SAG8026IC USER MANUAL
ELITE SERIES
Elite
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Saga Sound experience! We don't call this series "Elite" for nothing.
Our Elite Series audio line boast components and craftsmanship ideal for extraordinary
sound performance. You don’t have to spare design for quality with the Elite Series.
The discrete, compact format of this speaker makes it ideal for many applications where
traditional speakers would be impractical or impossible. In-ceiling speakers are designed
so that the ceiling and the space behind them actually become the speaker cabinet.
Mounted flush to the wall or ceiling, they require absolutely no floor space. The frames and
grilles may be painted to blend with any decor.

INSTALLATION
This speaker features classic “dog ear” mounting tabs. Simply screw the tabs down to
keep the speaker in place. Allow at least 1½” of clearance between the cut out and any
studs or joists for the mounting hardware to work properly. A mounting depth of 3.46”
measured from the face of the wall is also required. The speaker location and associated
mounting hardware should not conflict with any existing wires or pipes.
Determine the
desired speaker
placement and trace
around the included
cut-out template.
Using a Phillips
screwdriver tighten
the mounting tabs
until the speaker is
secured in place.
Finish the speaker
installation by
placing the magnetic
grille on the speaker.
Be sure to attach the
speaker wire to the
proper terminals.
Use a drywall saw or
hole saw to cut the
hole for the speaker.
Push the speaker
into place and make
any necessary final
adjustments.
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. AVOID USING A DRILL TO PREVENT DAMAGING THE MOUNTING TABS.

CONNECTION
When connecting your in-ceiling speaker, it is very important to retain the correct polarity.
To do this, be sure that the wire attached to the "+" , red, positive, or hot terminal on
the speaker connects to the "+", red, positive or hot terminal on the source component.
Similarly, the "-", black, negative or ground terminal on the speaker must connect to
the respective "-", black, negative or ground terminal on the source component.
