Turnappliancetester on bypressingboth theONand OFFbuttons together.
CLASS IEQUIPMENT
1. Plug applianceintothesocket of theappliancetester
2. EnsuretheEarth clipis connected to an exposedmetal partof appliance undertest
3. TURN APPLIANCE ON
4. Press theClassI button
5. If ‘LO LOAD’appears,Leakage testmaybe required. Pressthe Class Ibutton again to
continue
6. Once testhas complete,record testresult and tagappliance

3. TURN APPLIANCE ON
4. Press theClassII button
5. If ‘LO LOAD’appears Leakagetestmay be required. Press the ClassII button again to
continue
6. Once testhas complete,record testresult and tagappliance
EXTENSIONLEADS/POWERBOARDS
1. Plug the extensionlead intothe front of the PAC3760and usingtheextensionleadadaptor
provided (RED),plug intothe IEC socket
2. PRESS theClassI button (the PAC3760will detect thatit is anextensionlead)
3. Once testhas complete,record testresult and tagextensionlead

LEAKAGE CURRENT TESTING
1. Ensure PAC3760+ is plugged into mains power (240V is required)
2. Plug appliance into the socket of tester and connect the Earth lead as normal.
3. Turn Appliance ON
(Take into consideration any dangerous moving parts thatwill be energised when leakage
current test is applied)
4. Press ‘Class I’ and ‘LKGE’ button together for Class I equipment
or
Press ‘Class II’ and ‘LKGE’ button together for Class II equipment
5. If ‘LO LOAD’ appears, please check if appliance under test is switched on and plugged in.
Press the ‘LKGE’ button again to continue or ‘Class II’ to cancel
6. If ‘HIGH LOAD’ appears, the appliance under test will draw a high current of electricity with
the potential of blowing a fuse in the PAC3760+. Press the ‘LKGE’ button to continue or the
‘Class II’ to cancel.
7. Once test has complete,record test result and tag appliance
SURGE PROTECTED
1. Use Leakage test as above.
RCDS
1. Ensure PAC3760+ is plugged into mains power (fixed RCDs) or Isolation Transformer for
Portable RCDs.
2. PRESS ‘10mA’ Button or ‘30mA’Button depending on the rating of the RCD under
test. Trip time in milliseconds will be displayed on screen at 0°
3. Repeat Step 2. This time the test will be performed at 180°.
4. Record highest reading and tag.
