Locate the control panel shown above. This is found at the bottom of the panel, below the
ROMPA®label:
SWITCH ACTIVATION
The round socket furthest left is a jack socket (labelled ‘Switch Mode’) to allow you to connect
a switch e.g. a One Button Switch Box. If using a switch with this product, flip the rocker
switch (labelled ‘Switch Mode’ and ‘Sound Mode’) to Switch Mode.
Connect your switch by putting the jack plug of the switch into the round jack socket labelled
“Switch Mode” on the very left of the control panel. The panel display will go off. A press of
the switch will start the sequence again and activate a fireworks sound. The sequence will
continue till it reaches its natural end and goes off again.
SOUND ACTIVATION
The internal microphone should not be covered or blocked.
Flip the rocker switch (labelled ‘Switch Mode’ and ‘Sound Mode’) to Sound Mode. Speak to
activate the display and a fireworks sound.
The green LED in the control panel will light up to show that the panel has been triggered by
sound. To increase the sensitivity of the microphone turn the ‘Sound Trigger Level’ dial
located on the control panel. A maximum and minimum are shown to indicate whether you
are increasing or decreasing the sensitivity. Connect the external microphone to the round
‘Mic Input’ socket on the control panel as required (an external microphone is supplied with
product and there is an internal microphone inside the panel). By connecting an external
microphone, you will override the internal microphone.
Please note: It may be necessary to spend a little time adjusting the ‘Sound Trigger Level’ dial
till you find a level of sensitivity that is most suitable. Also experiment with your proximity to
the panel –move closer as required if using the internal microphone. When activating this
panel by sound, wait until the display is no longer illuminated, then make a sound. The display
will be illuminated for a few moments till the lights go off again. The panel will not remain
illuminated till the sound ceases. This is to say that sound will activate the panel for a set
period of time –it is not momentary. The display will remain illuminated even if the sound has
stopped, until the internal colour wheel has rotated to the next dark section of the wheel, and
the display goes off.
