Wiring
Having correctly identified the wiring from your existing light fitting, pull the wire through the hole and connect to the
connection block inside the product in the following way:
Check that...
• You have correctly identified the wires.
• The connections are tight.
• No loose strands have been left out of the connection
block.
• When completed, ensure that there are no bare or
loose strands of wire exposed, and cover all exposed
areas of the connection block with 2 layers of
insulation tape.

commencing any work.
This light fitting should be connected to a fused
circuit.
Choose a suitable location for installing the product,
away from trees, hot ventilator ducts, street lighting
and traffic, which may interfere with its operation.
Take care not to drill into any pipes or mains cables

surface using the screws and wall plugs supplied.
The screws and wall plugs supplied are suitable for
“masonry” only. Other fixings not supplied and
must be purchased.

the whole luminaire shall be replaced.

This product is not suitable for dimming.

Installation
Existing fittings must be completely removed before installation of a new product. Before removing the
existing fitting, carefully note the position of each set of wires.
•Note that the power needs to be isolated/switched off at the fuse board.
•We recommend connecting this PIR product to an external / wall switch in order to deactivate the
motion detection function if necessary
•Follow the diagram below to install the product.
•This product is rated IP44 ((definition e.g. splash
proof / rain proof etc). It is suitable for use outdoors
but should not be immersed in water / sited in areas
likely to be heavily splashed, either from above or
below, or subjected to standing water.

If replacing an existing fitting, make a careful note of
the connections.
Always avoid the product to be located at corrosive
environment.
Cables must be protected using suitable conduit or
plastic trunking.

PIR sensor (79205)
•The unit must be installed in a vertical position, and fitted 1.8m-2.5m above the ground.
•The detection angle is set at 120 degrees. The duration that the lamp stays on can also
be altered from (4±1) minutes.
