WARNING
•Ensure that invasive setting is used for patients that have bypassed airways.
•Use this device in ambient temperature of 18 to 26 °C. Gas inlet temperature to
the humidifier should be at least equal to the ambient temperature and at most 5°C
higher than the ambient temperature.
•The use of breathing circuits, chambers or other accessories which are not
approved by SAADAT may impair performance or compromise safety.
•Ensure that both temperature probe sensors are correctly and securely fitted.
Failure to do so may result in temperatures in excess of 41 °C being delivered to
the patient.
•Ensure maintenance of grounding integrity by connection to a“hospital grade”
receptacle. Always disconnect supply before servicing.
•When mounting a humidifier adjacent to a patient ensure that the humidifier is
always positioned lower than the patient.
•The warm-up time is a maximum of 30 minutes.
•The operation of high frequency surgical apparatus, shortwave or microwave
equipment in the vicinity of the humidifier may adversely affect its function. If
this occurs, the humidifier should be removed from the vicinity of such devices.
•Check accessories for any physical damage before use and replace if damaged.
Cleaning and disinfection
1. Disconnect the humidifier from the electrical outlet.
2. Clean the humidifier with normal dishwashing detergent or isopropyl alcohol
using a damp cloth.
3. Wipe the humidifier clear of any cleaning residues before use.
Caution
•DO NOT immerse the humidifier in any liquid. Using other solutions may
damage the humidifier.
•DO NOT autoclave or sterilize humidifier or probes.
•DO NOT use EtO gas to disinfect the humidifier.
•The breathing circuit system components and chamber are single-use, dispose of
them according to relevant regulations.
Respiratory Humidifier is intended to be used to warm and humidify
gases delivered to patients who require mechanical ventilation or other
respiratory support via a tracheal tube or face mask.
SET UP (Invasive & Non-Invasive Mode)
1. Slide humidification chamber onto humidifier base and connect breathing circuit. It is also
necessary to use a heated wire breathing tube in the inspiration path. The expiratory path can
be heated wire or with water-trap.
2. Connect the temperature probe plug to the blue socket.
3. Push the chamber probe and airway probe into the breathing circuit.
4. Connect the heater wire adaptor plug to the yellow socket on the humidifier base.
5. Connect the other end(s) of the heater wire adaptor to the breathing circuit socket(s).
6. The humidification system is now set up and ready for use. Apply the required settings.
ATTENTION: Refer to operating instructions which accompany each accessory.
SET UP (Non-Heater Wire Mode)
1. Slide humidification chamber onto humidifier base and connect breathing circuit. Use
breathing circuit which contain water-trap for both inspiratory and expiratory paths.
2. The humidification system is now set up and ready for use. Apply the required settings..

Respimo M2 Humidifier Quick Reference
Operating Modes:
Temp. Display: This display will
show the Airway temperature in Invasive
& Non-Invasive modes and Plate heating
level in Non-Heater Wire mode.
Unlock: Press the ‘Unlock’key to
give the user access to change
settings and Power off. Respimo M2
will automatically lock if no action
is taken within 10 sec.
Mute: The mute button silences the
humidifier's audible alarm for up to
two minutes. The muted time
depends on the alarm condition and
the severity of its cause.
Standby: The humidifier will
power ON if this button is held down
briefly, but must be held down for
three second to turn the humidifier
off (After Press Unlock Key).
Operating mode and temperature
settings will be saved when the
device turns off.
Temp. Display: This display will
show the chamber temperature in
Invasive & Non-Invasive modes and
Plate temperature in Non-Heater Wire
mode.
Heater Wire disconnection:
Lights if the heater wire adaptor or
breathing circuit has not been
connected, or is damaged. (Invasive &
Non-Invasive modes)
Temp. Probe disconnection:
Lights if the temperature probe is not
correctly plugged into the Respimo M2,
or the probe is faulty.(Invasive & Non-
Invasive modes)

Mode: By pressing Mode key, one
of the Invasive, Non-Invasive or
Non-Heater Wire modes can be
selected. When LED of Mode key is
on, Invasive or Non-Invasive modes
are activated corresponding to or
- indicators. If Mode key is off, the
Non-Heater Wire mode is activated
and indicator lights up.
Exclamation sign: If lights up,
contact after-sales service.
