Samsung HT-BD2E User manual

1. Insert a disc into the disc slot.
Insert a disc so that the label side faces upward.
Playback starts automatically.
2. To eject the disc, press the EJECT button.
When you stop disc play, the player remembers where you
stopped, so when you press PLAY/PAUSE (_) button again,
it will pick up where you left off.
Press the STOP (_}) button twice during playback to disable the
Resume function.
To pause the playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE ({_}})button
during playback. Toresume,pressthePLAY/PAUSE(_)buttononce
again.

2. Insert the black wire into the black terminal (-) and the red wireinto the red (+)terminal,
and then release the tab.
3. Connect the connecting plugs to the back ofthe Bin-ray Home Theaterby matching the

W _ Do not let children play with or near the speakers. They could get hurt ifa speaker falls.
_ When connecting the speaker wires to the speakers, make sure that the polarity (+/-) is correct.
_ Keep the subwoofer speaker out of reach of children so as to prevent children from inserting their hands or alien
substances into the duct (hole) of the subwoofer speaker.
_ Do not hang the subwoofer on the wall through the duct (hole).
_ If you place a speaker near your TV set, screen color may be distorted because of the magnetic field generated
by the speaker. If this occurs, place the speaker away from your TV set.

Connect the HDMI cable(not supplied) from the HDMIOUT jack on the back of the Blu-ray HomeTheater to the HDMI INjack on your TV.
METHOD 2 ° Component Video
Ifyour television is equipped with Component Video inputs, connect a Component video cable(notsupplied) from the Component Video
Output (Pr, Pb andY)Jacks on the backof the Blu-ray Home Theater to the Component Video Input Jacks on your TV.
METHOD 3 ° Composite Video
Connect the supplied Video cable from the VIDEO OUT jack on the back of the Blu-ray Home Theater to the VIDEO IN jack on your TV.
Dependingon your TV, certain HDMIoutput resolutionsmay not work.
Ifan HDMI cable isconnected from the playerto a TV, the Blu-ray HomeTheater's output isset to
HDMIautomaticallywithin 10 seconds.
_ IfComponent and HDMIare both connected, HDMI mode is automaticallyselected.
_ When you connect the playerto the TV usingthe HDMI cablefor the first time or to a new TV, the
HDMIoutput resolutionwill be automaticallyset to the highest providedby theTV.
_ Ifyou connect a SamsungTVto the Blu-ray HomeTheater usingan HDMIcable,the playercan be easily
operated usingthe TV remote control.
(Thisis onlyavailablewith SamsungTVs that support the Anynet+ feature.)
_ Ifthe HDMIcable isconnected or removed duringplayback ofa CDDA, MP3 orJPEGfile, the playerwill stop
playing.
_ After making the video connection, set theVideo input source on yourTV to match the CorrespondingVideo
output (HDMI,Component or Composite)on your Hometheater.
Seeyour TV owner's manualfor more information on howto select the TV's Video Input source.
_ The actual resolutionmay differfrom the setting inthe SETUPmenu if both Component and HDMI cables are
connected. The resolution mayalso be differentdepending on the disc.
_ Ifthe resolutionissetto 'i' (ex:480i or 1080i),the outputisdisplayedin 30 framespersecond and ifsetto 'p'
(ex:480p, 720p, 1080p),it will be displayedin 60 framespersecond.

Digital signal components such as a Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box).
1. Connect the Digital Input
(OPTICAL1 or OPTICAL 2) on the
Blu-ray Home Theaterto the DigitalOutput of
the externaldigital component.
2. Press the D.IN button on the remote control
to select D.IN 1 or D.IN 2 input.
• You can also use the FUNCTION button
on the main unit.

_ To see video from your Cable Box/Satellite receiver, you must connect it's video output to a TV.
Connecting the FM Antenna
1. Connect the FM antennasupplied to the FM 750 COAXIAL Jack.
2. Slowly move the antenna wire around until you find a location where reception is good, then fasten it to a wall or other rigid
surface.

Listening to Radio
Remote Control
1. Press the TUNER button to select the FM band.
2. Tune in to the desired station.
• Automatic Tuning 1 : When the SKIP (QG) button is pressed, a preset broadcast station is selected.
• Automatic Tuning 2 : Press and hold the
TUNING/OH (@@)button to automaticallysearchfor activebroadcastingstations.
,, Manual Tuning : Briefly press the TUNING/OH (@@) button to increase or decrease the frequency incrementally.

Select a broadcast station.
• Automatic Tuning 1: Press the STOP ((,}) button to select PRESET and then press the SKIP (O@) button to select
the preset station.
• Automatic Tuning 2 : Press the STOP (.(._)button to select MANUAL and then press and hold the
SKIP ( @ @) button to automatically search the band.
• Manual Tuning : Press theSTOP ((_) button to select MANUAL and then briefly press the SKIP (QQ) button to tune
into a lower or higher frequency.
