Thank you for purchasing a Rocksteady XS
Bluetooth Speaker.
I hope you enjoy it, please use it every day.
*** READ FIRST ***
1. For best results, please fully charge your
Rocksteady XS battery fully prior to storing it for a
long periods of time. Please do not store it with the
battery fully drained.
2. Charge the battery fully while the unit is off
before first use (see Charging your Rocksteady XS
on Page 5).
3. When pairing for the first time to a new device,
you must wait for the tones after 30 seconds (see
Bluetooth® Pairing on Page 6).

Charging Your Rocksteady XS
It is extremely important to fully charge your
Rocksteady XS before initial use. The Rocksteady
XS charges via the Micro-USB port. 5.0-5.3 volt
chargers operating up to 2.1 Amps are supported
(car or wall chargers).
1. For best results, always use the charger
supplied.
2. Connect charger to Rocksteady XS and allow
sufficient time to fully charge.
3. Charging is complete when LED light on the
base turns off completely.
LED Light
The base of the Rocksteady XS contains LED lights
which communicates the status of the device.
Solid Blue –Rocksteady XS is on and ready to play
Flashing Blue –Rocksteady XS is on and is in
Bluetooth®* mode (fast flash is reconnection
mode, slower flash is in search mode)

Solid Red –Rocksteady XS is OFF, plugged in and
charging
Solid Purple –The Rocksteady XS is charging and is
on, ready to play.
Plugged in, OFF, and No Light –Rocksteady XS is
done charging
How to Connect to Bluetooth®
First time or new device:
1. Ensure that no other previously paired device is
in range or has Bluetooth enabled.
2. Turn on the Rocksteady XS and wait for the
tone after 30 seconds.
3. On your source device, enable Bluetooth and
under settings, scan for available devices.
4. Select the Rocksteady XS from the list of
available devices.

Reconnecting your device:
1. Turn on the Rocksteady XS.
2. Most devices will automatically reconnect (The
Rocksteady XS recalls the last 4 paired devices).
3. If your device does not connect automatically,
select Rocksteady XS from the Bluetooth settings
menu of available devices.
How to Play Music from USB Drive
1. Turn on Rocksteady XS.
2. Press mode once to enter into USB play mode.
3. Music will play. Control track from the buttons
on the Rocksteady XS
How to Play Music via 3.5mm Cable
1. Plug in 3.5mm cable (included) from your device
to “Line In” on back of Rocksteady XS.
2. Turn on Rocksteady XS.

3. Press mode once to enter into Line In mode.
4. Play Music. Control music from your source
device.
Speakerphone
1. While connected to the Rocksteady XS via
Bluetooth, answer an incoming call by tapping the
Play/Pause button on the front of the Rocksteady
XS.
2. Control the volume from the Rocksteady XS and
from the source device for best results.
2. To hang up, press the Play button again.
Simultaneous Bluetooth® Connectivity
The Rocksteady XS is able to connect 2 source
devices simultaneously.
Following the connecting instructions on pages 6 of
this manual, turn on the Rocksteady XS with your 2
devices on and in Bluetooth mode.

On both devices, follow the reconnecting
instructions on page 7 of this manual.
The Rocksteady XS will play music from one device
at a time. Pausing the stream from one device and
playing from the other device will act as a toggle to
the Rocksteady XS.
The Rocksteady XS can recall the last 4 devices
paired to it. The order they were paired will
determine it priority in reconnecting.
Troubleshooting Bluetooth®
Unable to Pair to Bluetooth® device
1. Make sure the source device has Bluetooth®*
capability.
2. If pairing with multiple devices present, connect
only one device at a time with other paired devices
out of range or disabled.
3. Make sure the Rocksteady XS is powered to the
“On” position.
4. Reboot your Bluetooth® source device, and
power off and on your Rocksteady XS.
5. Newer Bluetooth® devices will not require a pin.
Should a pin be prompted, enter 0000.

Party Mode
Party Mode is when two devices are connected to
the Rocksteady XS at the same time. To do this,
turn the Rocksteady XS on. If it detects two
previously paired devices, it will connect to both.
From there, the Rocksteady XS can switch from one
device to the other seamlessly and quickly. Give it a
go!
Troubleshooting Bluetooth®
Unable to Pair to Bluetooth® device

Exposure of the Rocksteady XS speaker to moisture could result
in electric shock or product failure.
• Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform,
puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign
objects in to the Rocksteady XS speaker.
Such actions could result in electric shock or product failure.
• Clean the Rocksteady XS speaker only with a dry cloth.
• Do not expose your Rocksteady XS speaker to extremely high
or low temperatures.
• Do not leave your Rocksteady XS speaker in direct sunlight for
extended periods of time.
• Do not leave your Rocksteady XS speaker near open flames
such as cooking burners, candles, or fireplaces.
Battery/Charger Hazard
• Do not dispose of your Battery/Charger in the trash. Please
dispose at a certified recycling center.
• Do not dispose of your Rocksteady XS in a fire. The battery
could explode causing injury or death.
• Only charge the battery in accordance with the user
instructions supplied with the Rocksteady XS.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the Rocksteady XS charger or
force open the built-in battery.
• Do not charge the Rocksteady XS in damp areas or in
extremely high or low temperatures.
• Do not clean the Rocksteady XS when it is being charged.
Always unplug the charger pryor to cleaning.

Killer Concepts, LLC, warrants this product to be
free from defects in workmanship and materials,
under normal use and conditions, for a period of
365 days from the date of original purchase.

NOTE: This warranty is valid only if the product is used for the purpose
for which it was designed. It does not cover (i) products which have been
damaged by negligence or willful actions, misuse or accident, or which
have been modified or repaired by unauthorized persons; (ii) cracked or
broken cabinets, or units damaged by excessive heat; (iii) damage to
digital media players, CD’s or tape cassettes (if applicable); (iv) the cost
of shipping this product to the Factory Service Center and its return to the
