1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure all Health and Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are strictly adhered to when
using this equipment.
9Before using the stand ensure it is in good working order.
9Ensure the stand legs and arms are locked with respective pins and R clips before use.
9Replace or repair damaged parts. Use recommended parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the
warranty.
8DO NOT use unit if damaged.
9Keep the stand clean for best and safest performance.
9Use only with legs folded down and pinned.
9Locate the stand in a suitable work area, keep area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials. Ensure there is adequate
lighting.
9 Useonarm,levelsurfacecapableofsustainingthestandandtheload.
9 Maintaincorrectbalanceandfooting.Ensuretheoorisnotslipperyandwearnon-slipshoes.
9 Ensureallnon-essentialpersonskeepasafedistancewhilstthestandisinuse.
9 Lockmountingplateinpositionwithlockingpinbeforexingaloadandensuretheloadiscentredandsecurelymountedonthe
mounting plate.
9When an engine is mounted, take the weight of the engine on the handle before removing the locking pin.
9Ensure the stand and load are stable.
9To move a loaded stand, steady the load and push from behind the main post of the stand so that the castor wheels are ahead of the
load.
8DO NOT pull the unit backwards, or push from the side, as this may cause the stand to tip.
8DO NOT concentrate a heavy load to either side or end of the Engine Stand. This can cause the balance to shift suddenly, tipping
the Engine Stand and its load which can quickly cause severe injury and property damage!
9Ensure surface over which the stand is to travel is strong enough to take the stand and load and that it is not cracked, uneven,
sloped or obstructed.
8DO NOT allow untrained persons to use the stand.
8DO NOTexceedtheratedcapacityof680kg.
8DO NOT use to support humans or animals.
8DO NOT climb on the Engine Stand.
▲DANGER! DO NOT work under an engine mounted on the stand.
8DO NOT use the stand for purposes other than those for which it is designed.
9When not in use store stand in a safe, dry, childproof area.
9 Useextremecautionwhilerotatingthehandcranktorotatetheloadasalarge,top-heavyengineorsimilarobjectcouldresultina
sudden imbalance condition and cause the Engine Stand to suddenly tip.
▲DANGER! While rotating, always stand behind the crank end of the stand and make constant observations of the casters. If any
indication of instability occurs, STOP IMMEDIATELY!
▲DANGER! PINCH/CRUSH HAZARD!ThisEngineStandhasmoveablecomponentsthatcancrushandpinch.Keepngersand
hands away from pinch points when operating.
2. INTRODUCTION
Thisenginestandacceptsawidevarietyofenginesandtransmissions.TheGearedHandleDriveallowsforeasyandaccurate360ºrotationin
order to access all parts of the engine. Mounting head has four fully adjustable arms with bolt holes to accommodate various load sizes. Fitted
withscrewlocktoensureloadissecured.Swivelcastorsprovideexcellentmanoeuvrability.Assembledwithclevispinsandclipssothestand
can be folded for storage. Maximum Load Length: 700mm.

4. ASSEMBLY

WARNING! The Engine Stand consists of heavy metal components which can cause potentially serious injuries if allowed to drop.
WARNING! Avoid pinching hands while handling parts during assembly.
9Get the assistance of a helper during assembly.
9Assemble in a large, uncluttered area close to area of intended usage.
9 Leavexingslooseuntilassemblyiscompletethentighten.
9 Allowsucientareaforoperatorandhelpertoremainclearwhenchoosingoperatingarea.
NOTE Toprotectthenishoftheenginestandcomponentsfromdamageandscratches,usecardboard,carpet,blanketsetc.tocoverthe
area before beginning assembly.
4.1. Attachthecastors(item15)toeachendandmid-portionofthelegs(item17)usingsetscrews(item11).
4.2. Placelegs(item17)intoslotsinbase(item8)andusetwoleglockpins(item13)tosecureeachleg.Lockpinsinplaceusing
R-Clips(item14).
4.3. AttachSupportFoot(item42),EndCap(item41)tolegsandbase(item8).SecureendcapswithGrubScrews(item11).
4.4. AssembleMountingArms(item25)toHeadMountingPlate(item24)usingHexHeadBoltM12x65mm(item37),LargeWasher
(item36),SpringWasher(item29)andSteelNutM12Zinc(item38).
4.5. AttachMainPost(item2)toBase(item8)usingHexHeadBoltM14x90mm(item3),FlatWasherM14Zinc(item7)andSteelNut
M14Zinc(item6).
4.6. SecuretopsofSupportBraces(item5)againstMainPost(item2)andaligntheholes.InsertHexheadBoltM14x100mm(item4)
andsecurewithFlatWasherM14Zinc(item7)andSteelNutM14Zinc(item6).DO NOT over tighten until both ends are
located correctly.
4.7. SecurebottomendsofSupportBraces(item5)toBase(item8)usingHexheadBoltM14x100mm(item4)andsecurewithFlat
WasherM14Zinc(item7)andSteelNutM14Zinc(item6).DO NOT over tighten until both ends are located correctly.
5. OPERATION
WARNING: Ensure that legs are down and secured in the lowered position.
5.1. Only use mounting bolts of the equivalent grade or stronger as those supplied by the vehicle manufacturer to mount an engine,
transmission or other heavy assembly to this stand.
5.2. Oncethestandisinpositionandbeforemountingtheenginetotheframe,lowertheSupportFeet(item42)toremoveweight
bearingloadonthecastors(g.1).
5.3. TheMountingPlateisdrilledwith2boltpatterns,onesmallandonelarge.Inaddition,theMountingArmsareelongatedand
providefor90mmofadjustmentandcanbepositionedanywherewithin360°.Whilethesefeaturesallowforvirtuallyunlimited
combinations of mounting possibilities, it is the responsibility of the user to determine the best mounting arrangement and to
follow all safety warnings presented in the Safety Information section of these instructions.
5.4. The Swivel Castors are equipped with a Locking Brake Feature. These MUST be locked before adding a load to prevent
unintended movement of the Engine Stand while attaching the load.
5.5. TO ROTATE: Carefully grasp the Hand crank and slowly rotate it, which will in turn rotate the Mounting Plate with the load attached
inthedesireddirection.Whentheunitispositionedasrequired,locktheHandCrankinplaceusingthehandwheel(item39)(g.2)
WARNING! TIP HAZARD!UseextremecautionwhilerotatingtheHandcranktorotatetheloadasalarge,top-heavyengineor
similar object could result in a sudden imbalance condition and cause the Engine Stand to suddenly tip.
5.6. TO PREVENT UNDUE ROTATION:Screwinthehandwheel(item39)onthesideofthewormdriveunit(g.2).
5.6.1. While rotating, always stand behind the crank end of the stand and make constant observations of the castors.
WARNING! If any indication of instability occurs, STOP IMMEDIATELY!

6. STORAGE
6.1. FOLDING UP THE ENGINE STAND
6.1.1. Remove‘R’ClipsfromtheLockingPinsandsetasideforre-use
aslockingpins(see5.1.3).
6.1.2. RemovetheLegLockPinssecuringtheSideLeg(item17)
atpositionAong.1
NOTE:CarefullyholdtheEngineStandPost/MountingPlatesteady
with one hand to prevent it from falling forward while raising the legs.
6.1.3. Whenthelegislifted,xinplacebyplacingthelockingpinintothe
holenexttothepivotpointandrettheRclip(g.3).
7. MAINTENANCE
7.1. Keep all moving components of the Engine Stand well lubricated and free of any dirt or debris accumulations.
7.2. TheEngineStandisnishedinruggedpowdercoating.Howeveritisadvisabletokeepthenishcleanandfreefromexcessive
dust and dirt.
7.3. Keep the Engine Stand in a clean and dry environment. DO NOTstoreitin,orexposeitto,adamporwetenvironment.
7.4. Before each use, inspect all components for potential damage and proper alignment. Check all hardware for tightness

7.5. Occasionallyaddlithiumgreasetothegreasepointslocatedonthemainpivotshaftandgearbox(g.2).
