usage instructions
The following instructions apply both for the irst setup of
the lamp and a later maintenance.
Caution: Before installing and whenever
maintaining the lamp, ensure that the power line is
disconnected!
Attention: The L1 lamp can only run with a
grounded power outlet. Please make sure your
power connection provides a grounding.
Please be careful when children are present.
Bumping into the lamp may cause the lamp to fall
and cause injury.

The touch sensor of the L1 lamp calibrates automatically
whenever the device gets connected to the power line.
To ensure the sensor works properly the lamp might not
be touched while inserting the power plug and and for 4
seconds after that.

In case the sensor function is impaired, please unplug the
device and wait for 4 seconds before you plug it in again
without touching the housing.

the sensor
The technological key component of the L1 is a custom-
built capacitive sensor that registers touches on the
surface of the lamp – a functionality similar to the one of
smartphone touch screens.
Connecting such a sensor to the long metal housing,
makes the L1 switchable with a single touch.
However, this also means that the L1 is a highly sensitive
object.
Even though we tweaked the sensor for this application,
it can occur, that the L1 reacts dierently when touched
by persons with dierent skin conductance. In certain
circumstances it can also occur that the L1 is impaired by
other electromagnetic ields in its environment.
Shall such impairments occur, please try to reset the
sensor as described on page 10. It can also help to change
the position of the lamp or other electronic devices
nearby.

The safety of this lamp can only be guaranteed if these instructions are observed,
during both installation and use. Please retain these safety instructions.
REMARKS
~ When installing and whenever maintaining the appliance, ensure that the power
supply has been switched o.
~ The appliance may not be modiied or tampered with in any way. Any modiication
may compromise safety causing the appliance to become dangerous. rlon declines
all responsibility for products that are modiied.
~ Should the external trailing cable get damaged, it must be replaced by rlon or by
qualiied personnel in order to avoid any danger.
~ Should the LED illuminant get damaged, it must be replaced by rlon in order to avoid
any danger.
~ The product must be thrown out unlike urban trashes.

Use only a soft cloth to clean the appliance, dampened with water and soap. Before
cleaning the appliance, ensure that the power supply has been switched o.

ACHTUNG!
Wir garantieren nur dann für die Sicherheit der Leuchte, wenn diese Anweisungen
sowohl bei der Installation als auch beim Gebrauch genau beachtet werden. Bitte
bewahren Sie diese Anweisungen auf.
BEMERKUNGEN
~ Bei der Installation und bei Eingrien an der Leuchte ist sicherzustellen, daß die
Anlage vom Netz abgeschaltet ist.
~ Der Apparat darf auf keinen Fall verändert oder unerlaubt geönet werden. Jede
Veränderung desselben kann die Sicherheit in Frage stellen und somit gefährlich
werden. rlon lehnt jede Verantwortung für unsachgemäß behandelte Produkte ab.
~ Falls das lexible äußere Kabel oder das LED Leuchtmittel beschädigt wird, muß es
von rlon ersetzt werden, um Gefahren zu vermeiden.
~ Das Produkt muss getrennt vom Stadtmüll entsorgt werden.
ACHTUNG!
~ Der Touch-Sensor der Leuchte kalibriert sich automatisch nachdem die Leuchte
ans Netz angeschlossen wird. Um die Funktion des Sensor zu gewähren, darf das
Gehäuse der Leuchte beim Einstecken des Netzsteckers und in den ersten
4 Sekunden danach nicht berührt werden.
~ Sollte die Touch-Funktion beeinträchtigt sein, entfernen Sie bitte den Netzstecker,
warten 4 Sekunden ab und schließen den Stecker wieder an ohne dabei das Gehäuse
der Leuchte zu berühren.
~ Lassen Sie Kinder nicht in die Nähe der Leuchte. rlon lehnt jeder Verantwortung
für Schäden ab, die dadurch entstanden sind, dass Kinder mit der Leuchte gespielt
haben oder diese umgeworfen haben.
ACHTUNG!
Die Leuchte kann nur mit geerdetem Netzstecker betrieben werden.
Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass ihre Netzleitung über eine Erdung verfügt.
REINIGUNGSVORSCHRIFTEN
Bei der Reinigung der Leuchte bitte ausschließlich weiche Tücher verwenden und diese
mit Wasser und Seife anfeuchten. Stellen Sie vor jeder Reinigung sicher, daß die Anlage
vom Netz getrennt ist.
