whenhandlingthetooltakeextracaretoavoidunwantedactivationandpossibleinjury.
Thetoolmustbeduringanykindofmaintenanceorrepair(doesnotapplytoreplacingnose‐piecesandemptyingthe
mandrelcontainer)disconnectedfromthesourceofcompressedair.
Beforeoperatingthetoolalwaystakeupfirmpostureandsteadyposition.
Itisnecessarytopreventbreak‐awayshanksendangeringsafeoperationofthetool.
Neveraimwiththetoolatanotherperson.
Alwayscheckthattheventholesarenotblockedorcoveredandthatthesupplyhoseareingoodcondition.
Workingpressuremustnotexceed0,7MPa.
Oxygenorotherflammablegassesfrompressurecylindersmustnotserveasadrivingagent.
Whenoperatingthetoolitisrecommendedtousesafetyglassesandutilitygloves.
Ifthecontinuouscycleofrivetingexceeds8hoursperday,itisrecommendedthattheoperatorsuseearprotectors.
Whenworkingwiththetooltheoperatormustnothaveloosepartsofwearase.g.atie,longhair,jewelleryetc.to
avoidgettingcaughtbythetool.
Samesafetyinstructionsapplyforpersonsstandingclosetothetool.
Avoidunnecessarycontactwiththehydraulicfluidtopreventpossibleallergyreactionoftheskin.
Thetoolisequippedwithpermanentmagnet,themagneticpolemayinfluenceelectronicandevensomemechanic
machines.Soitisnecessarytowarnaboutthepossibilityoftheinfluenceontheoperationofelectronicimplants
(e.g.pacemakers,insulinpumpsetc.)withpotentialfataleffectfortheusersoftheseimplants.Themagneticpole
mayalsodamageinformationonmagneticappliances(audioandvideocassettes,diskettes,creditcardsetc.)and
itcandestroytheforever.Whileusing(andstoring)thetool,please,keepdistancewiththesesensitiveappliances,
inthiscase0,5misconsideredasthesavedistance.
Thetoolisnotdesignedforoutdoorandexplosiveenvironment.

5) Screw the mandrel on to the sleeve (to the backstop) and then turnitback,sothattheflatsofthe
hexagonsofthescrew‐pluggaugeandsleevearematching.
6) Slideontheanviltothehexagonsofthemandrelandsleeve.
7) Screwontheanviltothefrontnozzle.
8) Set‐uptheanvil:
- Forrivetnuts‐therivetnutisscrewedonthewholelengthofthethreadonthemandrelandthefront
oftherivetnutleansontheanvil.Fastenthepositionoftheanvilwithacounternut.
- forrivetbolts‐set‐uptheanvilsothatthereisacca1mmspacebetweentheoutersideoftherivet
boltandinnersideoftheanvil.Doitasfollowing:screwontheanviltothebackstoptothemandreland
thenscrewitbackoneortwoturns.Fastenthepositionoftheanvilwithacounternut.
9) Basicstrokeset‐upasfollowing(doesnotapplyforalltypesofrivetnuts):
- toset‐upthestroketurnthecoveringsleeveofthefrontnozzle,valueofthestrokeareindicatedbe‐
tweenthescaleonthebodyofthefrontnozzleandtheedgeofthecoveringsleeveofthefrontnozzle,
digitsindicatethestrokeintomillimeters,seethefollowingpicture:

10) Adjust revolvable air supply into any required position and connect the tool to the source of the
compressedair.
11) Puttherivetonthemandrelandpushtowardstheanvil,thiswillscrewontherivet.
12) Putthescrewedrivetintothepreparedhole.
13) Pressthetriggerandtherivetwillberivetedin.
14) Relieve the trigger, the mandrel will screw out from the rivet(ifitisnotfullyscrewedout,usethe
unscrewingbutton).
15) Checkthefastenedrivet
- iftherivetisnotfullyfasteneditisnecessarytoincreasethestroke.
- if the rivet is too fastened, which results in deformation of the rivet and the mandrel ishard to
unscrewoutfromtherivet,itisnecessarytodecreasethestroke.
16) Checkthesetting‐upoftheanvilaccordingtothestep8).
Thetool,whichissetupapreparedthiswayisreadyforriveting.
3.TOOLMAINTENANCE
Duringmaintenancethetoolmustbedisconnectedfromthesourceofcompressedair!!!
3.1.Dailymaintenance
Before starting work, apply severaldropsoflubricatingoil(werecommendhydraulicoilHYSPINAWHM32
CASTROL) into the air inlet of the tool, on condition there is no lubricating device connected in the air
distribution.
Checkthetoolforairleakage,ifnecessaryreplacedamagedhosesandclasps.
Ifthepressureregulatorisnotequippedwithafilter,blowthroughtheairhosebeforeitsconnectiontothe
toolinordertogetridofimpuritiesandwater.Ifthepressureregulatorhasafilter,dryitout.
Checkwhetherthefixednose‐piececorrespondstotheBRdiameterandthatallscrewthreadsandjointsare
tightenedproperly.
Checkwhethertheairoutletsarereallyempty.

3.2.Weeklymaintenance
Cleaningofthetoolandreplacementofwornornon‐functionalparts.
Unscrewtheanvilandmandrelaccordingtothechapter2.4.,point1)to3)andcleanthemthoroughly.Visually
check‐especiallythemandrel,anvilandfrontnozzle‐ifwornordamaged,replacethem.Dismountedparts
shouldbereinstalledaccordingtothechapter2.4.,points5)to7)includingsettingupaccordingtothepoint
8).
3.3.Generalmaintenance
General maintenance should be performedafterabout500000 strokes or once every three years. The tool
mustbecompletellydisassembledandallsealsandwornpartsmustbereplaced.Thisrepairmaybecarried
outbyanauthorizedtechnicianonlyorapersontrainedbythemanufacturerorsupplier.

7.OPERATIONSANDWARRANTYCONDITIONS
7.1.Operationconditions
Forreliablefunctionofthetoolwerecommendtousetreatedcompressedair.Treatedcompressedairmeans
compressed atmospheric air bare of solid particles and water, reduced to required pressure and lubricated
withanti‐corrosiveoil.Immediatelybeforethetooltheremustbearegulationvalvesettomaximum outlet
pressureof0,7MPa,airfilterandlubricationinthecircuitofcompressedair.
Sound‐pressure level of impulse noise LpAIdoesnotexceed85dB(A),stillitisrecommendedtouseear
protectorsduringcontinuousandlong‐termoperation.Averageoverallvibrationtotaleffectivevalue
ahv,8h=1,5m.s‐2.
Thetriggerenablessafecontrol ofthetoolwith aforce max. 10 N<50Nwithoutreleasingthegrip‐handle
accordingtothehealthregulation.
7.2.Warrantyconditions
Forreliableandsafefunctionofthetoolitisnecessarytoadheretoinstructionsandprinciplesstatedabove.
For the warranty periodthecustomermustnotperformanyalterationsotherthan thosepermitted bythe
manufacturer, see paragraph 2.1, 3.1, 3.2. Other non‐detachablepartsaresecuredwithpaint.Incaseof
neglecting this protection the manufacturer shall not admit possible warranty repairs. To admit warranty
repair the customer must submit confirmed warranty certificate ofthetool,Certificateofqualityand
completenessorproofofpurchase.Thewarrantyperiodis24monthsfromthedayofpurchaseconfirmedin
theWarrantycertificateifthepurchasecontractdoesnotstateotherwise.
