VOORAFGAAND AAN HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
•Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos.
Verwijder de stickers, de beschermfolie of het plastic van
het apparaat.
•Plaats het apparaat op een vlakke, stabiele ondergrond.
Zorg voor minimaal 10 cm vrije ruimte rondom het
apparaat. Dit apparaat is niet geschikt voor inbouw of
gebruik buitenshuis.
•Sluit het netsnoer aan op het stopcontact. (Let op: Zorg
er voor het aansluiten van het apparaat voor dat het op
het apparaat aangegeven voltage overeenkomt met de
plaatselijke netspanning.)
•Laat het apparaat eerst 2 of 3 maal met zuiver water
doorlopen (zonder koffie). Is het water doorgelopen,
schakel dan het apparaat uit en laat het 5 minuten
afkoelen. Herhaal vervolgens de procedure met zuiver
water.
GEBRUIK
De klok instellen
•Druk op de HOUR-knop en vervolgens op de MIN-
knop om de huidige tijd in te stellen. Houd de knoppen
ingedrukt om snel door de waarden te lopen. Wanneer
het weergegeven getal in de buurt komt van de
gewenste waarde, drukt u de knop in en laat u deze los
om één getal per keer vooruit te gaan.
Koffiezetten
•Doe het bovenste deksel omhoog en vul het
waterreservoir met water:
- 250 ml water (8 oz streep in waterreservoir) voor een
1/2 gevulde drinkbeker.
- 300 ml water (10 oz streep in waterreservoir) voor
een 3/4 gevulde drinkbeker.
- 400 ml water (14 oz streep in waterreservoir) voor een
volle drinkbeker.
•Voor 1/2 drinkbeker (8 oz), gebruik ongeveer 18
gram filterkoffie, ongeveer 22 gram voor 3/4 (10 oz)
drinkbeker en ongeveer 30 gram filterkoffie voor een
volle drinkbeker koffie. U kunt de sterke van de koffie
aanpassen afhankelijk van uw persoonlijke voorkeur.
Een afgestreken eetlepel komt overeen met ongeveer 10
gram filterkoffie.

•LET OP: Open het bovenste deksel nooit tijdens het
koffiezetten, zelfs als er geen water door de trechter
loopt. Er kan gloeiend heet water of gloeiend hete koffie
uit het filter lopen en dit kan letsel veroorzaken. Als er
geen water/koffie door de trechter loopt, haalt u de
stekker van het apparaat meteen uit het stopcontact.
Wacht 10 minuten voordat u het apparaat opent en het
filter controleert.
•Laat alle koffie van de bereidingskamer naar de
drinkbeker lopen voordat u de drinkbeker verwijdert.
•Opmerking: aangezien de filterkoffie een deel van
het water absorbeert tijdens het koffiezetproces, is
de hoeveelheid gezette koffie enigszins lager dan de
hoeveelheid water die in het reservoir is gedaan.
•Als u nog een beker koffie wilt zetten, moet u ongeveer
5 minuten wachten nadat het indicatielampje is
uitgegaan om het koffiezetapparaat helemaal te laten
afkoelen. Spoel de drinkbeker en het herbruikbare filter
schoon met water. Herhaal het koffiezetproces.
•Als u klaar bent met koffiezetten, verwijdert u de stekker
uit het stopcontact.
•WAARSCHUWING: Als u het koffiezetapparaat niet
geheel laat afkoelen voordat u het opnieuw gebruikt,
kan het water in het reservoir oververhit raken. Er kan
dan stoom ontsnappen, waardoor er een risico op

in het filter. Wacht een paar minuten zodat de rest van
de vloeistof door het filter in de drinkbeker kan lopen.
•Nadat de filterkoffie is afgekoeld, opent u het
bovenste deksel en verwijdert u voorzichtig het filter
door het handvat te pakken en het filter recht uit het

Tips
•Voor sterkere of mildere koffie kunt u de hoeveelheid
filterkoffie naar wens verhogen of verlagen.
•Bewaar ongebruikte filterkoffie op een koele, droge
locatie. Nadat u een pak filterkoffie hebt geopend, moet
u het weer goed afsluiten.
•Gebruik filterkoffie niet opnieuw. Hergebruikte filterkoffie
geeft veel minder smaak af.
•Voor de beste koffiesmaak koopt u hele koffiebonen en
maalt u deze vlak voordat u gaat koffiezetten.

Het koffiezetapparaat programmeren
•Als u de gewenste begintijd voor automatisch
koffiezetten wilt instellen, drukt u eerst op de
programmeerknop. Stel vervolgens de tijd in waarop het
koffiezetten moet beginnen. Gebruik hiervoor de HOUR-
en MIN- knoppen op dezelfde manier als toen u de tijd
instelde.
•Nadat u de tijd hebt ingesteld, wordt het woord 'auto'
weergegeven op het lcd-scherm.
•Het koffiezetapparaat begint automatisch te werken
op de vooraf ingestelde tijd. Wanneer het koffiezetten
begint, gaat het indicatielampje branden om aan te
geven dat het koffiezetapparaat in werking is.
•Houd de programmeerknop ongeveer 3 seconden
ingedrukt om de voorinstellingsmodus te annuleren.

MILIEU
Dit apparaat mag aan het einde van de levensduur
niet bij het normale huisafval worden gedeponeerd,
maar moet bij een speciaal inzamelpunt voor
hergebruik van elektrische en elektronische apparaten
worden aangeboden. Het symbool op het apparaat, in
de gebruiksaanwijzing en op de verpakking attendeert u
hierop. De in het apparaat gebruikte materialen kunnen
worden gerecycled. Met het recyclen van gebruikte
huishoudelijke apparaten levert u een belangrijke bijdrage
aan de bescherming van ons milieu. Informeer bij uw
lokale overheid naar het inzamelpunt.

REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
•Verwijder altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat
het apparaat volledig afkoelen voordat u het reinigt of
opbergt.
•Plaats de drinkbeker, het deksel van de drinkbeker en
de trechter voor reiniging in het bovenste rek van een
vaatwasmachine. U kunt deze onderdelen ook reinigen
in warm water met wat afwasmiddel. Het herbruikbare
filter moet met de hand worden gewassen.
•OPMERKING: De onderdelen kunnen er wat vaal uitzien
als u ze in een vaatwasmachine reinigt. Herstel de glans
door ze met een zachte, droge doek op te wrijven.
•Poets de buitenkant van het koffiezetapparaat met een
zachte, vochtige doek. Gebruik geen metaalsponsjes of
schurende schoonmaakmiddelen.
•Verwijder mineraalresten om ervoor te zorgen dat
het koffiezetapparaat goed blijft werken. Gebruik ten
minste één keer per maand schoonmaakazijn om
mineraalresten uit het apparaat te verwijderen. Als
het water in uw regio zeer mineraalrijk is, moet u het
apparaat elke twee weken reinigen.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
•Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove
the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
•Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a
minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This
device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for
outside use.
•Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure
the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the
local voltage before connecting the device.)
•For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boil processes with
fresh water (without coffee). Once all the water has
passed through, switch the appliance off and let it cool
down during 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with
fresh water.
USE
Setting the clock
•Press the hour (HOUR) and then the minute (MIN)
buttons to set the current time. Press and hold the
buttons to scroll through numbers quickly. When the
number displayed approaches the desired setting, press
and release the button to advance one digit at a time.
Brewing coffee
•Lift the top lid and fill the water tank with water:
- 250 ml water (8 oz mark in water tank) for a half-
filled drinking cup.
- 300 ml water (10 oz mark in water tank) for 3/4 filled
drinking cup.
- 400 ml water (14 oz mark in water tank) for a full
drinking cup.
•For a half-full drinking cup (8 oz), use about 18 grams of
filter coffee, about 22 grams for 3/4 cup (10 oz) and 30
grams of coffee for a full drinking cup (14 oz). You can
adjust the strength of the coffee according to personal
taste. A level tablespoon is approximately 10 grams of
coffee.
•Gently shake the filter to distribute the coffee evenly.

•Place the reusable filter into the filter basket and place
the filter basket into the brewing chamber:
•Close the top lid.
•Place the drinking cup into the base. Make sure the
drinking hole on the lid is open.
•Press the on/off button. The indicator light will light up
to indicate the brew cycle has started.
•When the brewing process ends and the indicator light
goes out, there will still be hot liquid in the filter. Wait a
few minutes for the rest of the liquid to drip through into
the cup.
•After coffee grounds have cooled, open the top cover
and carefully remove the filter by grasping the handle
and lifting straight up from the filter basket.
•Discard the used coffee grounds, the coffee grounds
may be composted.
•CAUTION: Never open the top cover during the brewing
cycle; even if no water is draining from the funnel.
Extremely hot water/coffee can spill out from the basket
and cause injury. If water/coffee is not draining from the
filter basket, immediately unplug the unit and wait 10
minutes before opening and checking the filter.
•Allow all the coffee to drip from the brewing chamber
into the drinking cup before removing the cup.
•Note: since coffee grounds absorb some water during
brewing , the amount of brewed coffee will be slightly
less than the amount of water put into the reservoir.
•To brew another mug of coffee, allow the coffeemaker
to completely cool (about five minutes) after the
indicator light has shut off. Rinse the drinking cup
and the reusable filter with water. Repeat the brewing
procedure.
•When all brewing is complete, unplug the power cord
from the electrical outlet.
•WARNING: If the coffee maker does not cool completely
before reuse, water in the reservoir may overheat. This
can cause steam to escape, resulting in risk of burns
and/or personal injury.
•NOTICE: If a new coffee-making cycle is started before
the coffee maker has cooled down, this may result in an
incomplete cycle. The device then uses a thermal reset
switch to prevent overheating and is may shut down.

Programming the coffee maker
•To set the desired auto brew start time, first press the
program button. Next set the time you want coffee
to begin brewing by using the hour and min-buttons
following the same directions for setting the clock.
•After setting the time the word auto will be displayed on
the lcd display.
•The coffee maker will automatically begin brewing
at the pre-set time. When the brew cycle begins, the
indicator light will come on to indicate the coffee maker
is in operation.
•Press the program button about 3 seconds if you want
to cancel the pre- set mode.
Tips
•For stronger or milder coffee, increase or decrease the
amount of coffee grounds to suit your taste.
•Store unused coffee grounds in a cool, dry place. After
opening a package of coffee grounds, tightly reseal it.
•Do not reuse coffee grounds; this greatly reduces the
coffee's flavor.
•For optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and
finely grind them just before brewing.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•Always unplug the power cord from the electrical
outlet and allow the product to cool completely before
cleaning or storing.
•The mug, mug lid, and filter basket may be placed on
the upper rack of a dishwasher for cleaning or hand
washed in warm, soapy water. The reusable filter must
be washed by hand.
•NOTE: When washed in a dishwasher, the parts may
appear to fade. Restore by polishing them with a soft,
dry cloth..
•Wipe the exterior surface of the coffee maker with a
soft, damp cloth. Do not use metal scouring pads or
abrasive cleaners.
•To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently please
descale the coffee maker. At least once a month if
you use hard water (over 14dH) or every two months if
you use soft or filtered water (up to 14dH). Use a water
and vinegar household cleaning solution or any liquid
descaling agent to prevent the buildup of scale. Let the
appliance complete two more cycles with fresh, cold
water to remove all vinegar cleaning solution. For a
liquid descaling agent, follow the instructions on the
package, but always run one cycle with fresh, cold
water.

garbage at the end of its durability, but must be

UTILISATION
Réglage de la minuterie
•Appuyez sur les boutons HOUR et puis MIN pour régler
l'heure actuelle. Appuyez et maintenez les boutons pour
faire défiler les chiffres plus rapidement. Lorsque le
nombre approche affiche le paramètre désiré, appuyez
sur le bouton et relâchez-le pour avancer d’un chiffre à
la fois.
Faire le café
•Soulever le couvercle supérieur et remplir le réservoir
d’eau avec de l’eau:
- 250 ml d'eau (bande de 8 oz dans le réservoir d'eau)
pour une 1/2 tasse remplie
- 300 ml d'eau (bande de 10 oz dans le réservoir d'eau)
pour une tasse remplie aux 3/4
- 400 ml d'eau (bande de 14 oz dans le réservoir d'eau)
pour une tasse pleine.
•Pour 1/2 tasse (8 oz), utilisez environ 18 grammes de
poudre de café finement moulu, environ 22 grammes
pour un gobelet de 3/4 (10 oz) et environ 30 grammes
de poudre de café pour une tasse de café bien remplie.
Vous pouvez régler la force du café en fonction de vos
préférences personnelles. Une cuillère à soupe nivelée
correspond à environ 10 grammes de café en poudre.
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
•Sortez l'appareil et les accessoires hors de la boîte.
Retirez les autocollants, le film protecteur ou le plastique
de l'appareil.
•Mettez l'appareil sur une surface stable plate et assurez

•Branchez le cordon d’alimentation à la prise.
(Remarque : Veillez à ce que la tension indiquée sur

connecter l'appareil.)
•Pour éliminer tout mauvais goût, effectuer 2 ou 3 cycles
de chauffe complets avec de l’eau fraîche (sans café).
Une fois que toute l’eau est passée, éteindre l’appareil
et le laisser refroidir pendant 5 minutes. Puis réitérer le
processus avec de l’eau fraîche.

Jetez le moût de café.
•ATTENTION : Ne jamais ouvrir le couvercle pendant
le cycle de préparation, même s’il n’y a pas d'eau qui
s'écoule de l'entonnoir. L'eau / le café extrêmement
chaud(e) pourrait s’écouler du porte-filtre et causer des
blessures. Si l'eau / le café ne coule pas du porte-filtre,
débranchez immédiatement l'appareil et attendez 10
minutes avant d'ouvrir et de contrôler le filtre.
•Laisser tout le café de s'écouler de la chambre de
percolation dans la tasse avant de retirer la tasse.
•Remarque : comme les grains de café absorbent une
partie de l’eau lors de la préparation, la quantité de café
sera légèrement inférieure à la quantité d'eau mise dans
le réservoir.
•Pour préparer une autre tasse de café, laissez la
cafetière refroidir complètement (environ cinq minutes)
après que le voyant soit éteint. Rincez la tasse et le filtre
réutilisable à l'eau. Répétez la procédure de préparation.
•Lorsque vous avez terminé, débranchez le cordon
d'alimentation de la prise électrique.
•AVERTISSEMENT : Si la cafetière n'a pas refroidi
complètement avant de la réutiliser, l'eau dans le
réservoir pourrait surchauffer. Cela pourrait causer une
émission de vapeur, entraînant un risque de brûlures et/
ou des blessures.
•AVIS : Si un nouveau cycle de préparation est lancé
•Agitez soigneusement le filtre pour répartir le café
uniformément.
•Placez le filtre dans l'entonnoir et placez-le dans la
chambre de cuisson:
•Fermer le capot supérieur.
•Retirez le couvercle de la tête et placez la tête dans la
base.
•Appuyez sur le bouton marche / arrêt. Le voyant
s'allume pour indiquer que la préparation du café a
commencé.•Lorsque le processus se termine et que
l'indicateur de niveau d'eau indique que le réservoir
est vide, il y a encore du liquide chaud dans le filtre.
Attendez quelques minutes pour que le reste du liquide
s'écoule dans la tasse.
•Après que les grains de café ont refroidi, ouvrez le
couvercle et retirez avec précaution le filtre en saisissant
la poignée et en le relevant à la verticale de l'entonnoir.

•Appuyez sur le bouton de programmation d'environ 3
secondes si vous souhaitez annuler le mode.
Conseils pratiques
•Pour un café plus fort ou plus doux, augmentez ou
diminuez la quantité de café à votre goût.
•Conservez les grains de café dans un endroit sec et frais.
Après l'ouverture d'un paquet de café, fermez-le bien
hermétiquement.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
•Débranchez toujours le cordon d'alimentation de la prise
électrique et laissez la cafetière refroidir complètement
avant de la nettoyer ou de la ranger.
•La tasse, le couvercle et le porte-filtre peuvent être
placés sur la grille supérieure du lave-vaisselle pour
être nettoyés, ou être lavés à la main à l'eau chaude et
savonneuse. Le filtre doit être lavé à la main.
•REMARQUE : Si vous lavez les pièces au lave-vaisselle,
elles peuvent sembler décolorées. Polissez-les alors avec
un chiffon doux et sec.
•Essuyez la surface extérieure de la cafetière avec un
chiffon doux et humide. N’utilisez pas de tampons à
récurer métalliques ni de nettoyants abrasifs.
•Pour que votre machine à café fonctionne de façon
optimale, enlevez les dépôts minéraux laissés par l'eau.
Au moins une fois par mois, utilisez une solution d'eau
et de vinaigre ménager pour empêcher l'accumulation
de dépôts minéraux. Si l'eau de votre région est
particulièrement dure, faites cela toutes les deux
semaines.
