Achtung!
1. Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen starken Stößen aus oder lassen Sie es nicht aus
großer Höhe fallen.
2. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht in sehr heißer, kalter, staubiger oder feuchter
Umgebung. Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht direktem Sonnenlicht aus.
3. Sichern Sie die Daten in regelmäßigen Abständen, um ungewollten Datenverlust zu
verhindern.
4. Vermeiden Sie das Gerät starken magnetischen Feldern auszusetzen.
5. Halten Sie das Gerät von Wasser oder anderen Flüssigkeiten fern. Im Falle eines
Flüssigkeitseintritts in das Gerät, schalten Sie es umgehend aus, entfernen Sie die
Batterien und reinigen Sie das Gerät.
6. Verwenden Sie keine chemischen Lösungsmittel für die Reinigung des Gerätes um
Beschädigungen bzw. Korrosion zu vermeiden. Benutzen Sie hierfür ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch.
7. Für Beschädigungen oder Datenverlust aufgrund von Fehlfunktionen,
Fehlbedienung, Reparaturarbeiten oder Batteriewechseln wird keine Verantwortung
übernommen.
8. Vermeiden Sie jeden Versuch das Gerät selbst zu öffnen, zu reparieren oder zu
modifizieren. Bei Zuwiderhandlung gehen gänzliche Garantieansprüche verloren.
9. Das Design des Gerätes oder des Display kann von den in dieser Anleitung
vorliegenden Abbildungen abweichen. Diese Abweichungen unterliegen dem
aktuellen Design des Gerätes.

4 Erster Gebrauch
4.1 Verbindung zum PC und übertragen von Musik
Für Windows 98/SE ist es notwendig, dass Sie die mitgelieferten Treiber vor dem ersten
Anschluß an den PC installieren. Für detaillierte Informationen bezüglich der Treiber
Installation, lesen Sie bitte das Kapitel “Treiber Installation”.
Dieser MP3 Player stellt ein Plug&Play Gerät für die Betriebssysteme WIN2000/XP/ME
dar. Somit ist es nicht notwendig entsprechende Treiber zu installieren. Sie müssen
lediglich das Gerät mit dem PC verbinden von dem es automatisch erkannt wird und
somit Musik Dateien auf das Gerät folgendermaßen laden können:
(1) Entfernen Sie die Abdeckung des USB Anschlusses.
(2) Verbinden Sie den USB Anschluß des Player mittels USB Kabel mit dem USB
Anschluß des PC.
(3) Wenn Sie den Ordner “Arbeitsplatz” auf dem PC öffnen, befindet sich dort ein
“Wechseldatenträger/USB-Speicher” der den MP3 repräsentiert. Nun können Sie
auf diesem Laufwerk Musik speichern als auch löschen.
4.2 Sicheres entfernen des Player vom PC
Für Windows2000/XP:
(1) Linke Maustaste Doppelklick auf das Symbol auf der rechten Seite der Taskbar.
(2) Wählen Sie “Beenden des Wechseldatenträger – Laufwerk (X) [Stop the USB Mass
Storage Device – Drive (X)]” aus.
(3) Trennen Sie den MP3 Player vom PC wenn Sie dazu aufgefordert werden.
Für Win98 vergewissern Sie sich bitte, dass der Datentransfer abgeschlossen ist bevor
Sie das Gerät vom PC trennen.

4.3Einlegen der Batterien
(1) Entfernen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel in Richtung des aufgedruckten Pfeils.
(2) Legen Sie eine AAA-Batterie mit korrekter Polarität ein.
(3) Setzen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel wieder ein.

8 Erweiterte Funktionen
zFolder Navigation Modus
Drücken Sie im Musik oder Sprach-Modus das Control Wheel und halten Sie dieses
gedrückt um in den Folder/Ordner Navigation Modus zu gelangen.
Bewegen Sie das Control Wheel auf- oder abwärts um die entsprechenden Folder
auszuwählen.
Durch drücken des Control Wheel oder der V+ Taste öffnen Sie den ausgewählten
Folder.
Drücken Sie das Control Wheel um den ausgewählten Titel abzuspielen.
Betätigen Sie V- Taste um den entsprechenden Folder zu schließen.
zBedienung des Menü
Durch kurzes drücken der Taste gelangen Sie ins Hauptmenü.
Bewegen sie das Control Wheel auf- oder abwärts um einen Menüpunkt

anzuwählen und drücken Sie das Control Wheel zur Bestätigung.
Durch drücken der Taste gelangen Sie wieder ins vorhergehenden Menüpunkt.
Dies geschieht automatisch wenn einige Sekunden keine Eingabe geschieht.
Um das Hauptmenü zu verlassen wählen sie “Return/Zurück” und drücken Sie
zur Bestätigung. Dies geschieht automatisch wenn einige Sekunden keine Eingabe
geschieht.
zA-B Wiederholung
Zur Wiederholung eines definierten Abschnittes eines aktuellen Titels
(1) Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die A-B Taste um den Startpunkt
festzulegen. “A-“ erscheint auf dem Display.
(2) Drücken Sie A-B Taste erneut um den gewünschten Endpunkt der
Wiederholung festzulegen. “A-B” erscheint auf dem Display. Der ausgewählte
Abschnitt zwischen Anfangs- und Endpunkt wird wiederholt abgespielt.
(3) Um die Wiederholungsfunktion zu beenden betätigen Sie kurz die A-B Taste.
zAuswahl der Wiedergabefunktionen
Sie können zwischen folgenden Wiedergabefunktionen wählen:
Normal – Sequentielle Wiedergabe aller Titel im aktuellen Folder
Repeat One/Wiederholen 1 – Wiederholung des ausgewählten Titels
Repeat All/Wiederholen Alle – Wiederholung aller Titel des Player
Folder/Ordner – Wiedergabe aller Titel im ausgewählten Folder
Shuffle – Zufällige Wiedergabe aller Titel im ausgewählten Folder
Preview/Ansicht – Anspielen der Titel für ca. 10 Sekunden aller Titel im
ausgewählten Folder
Auswahl der Wiedergabe Funktionen:
(1) Durch kurzes drücken der Taste gelangen Sie ins Hauptmenü.
(2) Wählen Sie mit dem Control Wheel die Funktion “Mode/Modus” und bestätigen
Sie durch drücken des Control Wheel.
(3) Wählen Sie die Funktion “Repeat/Wiederholen” aus und drücken Sie das
Control Wheel um die Optionen anzuzeigen.
(4) Wählen Sie den gewünschten Modus aus und drücken Sie das Control Wheel.
Alternativ können Sie auch die A-B Taste drücken und halten wenn die Wiedergabe
stoppt oder anhält um eine Wiedergabe Funktion zu wählen.
zUmschalten EQ Modus
Die Titel können mit unterschiedlichen Sound Effekten wiedergegeben werden. Das
Gerät stellt 5 EQ Funktionen zur Verfügung: Normal, Rock, Jazz, Classic and Pop.
Wählen des EQ Modus:
(1) Gehen Sie ins Hautpmenü, wählen Sie “Mode/Modus” und bestätigen Sie mit
dem Control Wheel.
(2) Wählen Sie “Equalizer” und bestätigen Sie mit dem Control Wheel um die
Funktionen anzuzeigen.
(3) Wählen Sie den gewünschten Modus aus und drücken Sie das Control Wheel.
Alternativ können Sie während der Wiedergabe auch die A-B Taste drücken und
halten um eine “Equalizer” Funktion zu wählen.
zFestlegen der Anzeigegeschwindigkeit
Die Anzeigegeschwindigkeit der ID3 Informationen (Titel, Künstler, Album etc.) ist
einstellbar.
Mithilfe der “Scroll Speed” Funktion können Sie die Geschwindigkeit auswählen.
(1) Gehen Sie ins Hautpmenü, wählen Sie “Mode/Modus” und bestätigen Sie mit
dem Control Wheel.
(2) Wählen Sie “Equalizer” und bestätigen Sie mit dem Control Wheel um die
Funktionen anzuzeigen.
(3) Bewegen Sie das Control Wheel um die Geschwindigkeit anzupassen und
bestätigen Sie mit dem Control Wheel.

zLöschen eines einzelnen Titels
(1) Drücken Sie das Control Wheel und halten Sie dieses gedrückt um in den
Folder/Ordner Navigation Modus zu gelangen.
(2) Wählen Sie den zu löschenden Titel und drücken Sie die A-B Taste um zu
löschen.
(3) Bewegen Sie den Control Wheel auf die Option “Yes/Ja” und bestätigen Sie
durch drücken des Control Wheel oder drücken Sie die Taste um
abzubrechen.
zAnzeige von Song-Texten
Um Song-Texte während der Wiedergabe anzeigen zu können müssen sie eine
Lyric-Datei mit dem selben Namen des Liedes auf den Player downloaden. Die
Dateiendung dieses Files ist “.lrc”. Diese können Sie auf diversen Websites im
Internet downloaden. Die Lyric-Datei und der Titel müssen im gleichen Verzeichnis
sein.
9 Wiedergabelisten erstellen
Sie können bevorzugte Titel aus Dateien oder Ordnern auswählen und diese in
Wiedergabelisten gruppieren. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie den audio media player
(WINAMP wird empfohlen) auf Ihrem PC installiert haben bevor Sie eine
Wiedergabeliste erstellen.
(1) Verbinden Sie den Player mit dem PC und starten Sie den WINAMP audio media
software.
(2) Wählen Sie Titel des Player aus und fügen Sie diese zu einer Wiedergabeliste des
audio media player hinzu.
(3) Klicken Sie auf “LIST DPTS” und wählen “SAVE
LIST” aus und speichern Sie die Playlist als
M3U-Datei auf dem Player.
(4) Trennen Sie die Verbindung zum PC und
schalten Sie den Player ein. Im Hauptmenü
wählen Sie die Funktion “Playlist” und drücken
Sie das Control Wheel um den M3U Modus zu
aktivieren.
(5) Wählen Sie die Playlist, die Sie erstellt haben
und bestätigen Sie mit dem Control Wheel um
sie abzuspielen.
10 Sprachaufzeichnung
zAufnahme
Für eine Sprachaufzeichnung,
(4) Wählen Sie den Sprach-Modus und betätigen
Sie kurz die A-B Taste um die Aufzeichnung zu starten.
(5) Drücken Sie das Control Wheel um die Aufzeichnung zu stoppen und zu
speichern.
Anmerkung: Sie können während der Aufnahme durch drücken der A-B Taste die
Aufzeichnung unterbrechen und durch abermaliges drücken wieder fortsetzen.
zAbspielen der Sprachaufzeichnung
Drücken Sie das Control Wheel und halten Sie dieses gedrückt um in den
Folder/Ordner Navigation Modus zu gelangen, öffnen Sie den Voice Folder/Sprache
Ordner, wählen Sie die entsprechende Datei und drücken Sie zur Bestätigung das
Control Wheel.
11 Line-in Encoding
Mithilfe der Funktion Line-In Recording/Line Aufzeichnung können Sie Audio Quellen
externer Geräte, wie z.B. CD-Player, in Musik-Dateien umwandeln und auf dem
Player speichern.
Um von externen Geräten aufzuzeichnen,
(1) Wählen Sie aus dem Hauptmenü die Funktion “Record Setting/Aufnahme

Einstellungen” und drücken Sie Control Wheel um die Funktionen anzuzeigen.
(2) Wählen Sie “Source/Quelle” und setzen Sie “Line in” als Funktion.
(3) Verbinden Sie ein Ende des Line-In Kabel mit dem Audio-Ausgang, wie z.B. der
Kopfhörerbuchse, eines externen Gerätes.
(4) Verbinden Sie das andere Ende des Line-In Kabel mit der Kopfhörerbuchse des
MP3 Player.
(5) Starten Sie den Titel auf dem externen Gerät. Wählen Sie gleichzeitig den Line
Modus auf dem Player und drücken Sie kurz die A-B Taste um aufzunehmen. Die
aufzunehmenden Titel des externen Gerätes werden als WAV oder MP3 Datei im
“LINE” Folder/Ordner abgespeichert.
(6) Durch drücken des Control Wheel wird die Aufnahme beendet. Gehen Sie zum
LINE Folder/Ordner um die aufgenommenen Titel abzuspielen.
12 Aufnahme Einstellungen
Die Aufnahmeformate und Audioquellen lassen sich vor der Aufnahme einstellen.
Wählen Sie im Hauptmenü die Funktion “Record Setting/ Aufnahme Einstellungen”
und bestätigen Sie durch drücken des Control Wheel um die Funktionen
anzuzeigen.
Auswahl der Audioquellen
In der Funktion “Source/Quelle” wählen Sie für Sprachaufnahmen über das
integrierte Mikrophon die Funktion “MIC”. Für die Aufnahme von externen Geräten
mittels des Line-In Kabel wählen sie die Funktion “Line In”.
Einstellen der Aufnahmequalität
(1) Wählen Sie “Voice Record/Sprachaufzeichnung”, “Line record/Line Aufnahme”
oder “FM Record” und drücken Sie das Control Wheel.
(2) Wählen Sie “WAV File” oder “MP3 File” und bestätigen Sie mit dem Control
Wheel. Für MP3 Dateien können Sie durch bewegen des Control Wheel die
Bitrate einstellen. Je höher die Bitrate, desto besser die Aufnahmequalität
jedoch wird auch mehr Speicher benötigt.
Einstellen des Audio Pegel
Einstellen des Pegel:
(1) Wählen Sie “Line Record” und drücken Sie das Control Wheel.
(2) Wählen Sie “Sensitivity/Audio Pegel” und drücken Sie das Control Wheel.
(3) Bewegen Sie das Control Wheel um den Audio Pegel einzustellen und
bestätigen Sie dies durch drücken des Control Wheel.
13 FM Radio Modus
Im Radio Modus können Sie innerhalb des definierten und möglichen Frequenzbandes
Radiosender empfangen.
zSendersuche
1. Automatische Suche
Bewegen Sie das Control Wheel im “Preset” Modus abwärts und halten Sie es um
die automatische Suche zu starten. “Auto Scan/Auto Suche” erscheint auf dem
Display. Das Gerät sucht nun nach allen empfangbaren Radiosendern und speichert
diese ab. Durch drücken des Control Wheel stoppen Sie den Suchlauf.
2. Manuelle Suche
(1) Drücken Sie das Control Wheel und schalten Sie auf “Jiggle/Manuell”
Modus.
(2) Bewegen Sie den Control Wheel um die gewünschte Frequenz
einzustellen.
(3) Finden Sie einen Sender mit starkem Empfangssignal, können Sie diesen
abspeichern. Für detaillierte Informationen dazu sehen Sie bitte das Kapitel
“Save Station/Sichern”.

3. Einzelsendersuche mittels automatischen Sendersuchlauf
Drücken Sie das Control Wheel und schalten Sie auf “Jiggle/Manuell” Modus,
bewegen Sie das Control Wheel abwärts und halten es um den Suchlauf zu starten.
Das Gerät sucht automatisch Sendern und stoppt bei gefundenen Sendern. Durch
drücken des Control Wheel stoppen Sie den Suchlauf.
Um den Suchlauf fortzusetzen, bewegen Sie das Control Wheel abwärts und halten
es. Der Suchlauf wird fortgesetzt und stoppt beim nächsten empfangenen Sender.
zSender speichern
Um empfangene Sender zu speichern:
(1) Suchen Sie den gewünschten Sender den Sie speichern wollen.
(2) Drücken Sie das Control Wheel und halten Sie es gedrückt um zu speichern.
(3) Um zu speichern, drücken Sie die Tasten V- oder V+ um einen Senderplatz
zu wählen. Drücken Sie das Control Wheel um den Senderplatz zu
bestätigen. Um das Speichern abzubrechen, bewegen Sie das Control
Wheel auf die Option “No/Nein” und bestätigten Sie dies.
zSendeplatz wählen
Drücken Sie das Control Wheel um zum “Preset” Modus zu gelangen und bewegen
Sie das Control Wheel um zwischen den Stationen umzuschalten.
zSendeplätze löschen
Um Sendeplätze zu löschen:
(1) Schalten Sie auf den “Preset” Modus.
(2) Schalten Sie auf den zu löschenden Sendeplatz.
(3) Drücken und halten Sie das Control Wheel um zu löschen.
(4) Drücken Sie das Control Wheel um zu bestätigen. Bewegen Sie das Control
Wheel auf “No/Nein”, wenn Sie den Löschvorgang abbrechen wollen.
zFM Aufnahme (für Modell mit FM-Tuner Aufnahme)
Sie können Radioprogramme als MP3 Dateien oder Wave Datei aufzeichnen.
Drücken Sie während eines laufenden Radioprogramms die A-B Taste um dieses
aufzuzeichnen. Für detaillierte Informationen sehen Sie bitte das Kapitel “Voice
Recording/Sprachaufzeichnung”. Die Aufnahme wird im RADIO Folder
abgespeichert. Das Aufnahmeformat und die Empfindlichkeit können vor der
Aufnahme eingestellt werden. Für detaillierte Informationen sehen Sie bitte das
Kapitel “Aufnahme Einstellungen”.
14 Benutzerdefinierte Einstellungen
Wählen Sie im Hauptmenü die Funktion “Tools/System” und drücken Sie zur Bestätigung
das Control Wheel um die Funktion Systemeinstellungen zu aktivieren.
zTimer
1 Spieldauer
Um die Zeitspanne für laufenden Wiedergabe zu definieren nach der sich das Gerät
abschalten soll, wählen Sie die Funktion “Play Time/Spieldauer” und bewegen Sie
das Control Wheel um die Zeit auszuwählen.
2. Automatische Abschaltung
Um die Zeit einzustellen, nach der sich der Player ohne Aktivitäten automatisch
abschalten soll einzustellen, wählen Sie die Funktion “Shutdown/Auto-aus” und
bewegen Sie das Control Wheel um die Zeit einzustellen.
zAnzeige
1. Beleuchtung
Um die Beleuchtungszeit einzustellen, wählen Sie “Backlight/Beleuchtung” und
bewegen Sie das Control Wheel um die Zeit einzustellen.
2. Kontrast
Um den Kontrast einzustellen, wählen Sie die Funktion “Contrast/Kontrast” und
bewegen Sie das Control Wheel um das Kontrastniveau einzustellen.
zFormatieren
Um den Player zu formatieren, verwenden Sie die “Format” Funktion.
(1) Wählen Sie die Funktion “Format” und drücken Sie das Control Wheel um
fortzufahren.
(2) Bewegen Sie das Control Wheel auf die Option “Yes/Ja” und starten Sie durch

drücken des Control Wheel die Formatierung.
Anmerkung: Es wird sehr empfohlen die “Format” Funktion des Player für die
Formatierung zu verwenden.
zSystem Information
Zeigt die System Informationen des Player wie VersionsNr., Gesamtkapazität und
verbleibende Kapazität an.
zSprache
Um die Displaysprache zu wählen, wählen Sie die Funktion “Language/Sprache”,
bewegen Sie das Control Wheel auf die gewünschte Sprache und drücken Sie das
Control Wheel.
zZurück
Zurück ins Hauptmenü.
15 Treiber Installation
Es ist notwendig die entsprechenden Treiber vor der ersten Verbindung zum PC zu
installieren.
(1) Legen Sie die Treiber CD ins CD-ROM Laufwerk ein und starten sie die Setup.htm
Datei. Klicken Sie auf die Abbildung des entsprechenden Player.
(2) Wählen Sie “Run this program from its current location” um die Setup.exe zu
starten und klicken Sie “OK” um fortzufahren.
(3) Klicken Sie “Yes” um die Installation zu starten.
(4) Klicken Sie “Next” um fortzufahren.
(5) Klicken Sie “Yes” um die Lizenz Vereinbarung zu akzeptieren.
(6) Warten Sie bis das System alle Operationen durchgeführt hat.
(7) Klicken Sie “Finish” um die Installation abzuschließen und den PC neu zu starten.
16 Firmware Upgrade
Um die neueste Software für das Gerät zu betreiben, können Sie Mithilfe der folgenden
Punkte ein Firmware Upgrade durchführen. Führen Sie bitte für wichtige Daten eine
Datensicherung durch bevor Sie ein Upgrade installieren, da der Player nach dem
Upgrade formatiert wird.
Variante 1:
(1) Verbinden Sie den Player mit dem PC, kopieren Sie die *.Bin Datei, die Sie vom
Hersteller erhalten haben in das Verzeichnis des Player. (Sie können die Datei von
der Website des Herstellers downloaden insofern eine neue Version vorhanden ist.)
(2) Trennen Sie den Player vom PC und verbinden Sie ihn von neuen. “FIRMWARE
UPGRADE” wird auf dem Display angezeigt. Warten Sie bis dieser Prozeß komplett
abgeschlossen ist.
(3) Wenn die Anzeige “MASS STORAGE/USB-Speicher” auf dem Display erscheint war
das Upgrade erfolgreich.
WICHTIGE ANMERKUNG: Trennen Sie keinesfalls die Verbindung zwischen Player
und PC während des Upgrade. Andernfalls könnte der Player dadurch beschädigt
werden.
Variante 2:
(1) Kopieren Sie die *.BIN Datei auf den Player
(2) Schalten Sie den Player ein, das Firmware Upgrade beginnt automatisch.
WICHTIGE ANMERKUNG: Achten Sie vor dem Upgrade, dass die Batterien
genügend Spannung haben. Andernfalls könnte der Player dadurch beschädigt
werden.

3 System Requirements

4 Before Using
4.1 Connect to the PC and download audio files
For Windows 98/SE, you are required to install the included driver before connection.
For detail information about driver installation, see the “Driver Installation” section.
The MP3 player is a plug & play device for WIN2000/XP/ME OS. You don’t need to
install the driver. Just connect the player to the PC and download audio files following
these steps:
(1) Remove the USB cover to reveal the USB connector.
(2) Attach the USB connector of the player to the USB port of the PC.
(3) When you open “My Computer”, you see a removable disk which represents the
player. Now you can use the removable disk as a normal local disk drive, copying
audio files from or to the removable disk.
4.2 Removing the player from the PC safely
For Windows2000/XP:
(1) Left click the icon at the right hand corner of the taskbar.
(2) Click the pop-up mini-window with message of “Stop the USB Mass Storage Device
– Drive (X)”.
(3) Pull out the MP3 player when you are prompted to remove the device.
For Win98, please make sure to stop transferring data before unplugging the MP3 player.

4.3Installation of battery

8 Advanced Features
zFolder Navigation Mode
In the music or voice mode, press and hold the Control Wheel to enter the folder
navigation mode.
Turn the Control Wheel upwards or downwards to select folder or track.
Press the Control Wheel key or V+ key to open the selected folder.
Press the Control Wheel to play the selected track.
Press the V- key to close the current folder.

zUsing the Menu
Shortly press the key to enter the main menu.
Turn the Control Wheel upward or downward to select the menu item and press the
Control Wheel to confirm.
Press the key to return to the previous menu level. Or, do not press any key it will
return automatically in a few seconds.
To exit from the menu mode, on the main menu, select “Return” and press the
key to confirm. Or, do not press any key, it will exit automatically in a few seconds.
zA-B Repeat
To repeat specified section of the current track,
(1) Press the A-B key during playback to select the start point of the repeat. “A-”
shows on the screen.
(2) Press the A-B key again at the desired point to specify the end point of the
repeat. “A-B” displays instead. The section between the start point and the end
point begins to be played repeatedly.
(3) To end the A-B repeatpress the A-B key shortly.
zSelect Play Mode
You can switch between the following play modes:
Normal – Play all tracks in the current folder in order.
Repeat One – Play the current track repeatedly.
Repeat All – Play all tracks in the player repeatedly.
Folder - Play all tracks in the current folder repeatedly.
Shuffle – Play all tracks in the current folder randomly.
Preview – Play the first 10 seconds of every track in the current folder.
To select the play mode:
(1) Shortly press the key to enter the main menu.
(2) Move the Control Wheel to select the “Mode” item and press the Control
Wheel to confirm.
(3) Select the “Repeat” item and press the Control Wheel to show the provided
options.
(4) Select the desired mode option and press the Control Wheel to confirm.
Alternatively, you can press and hold the A-B key when the playback stops or
pauses to select the play mode.
zSwitch EQ Mode
You can play the tracks in different sound effect. The device provides 5 EQ modes:
Normal, Rock, Jazz, Classic and Pop.
To set the EQ mode:
(1) Enter the main menu, select “Mode” and press the Control Wheel to confirm.
(2) Select “Equalizer” and press the Control Wheel to show the provided options.
(3) Select the desired mode option and press the Control Wheel to confirm.
Alternatively, you can press and hold the A-B key during playback to switch the EQ
mode.
zSpecify the Scroll Speed
The scroll speed of the ID3 information (track title, artist, album etc.) is adjustable.
You can use the “Scroll Speed” option to specify the speed.
(1) On the main menu, select “Mode” and press the Control Wheel to confirm.
(2) Select “Scroll Speed” and press the Control Wheel to show the provided
options.
(3) Move the Control Wheel to adjust the speed and press the Control Wheel to
confirm.
zDelete Single Track
(1) Press and hold the Control Wheel to enter the folder navigation mode.
(2) Select the track that you want to delete and press the A-B key to delete it.
(3) Move the Control Wheel to select “YES” option and press the Control Wheel
to confirm deletion or press the key to cancel deletion.

zDisplay Lyric
To display the lyric during playback, you need to download a lyric file with the same
name as the current track title to the player. The extension name for the lyric file is
“.lrc”, you can download it from the related website.
Note: The lyric file and the track should be in the same directory.
9 Creating Playlist
You can select favorite tracks from the folders or root and group them to create a new
playlist. Make sure you’ve installed the audio media player (WINAMP is recommend) on
the PC before creating new playlist.
(1) Connect the player to the PC and run the
WINAMP audio media player software.
(2) Select tracks from the player and add them to
the playlist of the audio media player.
(3) Click “LIST DPTS” button and select “SAVE
LIST” to save the playlist as M3U file into the
player.
(4) Disconnect the player from the PC and turn on
it. On the main menu, select the “Playlist” item
and press the Control Wheel to enter the M3U
mode.
(5) Select the playlist that you’ve created and press
the Control Wheel to play it.
10 Voice Recording
zRecord
To record voice,
(4) Enter the Voice mode, shortly press the A-B key to start recording.
(5) Press the Control Wheel to stop recording and save the voice file.
Note: During recording, you can press the A-B key to pause and then press it again
to resume recording.
zPlay Voice File
Press and hold the Control Wheel to enter the folder navigation mode, open the
VOICE folder, select the voice file that you want to play and press the Control
Wheel to play it.
11 Line-in Encoding
With the line-in recording feature, you can encode the audio source from another
external audio device such as CD player into audio files and store them in the device.
To record external audio source,
(1) On the main menu, select “Record Setting” and press the Control Wheel to show
the options.
(2) Select “Source” and set the source as “Line in”.
(3) Connect one end of the Line-in cable to the audio output port such as earphone
jack of another external audio player.
(4) Connect the other end of the Line-in cable to the earphone jack of the MP3 player.
(5) Play the audio files on the external audio player. At the same time, enter the Voice
mode, and shortly press the A-B key on the MP3 player to start encoding. The
audio content from the external audio player is encoded into WAV or MP3 file and
stored in the “LINE” folder.
(6) Press the Control Wheel to stop encoding. You can go to the LINE folder to play
the encoded file.

12 Record Setting
You can set the recording format or audio source before recording. On the main
menu, select “Record Setting” and press the Control Wheel to show the options.
Select the audio source
For the “Source” item, to record voice through the internal microphone, select “MIC”.
To encode external audio source through the line-in cable, select “line in”.
Set the recording quality
(1) Select “Voice Record”, “Line Record” or “FM Record” and press the Control
Wheel to continue.
(2) Select “WAV File” or “MP3 File” and press the Control Wheel to confirm. For
MP3 file, you can turn the Control Wheel to adjust the bit rate. The higher the
bit rate, the better the recording quality but the more space needed.
Set the sensitivity
Set the line-in recording and FM recording sensitivity:
(1) Select “Line Record” and press the Control Wheel to continue.
(2) Select “Sensitivity” and press the Control Wheel to continue.
(3) Move the Control Wheel to adjust the sensitivity degree and press the Control
Wheel to confirm.
13 FM Radio Mode
In the FM radio mode, you can tune in the FM broadcasting station within the specified
frequency range.
zSearch for station
1. Auto Search
In the “Preset” mode, move the Control Wheel downward and hold it to start auto
scan. “Auto Scan” displays on the LCD. The device will search for all stations
automatically and save the found stations as preset stations. You can press the
Control Wheel to stop the search.
2. Manual Search
(1) Press the Control Wheel to switch to the “Jiggle” mode.
(2) Turn the Control Wheel to adjust the frequency.
(3) When you tune to the station with strong signal, you can save the station as
preset. For detail information about saving station, see the “Save Station”
section.
3. Auto search for station one by one
Press the Control Wheel to switch to the “Jiggle” mode, move the Control Wheel
downward and hold it to start scan. The device begins to search for station, and
then locks at the found station. You can press the Control Wheel to stop the
search.
To resume searching for another station, move the Control Wheel downward and
hold it once again. It goes on searching for the next station and then locks at it.

zSave Station
To save the received station as preset station:
(1) Tune to the station that you want to save.
(2) Press and hold the Control Wheel to save it.
(3) To save the station, press the V- or V+ key to select a position for the station,
and then press the Control Wheel to confirm. To cancel saving, turn the
Control Wheel downward to switch to the “NO” option and then press the
Control Wheel to confirm.
zSwitch Station
Press the Control Wheel to switch to the “Preset” mode, and move the Control
Wheel to switch the preset stations.
zDelete Station
To delete the preset station:
(1) Switch to the “Preset” mode.
(2) Switch to the station that you want to delete.
(3) Press and hold the Control Wheel to delete it.
(4) Press the Control Wheel to confirm. Or, turn the Control Wheel to switch to
“NO” option and then press the Control Wheel to cancel deletion.
zFM Encoding
You can encode the FM radio programs to MP3 or WAV file. When you are listening
to the station, press the A-B key to record the programs. For detail information about
recording, see the “Voice Recording” section. The encoded content is stored in the
RADIO folder.
You can set the recording format or sensitivity before encoding. For detail
information about record setting, see the “Recording Setting” section.
14 Customizing Settings
On the main menu, select the “Tools” item and press the Control Wheel to enter the
system settings mode.
zTimer
1 Play Time
To set the continuous playback time before which the player is turned off
automatically, select the “Play Time” option, and move the Control Wheel to specify
the time.
2. Shutdown
To set the length of time after which the player is turned off automatically when there
is no activity, select the “Shutdown” option, and move the Control Wheel to specify
the time.
zScreen
1. Backlight
To specify the backlight time, select “Backlight” and move the Control Wheel to
specify the time.
2. Contrast
To set the LCD contrast, select “Contrast” and move the Control Wheel to adjust the
contrast level.
zFormat
To format the player, you can use the “Format” option.
(1) Select the “Format” option and then press the Control Wheel to continue.
(2) Turn the Control Wheel downward to select “Yes” option and then press the
Control Wheel to start formatting.
Note: You are recommended strongly to use the “Format” option to format the
device.

zSystem Info
View the system information including version No., total capacity and remaining
space.
zLanguage
To select the display language, select “Language”, move the Control Wheel to
select the desired language and press the Control Wheel to confirm.
zReturn
Return to the main menu.
15 Driver Installation
You are required to install the driver first before connecting it to the computer.
(1) Insert the driver CD into the CD-ROM and execute the Setup.htm file on it. Click
the player picture with correct model.
(2) Select “Run this program from its current location” in order to execute Setup.exe
program at once, and then click “OK” to continue.
(3) Click “Yes” to start installation.
(4) Click “Next” to continue.
(5) Click “Yes” to accept the license agreement.
(6) Waiting for the system to execute the requested operations.
(7) Click “Finish” to finish the installation and restart the computer.
16 Firmware Upgrade
To get the latest version of the device, you can upgrade the firmware by the following
steps. Please backup your important data before upgrade because the player will be
formatted after upgrade.
Method 1:
(1) Connect the player to the PC, copy the *.BIN file provided by the vendor to root of
the player.(You can download the file from the vendor’s website if applicable)
(2) Disconnect the player from the PC and reconnect it. You see “FIRMWARE
UPGRADE” on the display. Please wait for the upgrade process to complete.
(3) When you see “MASS STORAGE” on the display, upgrade is successful.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Do not disconnect the player during upgrading. Otherwise,
the device may be corrupted.
Method 2:
(1) Copy the *.BIN file update file to the player.
(2) Power on the player, it will start firmware upgrade automatically.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: During upgrading, please make sure the battery charge is
enough. Otherwise, the device will be corrupted.
