Powering Up
All fixtures must be powered directly from a switched circuit and cannot be
run off a rheostat (variable resistor) or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat
or dimmer channel is used solely for a 0% to 100% switch.
All fixtures must be connected to circuits with a working Ground.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

3. SETUP
To run light shows you can use a DMX-512 controller or run shows on two or
more fixtures set to master/slave operating mode. The combined number of
channels required by all the fixtures on a link determines the number of
fixtures that can be supported.
Fixtures on a DMX link must be daisy chained in one single line. Connecting
more than 32 fixtures may result in deterioration of the digital DMX signal.
The maximum recommended cable-run distance is 1640 ft.
The maximum recommended number of fixtures on a single link is 32.
To link fixtures together you’ll need DMX cables. You should always use data
grade cables that can carry a high quality signal and are less prone to
interference.
Standard microphone XLR cables will work, but are not designed for data
transmission, and could cause continuity issues.
OVERHEAD RIGGING requires extensive experience, including calculating
working load limits, installation material being used, and periodic safety
inspection of all installation material and the device. If you lack these
qualifications do not attempt the installation yourself, but instead use a
professional structural rigger.
Before rigging make sure the installation area can hold a minimum point
load of 10 times the device’s weight. Mount the device using an appropriate
clamp and always install a safety-rope that can hold at least 12 times the
weight of the fixture.

4. OPERATING FEATURES
Menu
When you first power up the fixture rSt will display as the fixture goes
through a self-test mode. Pressing the MENU button changes through the
various Menu options. Up and Down is used to change the options within the
separate menu settings.
Master/Slave
The master/slave operation enables several fixtures to be synchronized and
controlled by one master device.
1.) Use standard DMX cables to daisy chain your units together via the DMX
connector on the rear of the units
2.) Choose a unit to function as the Master. Select d-1- for sound active,
d-2- for slow room scan, d-3- for use with a remote (sold separately). The
master unit must be the first unit. Finally, chain the units together using
DMX cable.
3.) Select slave units by using the <UP>/<DOWN> keys to reach S-1- in
the Slave menu for identical movement, S-2- for reverse pan, S-3- for
reverse pan and tilt, S-4- for reverse tilt, and they will react with the
Master.
DMX Mode:
The Sixty Scan will automatically detect whether DMX 512 data is received.
If the data is received the display will show A.001 If there is no data it will
show A001
1.) DMX mode appears as A001 on the LED Readout. Use the <UP> and
<DOWN> buttons to choose a channel between A001 and A512.
Fixtures with the same DMX channel will operate similarly.

5. APPENDIX
Keeping Your Sixty Scan As Good As New
The Sixty Scan you’ve received is well tested and road worthy, and as long
as you take care of it, it will last. You should always keep the fixture clean,
especially if you are using it in an environment with a lot of dust and dirt.
Cleaning the manual focus lens exterior routinely with a suitable glass
cleaner will help improve the quality of light output. Please use a moist lint-
free cloth.
In transit, keep the Sixty Scan in a case to minimize wear and tear.
Returns
Like any complex piece of equipment designed and built by humans,
manufacturing errors can cause a problem. If you find yourself with a fixture
that isn’t behaving like it should, you’ll need to obtain a Return Merchandise
Authorization (RMA).
Then, you’ll need to send the unit to us using a pre-paid shipping method
that can be tracked. We suggest USPS or UPS.
Make sure you carefully pack the fixture for transit, and when possible, use
the original box & packing for shipping.
When returning your fixture for service, be sure to include the following:
1.) Your contact information (Name, Address, Phone, Email address).
2.) The RMA# issued to you
3.) A brief description of the problem/symptoms.
We will, at our discretion, repair or replace the fixture. Please know that any
shipping damage that occurs in transit to us is the customer’s responsibility.
