CLEANINGTHECABINET
If your CDs jump tracks, skip passages or don’t play properly, this is likely to be
causedbysurfacedamageordirtontheCD rather than any fault of theunit.
In extreme cases, however, these phenomena could be due to dirt or dust on the
lens. If the CD lens gets dusty or dirty, use a proprietary lens cleaner and follow
theinstructions carefully. Alternatively,
Becareful never to scratch the surface ofthe lens.
Ifyou keep the CD cover closed at all times when the unit is not in use, the lensis
unlikelyto get dirty.
DoNOT clean the inside of the CDplayer with a cloth. Lightly blow outany dust.

Most MP3 discs are organised in folders. The disc is called the 'root' folder:
tracks put on the disc (not in a folder)will play first. Folders are like albums -
each one containing one or more songs. Discs should have no more than 40
folders(directories) and no more than 99 MP3 files in any folder.
Thediscplaysthe first track in the ROOT folder. When all the tracks are played
itwillthenplayallthetracksinthesecondfolderandsoon.
Press SKIP/SEARCH or repeatedly. When you come to
theendofafolder,thenextpresswillselectthefirsttrackinthenextfolder.
Press repeatedly.
PAUSEand Track Search work as in CD mode.

The player uses a memory buffer to prevent skipping
when the unit is subjected to shocks and vibration. This
function automatically turns on when play is started.
When ESP is operating, battery consumption is higher.
In normal use you may switch this function off to
conservebatterypower.
When a CD has finished or after STOP is pressed, the CD will stop. After a short
time,ifnofurthercommandsarereceived,theplayerwillswitchoff.
HOLD disables all player controls except playback.. Use this function when
youareon the move to prevent accidental operation.

BASIC PLAYER OPERATION
Unpack the player carefully. The packing consists of the player and a pair of
earphones. If any item is damaged or missing contact your nearest Tesco
store.Pleasehaveyourreceiptreadywhenyoucall.
Move the OPEN switch to the right to open the CD door.
Remove the packing piece from the CD compartment.
Unwraptheearphonesanduncurlthecord.
Retain the packaging. If you decide to dispose of the packing, do so having
regard to any recycling provisions in your area. Please retain these
instructions.Ifyoupasstheunitontoathirdparty,includetheseinstructions.
When the batteries run down the low voltage indicator in the player display
panel will light. Do not run the player on exhausted batteries. Always replace
batteriesinpairsandmakesurethattheyarenewandofthesametype.
